Of course, a thread to talk about his participation in Les Mis. Firstly, I've got a question ...
Where the hell is the part where he sings "Let others rise!" ? I haven't got the complete symphonic recording (yet), but I do have the highlights from the International Cast Recording, as well as the 2-disc Original London Cast recording. I've looked through the lyrics of both booklets and I can't find - in ANY copy - a part where an Enjorlas sings "Let others rise" and so forth. Now, is it that such a line only exists on the symphonic recording, or ...
what the hell is going on?

Well, the line is definitely in the show, in the final battle, right before Enjolras jumps up to the top of the barricade, waves the flag and dies. Most of the recordings don't have it because it's not a single song to be included in the album. But as far as I can remember, the Tenth Anniversary in Concert has it too. And maybe some other non-English recordings.
I especially adore Anthony in the final battle, where he sounds so angry and powerful. In the recent productions, most Enjolras' don't sound as powerful as that, and they don't yell the line "IS FREEEE" out of their throat, they just sing it in the plain tone. Anthony's yelling of that line is so precious.

Well I'm listening to my Highlights of the International Cast Recording so maybe there'll be a snippit of the "IS FREE!" line during the battle ... ? *vain hope* Though I am only up to Fatine's death so I'll have to wait a while. EDIT: No, damn, it doesn't. EDIT AGAIN: Gary Morris makes a scary Valjean when singing Bring Him Home How did you hear of it? Were you fortunate enough to see the show?

Of course I've not the fortune to see Anthony in it. And to tell the truth I haven't seen the show live in theatre. It came to a place near where I live years ago, but I didn't get the chance to see it. *Sigh*
But it's definitely in the complete international recording, 'cause it's the whole show. And the Tenth Anniversary Concert has it too, I have seen the DVD.
Damn! My network doesn't allow me to upload things, or I can upload the part for you. Actually it cost me a long time to open this site. Hope the net service will return to normal soon.

The Internet can really suck at times. I've seen a Synphonic recording of Les Miz about in nearly every stores, but because the covers don't explain much about the content I haven't gotten it. I'll pick that up when I can. And continue my search for the full International cast recording and the tenth anniversary one ((I'm making myself confused lol)). They have it on DVD?

You haven't heard of the TAC DVD before? Yes, they filmed the concert and released a DVD. It can easily be found on amazon or other sites, I believe, 'cause it's very popular. Many fans I know got to know the show through it.
Here's from the libretto of Les mis:
Do you have the libretto? Leave a email and I could send a text to you.

I used to know of a wonderful little libretto site that had almost everything - then Andrew Lloyd Webber started withdrawing his works from the site, so then it had nearly everything. I have the lyrics from the London Cast and the highlights from the International cast. I do have other librettos, though, like The Scarlet Pimpernel and Phantom of the Opera ((and Rocky Horror, lol)) *goes to send e-mail*

True; Michael Ball, who played Marius, sang it in the production Warlow was in. However, Warlow merely did a cover of it on his albums; perhaps he liked the song and wanted to give it a bash. I mean, on his On the Boards album he also sang Stars, which was for Javert - Philip Quast - and not Enjorlas.

It's not official yet so I can't. There's a few things in there that are causing arguments so until we've got an official program I can't show anything.

Mmm, it was discussed last year when Mariner theatres did a press release supposedly detailing which shows were coming from July of 07- the list started with Phantom, until Feb 09 I think- it included Les Mis, Evita, Wicked, Spamalot (which is currently playing in a NON Mariner theatre, explain that!) and few others- Man of La Mancha was mentioned as well, but nothing on the list was confirmed, so it could all just be hopeful speculation...
And woot! Thanks to a gift voucher from my uncle I got the Complete Symphonic Les Mis from JB- at $52 damn! It's fantastic! On a sad note, the JB music DVD woman said that 'The Main Event' DVD isn't being released any more, so they can't even order it in- NOOOOOO! (Then again, she could be lying, because thats what people in Ballarat DO lol)

Try this link girls. The Main Event I managed to get one from these people a couple of months ago after spending ages looking for it on-line and ordering it from heaps of on-line retailers to be told that it was now a deleted item. Not sure how many they still have but if you get in quick you might stand a chance!! I think they are based near Tullamarine and you can pick up from their warehouse but you must order online. I was so excited when my DVD arrived as I had had so many disappointments from the big stores (Sanity, JB, etc etc). I watched it straight away. Had the CD already but the DVD is twice as long!!! Took me right back to the concert which was just the best night out!
