I'm waiting for his next project; despite being 21 I doubt my folks would agree to let me jet off along the Phantom trail ((Kakoda?!)); we're not exactly a rich family and unless we won the lottery or even a prize pack to go see Phantom again, realistically it's not going to happen.
I'll just be happy as soon as I know what the heck as happened to this flamin' letter!! *swear* Any correspondence from him at all concerning the petition will hold me for a little while longer. I'll worry about holding out for his return to Adelaide after that.
One worry at a time.

They probably would be a lot less protective if I had been like L.A. growing up; happy, fun, out-going ... friends ... But even if I was they would still be a bit protective of me because I'm the last of 9.

Ha, it's not mum that's had the 9, it's dad; for mum, I'm the last of two. Dad had already married, had seven children and divorced by the time he met mum in the Philippines. I grew up with my sister; my other brothers and sisters had all grown up ((except one brother, Matthew, who died when he was a few months old)) by then. So, I have nieces and nephews that range from a decade junior to a decade senior.

I suppose they would be, if we ever saw each other. Apart from my remaining brother, my sister in law, their children, and my oldest sister ((who's a few years' younger than my mum, actually)), we don't really have family reunions. My other sisters aren't too fond of dad because when they were growing up he was the one that would put them in their place. Of course, they're all leading successful lives now ((Wendy, for example, is a business tycoon and was once on the cover of the CareerOne section in the Sunday Mail paper)), and they have families of their own, but honestly, I haven't seen any of them since Nana Ruby's funeral in 02. L.A. has seen them as she once lived very close to them, and I guess she might run into them now and again in Adelaide ... but that's about it.

^ The DVD during the free made it all good, didn't it (and you so freeze framed it XD )
Mars if the letter was in yellow envelope it may have been express post, and can usually be traced wherever its been stamped, so you can find out if it got to the Princess and went no further, or got stamped in NSW in its trip up the coast (hopefully finishing in Brisbane)

- his incredible character acting talents and ability to inhabit roles and make you believe that the character he has morphed into at the time is what he is like all the time.
(seriously, after my mar-anthon over the last few days, comparing the different roles from Corcoran to the Learned Judge, I was really struggling to think of any character actor, past or present, let alone singer who could pull off those roles so convincingly, without you thinking "Yeah that's really good, but it's Johnny Depp - or whoever - being really good as a gypsy/pirate/throatslitter etc. I could only think of Peter Sellers ie Dr Strangelove, Chance the Gardener, Inspector Clouseau etc, but then he couldn't sing. And most other role changes, especially in movies, rely so heavily on make up, body suits and gimmicks rather than pure acting talents. Eddie Murphy. I rest my case! Can anyone else think of anyone who comes even close?)

Was very interesting. Had first choir practice tonight for the year and an alto friend of mine in the choir is a drama teacher and previously professional actress. I had to bring my CD along for her to touch (she was one of the first people I SMSd in little Bourke St on THE day, cos she was in hospital) and we had quite a long Ant praising session after practice tonight. She was fortunate to go backstage after Fledermaus because Christopher Dawes is a friend of hers, it was his birthday and he and Ant were sharing a dressing room in Melbourne. I asked her what her lasting impression of the night was, and she said "The eyes. I just couldn't stop looking at them. And the expressive hands........" She drifted off into a reverie and I had to shake her out of it! She is in her early fifties and deputy head of a huge private school and not prone to great flights of fancy, but she reckons of all the performers she has ever met (and she has met a few in her working career, both in Australia and UK) that he made the most lasting impression!! I put forward my theory about trying to think of a greater character actor working anywhere today and she couldn't think of anyone either.
