Thanks for that jayko. Did a bit more research so people would know round the country when and where to tune in. This is what I found on a Rugby League Forum. It will be shown on either Channel 9 or WIN, except it would seem in regional SA (sorry Mar - a trip to Adelaide for Sunday afternoon?)

Ant and Rugby? Just doesn't seem to mesh in my head....
But I'll have to watch now, won't I? (And without complaining- that's a first)

@mar - Phew! That's OK then. I wasn't sure whether you had Channel Nine or WIN. It would seem WIN in regional SA is the only regional network not taking the coverage. And not everyone gets Channel 9 - only the capital cities of the mainland states! The rest of the country has the regional networks which take feeds from the main networks but not always directly. In Tas, we have WIN which takes programmes pretty much direct from 9 and then Southern Cross which takes a mix of programmes from 7 and 10, and then a digital channel which takes some programmes from 10 but then tops it up with endless repeats of The Simpsons and Law and Order!

Interest lot of pre-match entertainment they've got...And I love how all he's doing is singing the national anthem yet we're suddenly all taping the Rugby (YKYAWW... )

go the storm!!!! (is it greedy to win 2 premierships in 2 weeks?!) If the AFL grand final is anything to go by, you'll see the performer for 2 seconds. They'll use the steady cam to go through each player standing in the line. But you'll obviously hear his voice

And pray that his microphone works better than it did for Billy Idol in that infamous NRL Grand Final pre-game entertainment disaster!

But the biggest laugh I've ever had at a Grand Final (well except for Angry Anderson and the Batmobile, and listening to Roy and HG's commentary on TripleJ while watching the ever-so-serious TV coverage).

Any chance that the AFL and every other sporting organisation will record Ant singing the national anthem and use it in future instead of the Julie Anthony (I wonder if she signs herself Julie Anthoy?) version, which is good, but has been played over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over......... Has Julie done anything recently that DIDN'T involve the words "girt by sea"?

Don't think she has....i like julie singing the national anthem, at least she doesn't butcher it like some people i've heard......like a game of soccer in malayasia,i think, it sounded like they just dragged some drunken woman out of a karaoke club and shoved her in front of a mic to sing AAF...never have i seen or heard a casino go so quiet then errupt into fits of laughter/anger at that. Besides i harbor a wish for ANT & JULIE A. to duet on AAF.

Thanks heaps jayko and for the heads up and Sandy for the program details.
Now got to remember to change the DVD recorder clock back or forward with the early start of daylight savings so I actually record it.

I've managed to convince someone at work to tape it for me. He thinks I'm a peabrain, and laughed at me all day. Though from what he's said, I suspect his wife is a closet Warlovian. So she'd probably tape it anyway. I just wish Gary would stop referring to him as 'Anthony Blow-hole'.

I've found what appears to be a detailed breakdown of the pre-game entertainment from bestbets.com.au (I hope this is accurate!):
