Good news - Alex is back on stage and doing well! Feel so sorry for him missing so many shows in his home town. Son... the eyewitnesses did no chasing!

Yeah, it must have been so frustrating not being able to perform! Hope everything starts looking up for him!

Well with the sad news of Roy leaving PoTO after Perth and Simon gone, will that make Alex the primary Phantom understudy for Adelaide?

That's what I was thinking. So what are we looking at for the Adelaide mats? Alex as the Phantom and his understudy as Raoul? ((I still haven't learnt all the names! Shame!))

David Somerville comes to mind as Alex's u/s for Raoul. Saw him in Syd when Alex was in Perth promoting.

David has left the cast now, the new understudy is Robert Bertram.

Gah! What's with all the cast up and leaving?
Thanks Jess, has Robert had a chance to play Raoul yet and has anyone seen him?

Yeah, David was meant to finish at the end of Auckland but they brought him back for Perth when Alex got sick and injured himself. I don't think Robert was quite ready so early in the season. But from what I have heard he's done a few shows in the role now.

That's ... um... an interesting word you've made there. I'd ask if that was on purpose, but considering whom I'd be asking....

yes it was on purpose. It's quicker than typing "Alex as Phantom" It's usually meant for Ant (PhANT) but what the hey, they are sharing roles!

I meant more along the lines of the pronunciation...

Ok I've taken too much cold and flu tabs and it's cloudy up here......................... PhAlex? pronounced falex!

Yeah, that's the one....
Oh, doesn't matter. Just shrug it off as me being crazy.

Fredus - I also thought of the pronunciation in the same way you obviously did. Naughty Poppy!!

I really must be sick, because I still don't get it and using the words of Pauline Hanson "please explain".

Welllll - there's a word that begins with ph that sounds very much like what you have written. Do I need to say more? If you read any of the novels by James Lee Bourke he always seems to mention the "ph" word several times.

Sorry Lynne, still not following and I haven't read any James Lee Bourke novels. Is it a body part? Please put me out of my misery. EDIT ;)thanks lynne
