I've heard that Anthony would be the Phantom of the Opera in Melbourne next summer. What greatnews!! I'd keenly like to see him performing live on stage. I'd like to visit there to see him by all means. I, however, have a disadvantage geographically for getting tickets as I'm living in Japan - toooooo far... But anyway I have to try, and I'd appreciate it so much if any of you advise me what is the best way to get the ticket - as a good sheet as possible, of course - outside of Australia. Thank you so much! If the world tour would be planned including to Japan... but I know it's hopeless...

G'day mhoshiko, welcome to the forum! Of course we're all on the lookout for any recent news concerning the performance and there may be a possibility that the show goes on a world tour; whether Anthony will be part of that particular cast when it does, I don't know, but hope it does and hope he is. For now all we can do is watch and wait ... and envy all the people who have the money to go to Sydney and Melbourne to audition for the Australian Cast ((*oh goodness me, what misery, how dreadful a calamity* ))

G'day mhoshiko,
Phantom of the Opera is being held at the Princess Theatre in Melbourne opening late July. Tickets are available from ticketk (not ticketmaster, which is the usual outlet for theatre tickets in Melbourne).
Thier website is:http://premier.ticketek.com.au/
However, tickets for Phantom of the Opera aren't on sale yet (perhaps next month, if my sources are correct).
If you're looking at getting tickets, the best thing to do would be to register your interest at:http://www.thephantomoftheopera.com.au/
They have several options to select, and they will email you when tickets (and season dates) have been confirmed.
Hope this helps mate,
G.

Haha - helps when you work in the theatre industry in Melbourne and have friends who work for the ticket outlets

Coming back to this site after some interval, I'm shocked at Marie-Cris's interim good-bye and excited with so many Anthony's sound for downloading that I've been longing for for a long time. I've been busy downloading and now writing this, listening to Fledermaus. Thank you soooooo much for the wonderful information about POTO ticket, geldredg and others!!! I could never get such a useful and helpful information if I hadn't signed in this forum. I'm really thankful for that. Looking into the website you kindly introduced me, pre-sale will have already started on Wednesday tomorrow, though I'm not sure if pre-sale is available from outside of Australia... I know tickets are for the show only from July 19 through August 5. It will be a long-running show and traveling all over (?) Australia, won't it? My summer holiday from the company is supposed to be middle of August. I wonder if there will be an announcement later about tickets for middle - end August shows... If not, I'll take anyway extra holidays in early August to travel to Australia - I can never miss this chance! If you have any further information, please keep me informed. Thank you very much indeed!
