Hi there. I'm a recent Ant fanatic, the consequence of seeing Phantom in Adelaide. If I'd only seen it once, I might have been able to escape with only a mild dose of Warlow worship. But by the time I'd seen him twice I was hooked. Utterly and completely. By the third time (the final night) there was no recollection of life as it was before.
And it looks like here I have found a group of people who understand what it is like to drift off at the recollection of a phrase, a note, a gesture.
I've booked my ticked for the mikado (the week before the last perfomance, not having known about US at that point). And can't wait for Pirates. Hope there will be an US contingent there.

Welcome to Unexpected Song mumble! Naturally there's some US members going to The Mikado and eventually to Pirates - sadly I have no idea what anyone's plans are for Mikado as I'm not going, but chances are you'll run into them at any show ((or walk past them, as you don't know anyone yet)).

School ones? Your school does musicals/plays? You'd be mad not to be in any of them from your so called 'non-talent' of singing? Haha.

Welcome sjohnsonmb! I hope you enjoy your stay here, and please have some cake. Ant's stint in Pirates should have, by laws of physics, converted any formerly hardened heart into an instant Warlovian and i'm glad it did the trick for you!

Welcome to Unexpected Song Saskia! Have you considered joining amateaur ((note that I can't spell)) productions in the future? I was with the G&S Society of S.A. earlier this year and I had a blast. Just ensemble, but that's what I auditioned for. And that's quite a username ... I think I might have to think of a nickname for you, I don't know if I can remember all that

Sas ... that's good! Okay, thanks Sas!
It's really good to get involved in local ((or ... somewhat local, as I had to travel to the city twice a week for Orpheus in the Underworld)) productions - since it's ameteur ((aw dammit, where's my bloody dictionary?!)) it can be less than serious sometimes but it can also present you with good challanges. And the quality of the performances can also depend on the quality of the company ((if you enter a really laid-back company, chances are it'll either be hideously lacking or rather fun - it all depends)). Plus you get to meet some wonderful people along the way.
