My name is Joe and I'm from the US. (alabama) I'm about to finish a degree in vocal performance and another in theatre. I have been listening to Anthony since I was 15 years old. I will move to New York soon and will be in the theatre circle there. I actually spoke to a couple of actors at a bar, and Anthony is not as little known asI thought in New York. In fact, many actors knew exactly who I was talking about and if they didn't, they had heard him without knowing they had heard him. Anyways, I joined because I noticed some of the people here are the people who are posting the videos on youtube. Since the website hasn't been updated for (enter whatever term for eternity you use here), I hoped I would able to keep better track of things here. Instead of being surprised by wikipedia and youtube every now and again. Thanks for the welcome and any other sound bytes or interviews or videos I don't know about, any links would be helpful. Thanks, joe

Hello Joe! ((lol, I always wanted to do that)) WELCOME TO UNEXPECTED SONG!! Ooh, your post just gave me an idea; I'm gonna edit wikipedia You mean you haven't tried it yet? You'll love it, and it will drive you nuts when someone else edits your edits! I've contributed a good deal to two other theatrical entries - one for my actress niece, which is a problem when verifiable sources are requested, because I can't very well say "I'm her AUNT!" can I?

Actually I have taken a hand to editing wiki in the past; after the Christmas special on channel 2 I altered a sentence on Warlow's page ((from "will be shown" to "was shown" or something like that)). But I'm thinking: Advertising. Naughty naughty, but it's Warlow related!!

Hehehe. When i checked last night there didn't seem to be anything in the central text about Warlow's return to Phantom... or did i miss it? I know there's an article in the links.
*Sorry for going OT guys; perhaps we should have a "Ant info on Web" thread or something similar.....??

Hmm possibly; I don't mind conversations going off track because it's natural that they do.
I didn't put anything about Phantom in there because I don't have all the info and I wasn't sure on what to write anyhow. I just added the link to the forum in External Links. Wasn't much but at least it's there.

Hello Hello one and all from NY State - Central NY that is. My name is Julie and I have been a HUGE fan of Broadway since my first memory of life and I will admit to having my favorites I will also admit w/ guilt and shame that until I found Marie's myspace page I had never heard of this incredibly talented man (WHERE HAVE I BEEN!?!?). However in the last week (when the twins are sleeping and mom needs some sanity) I have been online falling in love. Thank you so much.

A big welcome from South Australia, Julie! ((I hope you got the welcome PM; I recently set in a code to send the welcome message out automatically but I don't know if it worked!)) Lol my MySpace promotes Warlow more than it does me ((which is actually fine by me, he's "Loverly")). I'm glad you took the time to register and I hope you have as much fun here as we are ((and a little more on the side ;D))

Just wanted to say Hi, I'm new here but have been a huge fan of Anthony's many years! I'm older than most of you on this site it seems, but I'm really happy to see that Anthony is loved by the younger generation as well as my own!
As you may have guessed by my name I also love Jazz as well as opera etc. I love everything that Anthony has done so far, but have only seen him live twice. Once at the Hunter Valley for his show in the vineyards (It was fantastic!) and in Pirates recently (also fantastic!). I'll be seeing him do Phantom in Sept. this year and never even dreamt that he would reprise the role - so seeing him do Phantom is going to be amazing!
Hope you all don't mind an old girl coming to join - but we all have our love of Anthony in common!
So Hi to all!

Oh! jazzgirl - i saw him also at the Vineyards (i agree - great stuff... except we had some "merry' people around us who decided to join in on "Mucis of the Night" and i wanted to shoot them) and i saw him in Pirates AND I too shall be seeing him in Phantom in September! What a bloomin' small world! OH! And welcome! (where are my manners?!)

Thanks for the warm welcome's - you guy's are great!
And I totally agree, Anthony has universal appeal - age, gender etc. I think it's because of his huge ability to cross between lots of musical styles and he's a terrrific actor to boot! Fans can enjoy all of his music (like us) or only the style they feel comfortabel with.
neh, I've got bookings for Sat. 29th Sept. 8.00pm show - what day are you going? And I would have wanted to knock those fools of their chairs (at the vineyards!), we were lucky the people near us were well behaved but, those chairs! They were terribly uncomfortabe all tied together so that they couldn't be moved, I was royally P....d off! I have some pic's from the show, they are not great - a bit fuzzy etc. but if you guys would like to see them I can put them up? - let me know. My husband and I saw Harry Connick Jr the year before at the vineyards and we had drunken fools all around us - some people have no restraint! My friend had a full glass of wine spilled all over him - but the show was amazing all the same. Anthony and Harry are my two fav. guy's - absolutely love them both! Pirates was a lot of fun and I've got the DVD now - you get to see all the nuances of the characters. Anthony's facial expressions are hilarious.
Thanks again for the warm welcome, it's lovely to be able to talk to other people who are just as insane about Anthony as I am - my friends and family are quite sick of me telling them how incredible he is all the time!

I'll try to get my one good shot from the show up soon; it's not actually mine, coz the few i tried to take came out as just a mesh of lights from a long way away, or Ant was just a far-off black figure. Our friend however was the professional photographer for the evening and he sent me a shot - it's certainly not the best and the angle makes Ant's face look chubby but it was mighty nice of Andrew to do that for me! *salute* It's really silly that i didn't get any good qulity shots coz although our designated seats were far off, i snuck down and sat on the grass right by stage left for about half an hour during the evening, while the evil security people weren't around. I wasn't the only one who did this, hehe, and it felt good to stick it to the system (or so i told myself) coz a gaurd had shooed me away from the stage at the beginning of the evening, before Ant was even out. I had been standing with Andrew right by the ramp leading up from backstage, in order to capture (on film! not literally... although that's tempting) Ant as he walked on, but then Andrew had to go do something and i was told to beat it! CURSE THEM!!!!!! But sitting on the grass right by the stage was lovely; he sang This is the Moment, and a swing number, and did all his impressions while i sat there, staring and smiling with my head in my hands... sigh! And he looked over at me coz i cheered when he first said the (magic) words "Jekyll and Hyde" - he pointed and said something like "Oh! Someone's read the book!" and i laughed and waved like an idiot, even though i was actually just cheering coz i knew what was coming! .... ah, the memories! Sorry everyone, for that ramble!

I don't bother with the outdoor concerts any more (such as Opera in the Alps/Vineyards, etc.,) the tickets are too expensive - even the cheapest and farthest from the stage - and the behaviour of many patrons leaves a lot to be desired! (Maybe the outdoor locale makes them feel they're at some sporting event and they forget their manners when they've had a few glasses of wine.) It's hard to pass up any chance of seeing a favourite artist perform, but I prefer to save the money and put it towards tickets for "proper" concert and theatre performances!

Haha - as a rough guide - if you have the DVD of Pinfore/Trial By Jury, David Hobson is about 6'6. Compare Anthony with David to get some idea. Suffice to say, they'd both do well on a basketball team! David is about 6'2'' at the max - I'm 5'4" and in lowish heels I come up to his chin, but he still has to stoop when he kisses me . Anthony is an inch or so shorter. I was at Middle Eight Music the day they opened, and have a picture of the three of us together. Sorry about the delay in following this up, but talking to David after his concert last Saturday night I settled the question of his height once and for all and he's 6'1", so Marie-Chris (or was it Windbelle?) was right to guess that Anthony was at least 5'11".

I never made a guess; credit to windbelle. I think I'm about 5"3. Now ... is that a good thing? XD
EDIT: You talked to David. *Jealous much.*

Hey guys! My name is Harry Perrin. I am a 19 year old freshmen in college from Houston, Texas, USA. I so excited to have found a Warlow Fan Forum. It looks exciting and I look forward to establishing myself in the community. I became a fan of Anthony's back in 1995. I was very young. I was the newsie in the original 1995 "world premiere" workshop of Jekyll and Hyde with Theatre Under the Stars in Houston, Staring Robert Cuccioli, Linda Eder, and Christiane Noll. I remember being mad that Bob wasn't J&H on the concept album, but then I listened to it. I own every solo albums, several casts albums, and I am totally obsessed. It's nice to be here!!

Welcome Harry and wow! What an experience with J&H - I'm most envious! Master - looky here! That's just darn spiffy, Harry (please forgive me if around July i start calling you Haz and make random references to death and Voldemort and the magical community, because i'm a HP head and there is no cure!) I'm so glad you found us and have a great time. SPREAD THE ANT LOVE!
