Found this link today. As usual, Warlow is considered the world's best Enjolras (or Lingerie LOL) What do you think about his opinions on the others? London V Broadway OCR

MWUA HA HA!!! QUAST AND WARLOW OUT ON TOP!!
I'm surprised he didn't mention Barry James; I like him as Thenardier, more than Alun Armstrong

Nah, I love Alun Armstrong! Did you know he is in the BBC series "New Tricks" with Dennis Waterman and James Bolam playing Brian Lane, an old detective? It's quite a funny show. Comes and goes on the ABC on Friday or Saturday nights. He is a brilliant actor, and does slimy snaky repulsive so well!

I just think James' voice suited Thenardier. Can't say I've heard of New Tricks, but I'll take a browse through the TV guide.

Don't think it's on at the moment. Sure to be repeated though. Usually on 7.30 on Friday or Saturday ABC when it's on.

im just listening to the complete symphonic resording of les mis, and my musical-theatre brother was talking about an aussie production and how Ant should be Jean Valjean. what do you reckon?

I'd kill to see him as Jean Valjean, or Javert. I'm a big fan of Les Mis. I used to think his voice suits Javert more, but it's more interesting and worthy for him to try Valjean now.

I agree Belle. I think he would be a spectacular Valjean. Moreso now than ever before in his life. He has the maturity and emotional depth to do it like no-one ever has before.

I don't know if I could decide between Quavert and Warvert.
((that was so ... so bad))

Well, you get a lot more of Jean Valjean for your money, but the dogmatic and emotionally and morally conflicted Javert could be wonderful. To see Anthony play Javert as his perception of the world is dismantled would be quite something. I'd love to see him do Stars live.

Was just watching you tube clips of Les Mis. 17 Valjeans is quite stirring, all these very distinguished men...well, except the Iron Chef. .....and then, up popped Rob Guest......he actually scared me. Click

Okay, I confess; I have never, ever, heard Rob Guest. Nor done any research on him to see what he looks like and so forth. Colm Wilkinson nearly destroyed all chances of me ever liking Les Mis but thankfully the CSR cleared that right up XD But I am cautious to avoid Guest, but is isn't it time to hear what everyone else hears?
To click or not to click?

I have to admit, I had no idea that guy could sing! Actually, I kinda just assumed that he lived in kitchen stadium...

That's the concert I was watching that nearly sent me into cardiac arrest when Guest popped up!
Chairman Kaga is made of win. I love Iron Chef.
@ Mar: Guest is even worse than Wilkinson. You should hear him slaughter Music of the Night. I'd almost be so bold as to venture that Butler sings it better. I genuinely feel sorry for Anthony, what with people confusing him with Guest...

I didn't realise Chairman Kaga could sing so good!! ((I confess to watching The Irion Chef mainly because of him))
Okay ... you're all going to hate me for this, but ... I though Guest was a better singer in that line compared to the bloke from Canada. Wasn't enough Guest to form an opinion, but I'm thinking too much Guest is dangerous grounds.

Just look at his YouTube audio of MotN, the one he's actually legitimately recorded on a CD. He sounds godawful. There's really no excuse for the plodding, mechanical way he delivers his lines if he was in a sound studio.
Instead of seduction, it sounds like he's reading his shopping list! XD

Then again, the more thrilling meeting was on the Wedesday ...
Fine, he's yours tonight; but tomorrow he's mine.

I have to have him first. No good if he's injured. (Or maybe he can be in two places at once. Maybe he's that... good.)

Astral projection? You know I'd never hurt him. Unless he asks for it.
