^ Doesn't it though? And this is by far the best forum I've ever joined, because its Australian so I don't miss 1000 posts overnight, and I actually feel included Plus meeting peoples from on here has been awesome, except when trying to explain how I know you- 'Well I met them on the internet and stayed with them in Sydney...' somehow that freaks people out. No idea why...

Maybe she is. At least my grandparents have let up the jokes that you're all 70 year old men- they won't let go of jokes regarding the fact I shared a room with Josh. That's getting a little old.

No idea why... Those conversations are always the fun conversations. Like when I went down to Melbourne with a friend from NZ I met a week prior from the internet, to meet several other people I knew from the internet to see Episode III of Star Wars. Got a very 'WTF' look from some family members and friends, but it turned out great

A late thank you for all the warm welcomes! (And cakes and rockmelons?? =P) Just heard the sad news about the LAS. Hope all you guys who were planning to come down in December manage to sort things out with work/flights/etcetc. Hey fellow Kiwi! I'm fro msouth auckland, and I just saw POTO too. When did you go see it? I did on the 22 october. The civic's a great place isnt it? And yes us kiwis are somewhat deprived! We need Phantom of the opera more often. Especially if the two main females are from our very own country! And hi there, Kiwi I'm a West Aucklander myself, currently displaced to the wintery depths of Dunedin (would you believe it SNOWED here the other day? In November??! Madness!). You're absolutely right, the Civic is gorgeous. I gotta admit I was a little skeptical beforehand (thought the Civic was kind of small initially) but it turned out great; the acoustics were pretty spot on as well.

A belated welcome to Kiwi, complete with cake I should add that i come from a city with it's own Civic Theatre and it's mighty pretty too.... although considerably smaller *but we're still very proud of it*

We also possess a Civic Theatre. It's a disgrace which we don't even call a theatre. The acoustics? Crap. It's a giant eyesore the council keeps trying to sell to developers who just won't take it. Our beautiful (actual) theatre, Her Majesty's, stripped the Civic all its equipment so now it's just a shell. Most Ballaratians just pretend it doesn't exist...

The closest theatre we have is Chaffey up in Renmark; I think the only good thing about it is the fact that Jon English performed there the year' I was born ((that and I saw The Idea of North there)). It's an odd theatre; not completely dead-air in terms of acoustics but not ... satisfying, either. Backstage has more acoustics than the theatre does.
Someone re-did the interiour since I was there last; large zig-zag like lines on the walls painted in flat tones of blue, white and yellow. And someone tried to align the colour of the seats to match up the strips if you looked side-on but it just looks like a damn mess.

I love our Maj. If any of you are ever in the Ballarat region, go have a poke around. The interior (when rehauled) was designed by the same guy who designed the Princess, so it's a bit familiar. And any of the staff will glady lead you around the catacombs and give you a complete guided tour. Hell, I will! I loves my theatre.

i first saw the signs for phantom, outside the civic when me and a few other kids from my school won a competition. the prize giving was at the civic. it was really cool to be able to in the civic and sit wherever for free. sadly the didnt let us into the circle, but we wandered everywhere else. so i can proudly say i've stood on the civic stage. we were the first there so we had ages to wander around and run up to the skycity metro and grab some burger king. man that was a good day!
and in the afternoon we went on tv!

*waves* Hi there! My names Helen (but feel free to call me jotablue!), and I've been a fan of Anthony since Thursday the 28th of August when I watched The Phantom of the Opera! Haha was anyone here at that show? I was in the second row and a lady in the first row tapped Vanessa’s shoulder after the show and told her she’s seen the show 7 times and that was the best one so far. Haha I thought that was something someone here would do ;D I probably won’t be posting much since I am really really really shy but I really admire how everyone on this forum is so nice and encouraging for Anthony's co-stars-especially a certain Sheriff!

Welcome to the site Helen! I wasn't at that show but that lady could very well be from this site, we'll soon see! Don't worry, a lot of people on here are shy but with time you'll feel comfortable posting. Everyone here is really nice

G'day Helen! Welcome to Unexpected Song! ^)_^ I probably won’t be posting much since I am really really really shy It's okay to be shy, there's no rush to post! I'm actually quite shy IRL and many people here can vouch for that. Just ease yourself into it; try the word games! No conversation, just flat-out posting of a couple of words or so! ((Although conversations do tend to happen underneath, but by playing the word games you get to ease yourself into the atmosphere without everything rushing at you at once.)) but I really admire how everyone on this forum is so nice and encouraging for Anthony's co-stars-especially a certain Sheriff! *cough* *choke* *cough* Poor Roy. Watch out for this one Helen, she'll corrupt your mind! This forum was innocent until she came along and now we're trying to steam-clean the seats.

Hehe, Mr Whippy.
No, I'm just a wuss, and I have some self confidence issues. I tend to say stuff and then wonder if I've just made myself sound like a lunatic. But I'm getting better. My first hundred or so posts, I'd think about a post for at least a day before I actually posted it...

Greetings from one of the 2 or 3 guys these ladies keep around for tax purposes Helen!
And don't worry, the people on this forum are very tame compared to many of the other web forums I've been on in my life, just be yourself and you'll be fine!

I think you're our youngest member to register to date; the only others I can think of were around 15 - 16 when they registered. I have no way of checking for sure unless I maticulously go through every single account, jot down their registration dates as well as their Birthdays and work it out from that.
I should finish the media player and update all the archives before even considering doing that. T)_T
