I've had enough of a nightmare filling out the form for Youth Allowance ((it took me all day and it's still not finished)), I don't need erectile Crawfords and Hoffs.

It's the thought of a rampant MC that I find even more disturbing. An aroused Frank Spencer is just WRONG!!!!!!!

Mine arrived today. It's sitting in its envelope, which is already nearly worn out because I keep checking the ticket's still there. And I bought a new suitcase today for Sydney as well

I wish I could use my vintage suitcase for it; it'd go rather well with the dress.
But I'd rather not risk the damage >)_<

Favourite role……. you know, I would have said Phantom, but I have to say I just loved Anthony as Yuri Zhivago. It struck me that his portrayal showed real development from the young idealistic poet-doctor to a man caught up in enormous turmoil, both physical and emotional. The music in “Doctor Zhivago” just swept me away, and to hear and watch Anthony moving through such a glorious score was simply a real pleasure. He portrayed an engaging romantic, heroic (ok, I admit it, handsome!) character that was very involving from an audience perspective and he has that indefinable quality that allows him to connect with his fellow cast members and the audience. So “YAZ” is it for me now. How I wish the cast recording had not been cancelled, yes, I admit it, I had “pre-ordered”.
My hubby would always say how much he enjoyed Anthony in the Anthony Warlow/Lesley Garrett “Magic of the Music” concert. And the fact that he has managed recently to source a copy of “The Main Event” concert from ebay speaks volumes! He adores the music of “The Secret Garden” and yes, we wish we’d seen Anthony in the role of “Archie”.
Phantom… I’ll always have a soft spot for dear Rob Guest, but that because I grew up watching him on TV in NZ (you had to be there!). I certainly have enormous respect for Michael Crawford for the creation of the character and have seen him in concert and felt so lucky to see him perform and I certainly appreciated Donald Cants talent when he took to the stage as an understudy in the role. However, I would maintain that Anthony was simply the most compelling, involving and vocally glorious Phantom I have seen/heard and I know my better half would say the same. We were fortunate enough to see him when he reprised the role. I ever remember the final scenes where the Phantom is demanding that Christine make her choice. The torture of the Phantom was incredible to watch. A fine actor indeed.
Thank goodness for CDs, DVDs, youtube and itunes! It’s just lovely to hear a voice with such heart singing and interpreting songs from swing to show classics.

I’ll apologies now before I start I might ramble a bit here.
I have mentioned before that when we first saw Anthony as Phantom both my husband and myself said he was the best we had ever seen. This was comparing him with MC when Phantom opened in London and later when Dave Willetts took over. The whole performance was engrossing from beginning to end. When he was completely covered by a cloak with just his voice and THOSE HANDS. I just couldn’t believe the effect it had on me.
When he made his first entrance in DR Zhivago I was pinned to my seat. Later when he sang Now and Edge of Time with Lucy I felt almost uncomfortable as if I were spying on a couple during a very private moment. It’s THOSE HANDS.
I think DR Z is probably my favourite performance,
no Phantom,
no DR Z,
no Phantom.
OH I used to be indecisive now I’m not so sure!!!!!!!
