*Cue trumpet fanfare*
This is my first ever thread!
*Lights confetti & throws sparklers*
(Oops - that would be an OH&S risk and I intend to make this thread a very safe place to be, with a non-slip surface on the shower floor so no-one falls over on the wet tiles and bangs their head, a water temperature limiter so no-one gets burned and a shower timer so no-one wastes water. I've spent way too much time thinking about this. Can you guess?)
The thing is, for every song I came up with that Erik wouldn't be caught dead singing, I discovered one that he perhaps would sing in the shower while working out how to woo Christine and what went wrong with his life, songs that truly reflect the situation between Erik and Christine, songs written and performed by others that wouldn't be out of place in the story of Phantom of the Opera if we turned it into a jukebox musical.
Of course, it's probably a big stretch to assume his underground lair has even got any bathing facilities at all, let alone a shower, but given that he's always so immaculately turned out, one has to draw the conclusion that not only does he have a fully equipped bathroom, but a laundry complete with washer, tumble dryer and ironing station. I can't somehow, see Erik sitting in a Laundromat in his jocks waiting for his washing to finish (well, I can, but that's just my own personal fantasy). I'm assuming he hasn't got much of a kitchen though, and sends out for take away (Meals on Gondolas?) and orders supplies such as toiletries, cleaning products and clothes on-line. I can't see him pushing a trolley around le Supermarket late at night waiting for the markdown specials or le Shopping Centre looking for a gentleman's outfitters that specialise in fedoras and capes. (And if I lived in Paris, I would eat out every night too.)
But I digress............
