Tonight Mars, Lauren and myself had the honor, and extreme joy, of meeting Ant *thud*
During our rather breathless and rambled introduction, Ant pointed to Mars and said "You have a website, and you're on it" pointed to me, "and you're on it..." pointed to Lauren. We were semi-speechless, managing to ask "You've been on it?"
His reply? "I was told about it by some people and have had a look"- He's seen this website!
This last part is on behalf on Marie-Chris, our fearless leader, as well as myself and Lauren, not that we have much power XD
Although we're all about having fun, being rather crazy at times, and of course talking about Ant, we just wanted to draw your attention to the fact he has read this site, and that in the future we should keep that in mind, and keep it clean (-ish!) and respectful.
On the other hand HE KNOWS ABOUT US!! WE'RE ALL SEMI-FAMOUS XD

Thanks for that windbelle, and that is pretty accurate to describe our expressions when he said website thing. It was the strangest emotion I've ever felt, a cross between surprise, shock, happiness and an antasm XD And Nat, we all totally forgot about the petition in light of the fact that we were talking in Ant! EDIT: I'm paranoid about guests now.....any one of them could be him.....  |

Completely understandable, I would have forgotten about it too! I would have been lucky to remember my own name. Given that he has seen the site though, he might already be aware of it...
I'm hoping to track him down after the show next week and if by some chance I stumble upon him and I'm going to ask him if there are plans on doing a cast recording.

And just in case you do read this Anthony, I'm actually quite mature and hold down an incredibly physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually demanding job and you shouldn't be the least bit scared of me! I will endeavour to keep things clean(ish) in future though it may cause my nose to bleed and my kneecaps to drop off!! my natural bent is towards smut which comes from more years than I can remember working in the theatre (operating not musical) and my formative years spent watching Carry On movies and Up Pompeii, and listening to Round the Horne (especially Rambling Sid Rumpo). Look it up young readers, it's worth a listen!!!

well once we could actually talk we asked him to sign some stuff, we talked about the show and the costumes (like how his asian gown and hat are the same ones he wore in the original!), and how he knows this site!!! we talked about singing, like he says phrasing (think thats the word?) is important to him when he sings. He even mentioned the cancer, then we were somehow talking about julie andrews, and his car. but we completely blanked on the petition!!! damn, coz Mar (who conducted herself very well i might add) had a nice printed copy of it and all. lol im still trying to compile all the little bits of meeting him into order!

the show was great, Ant was very into it, i've never heard him scream like he did last night! Towards the end, in his lair he defiently kicked it up a notch, julie was christine and i was quite surprised by how good she was.

Yeah i actually like Julie better than Ana. As wonderful as Ana is, Julie's voice is just amazing. Pretty incredible for a 19 year old.

My God, from PonR (including hands going everywhere!) to the final notes it was....amazing. It was kicked off the scale of notches  And Loz, I dreamt about the convo all night and woke up convinced it was a dream until I saw my poster... although i basically said about 10 words to him.. i was sooooo shy. i regret not talking to him more but atleast iv met him. We were so lucky, he just stayed and talked to us- about the show, about his past, about us- he seemed to like Lauren's sister, because she was quiet and in the background, and didn't scream when she saw him XD |

Aww you guys are lucky!!!! Yeahh I probably couldn't have screamed. I was in absolute shock/awe! I was a bit shattered tho cas he seemed to b in a rush to leave and might have been in a bit of a bad mood cas he wouldnt let me have a picture with him and he seemed quite flustered.. I was still happy though that he did stop to talk and he was happy to sign my program making sure he'd spelt my name rit. lol i thought he was annoyed that I caught him on his way out cas he wanted to know how I knew about the 'door'. And then when he told me that ther wasnt going to b a recording i was on the verge of tears half becas I was soo happy to meet him and half bcas of the recording and the pic. but everyone has the bad days and i just hope it wasnt me that upset him.. anyway Im really happy you guys met him and got sigs and photos an all!!  XD |

Lauren will probably do a full account on her myspace blog- and she's much better at doing recaps than me, because I tend to remember what was said, with random little details that don't make sense if you weren't there XD
Plus when Mars gets back - I'm supposed to say "Hi" for her, by the way- she'll probably do a second by second dissection lol

I panicked! I was absolutely petrified!!! BTW, my review might just bust a bubble, but it'll blow out a few new ones. I'm going to do it in the Phantom of the Opera thread like last time, including pictures ((maybe not so soon as I haven't worked out how to get mum's camera hooked up to the computer yet)). I'm so glad to see you all had fun in my absence; BTW, neh says hello and wishes she was here. She might be able to get onto her neighbour's computer at one point but atm they're not home so she can't ask. Now I must really see what else you've all been up to this week. |
