Well at least I won't be surprised if a Hugh Jackman thread turns up eventually.

Why? Why? Why would you do this Andrew? It's like painting a masterpiece portrait, then deciding 20 years down the track that it needs graffiti over it. He can't possibly need the money. Anyway.. from that same issue of the Daily Mail, what on earth has happened to Sarah Brightman?. And why she would tell anyone (publically) that her marriage to ALW lasted so long (and I quote) "because he was well endowed." Must be an original POTO cast requirement to tell us too much information ;D

*shudders* at LND at Sarah Brightman

The LND concept recording has rocked to the top of my "must buy the second its released" list (no sarcasm either).
And Queen of the Rabid Raccoons? She's always been a little insane.

^ no need for the "a little", she just IS insane.

See, I don't have that much against her, she just seems to hold onto the past. So I just see her as a little insane- people get that way when they realise the best of their careers are behind them. Granted, Repo was the best role I've seen her do in years, but her heyday really was the 80's.

So I'll give poor Sarah some artistic license for being.. eccentric ;D..
..but if I was that rich (and when you read how many albums she's sold, the woman has a bob or ten million), I would have a make-up artist living in my house, or at least very close nearby, so I never ended up looking that.. eccentric.
Gosh that picture of Hugh Jackman is distracting.

Some people take pride in looking eccentric- take Helena Bonham Carter, for instance.
I do on occasion, especially when dressed in steampunk.

Ok, I'm old I've never even heard of steampunk before! .....and the only good thing SB did (bug eyes and all) was The Music of ALW Concert with ANT!

That's very true KB, she obviously inspired quite a lot in ALW (more than we thought even!). I don't have a problem with people dressing up etc any way they like, it's just I look at that picture and I wonder if she knows how sad it seems (to me)? Perhaps it's just my morbid fear of mascara wands hitting my eye... or Huntsman spiders?

Mascara wands are designed to be safely used around eyes- no need for fear there! (Sorry, make up artist in me coming out again)

I'm a difficult case when it comes to make-up; I don't let anyone near me if they want to do things around the eyes. I don't mean to, but I keep flinching and twitching - and all because I got a piece of metal in my eye when I was a kid.

Post by killerbananas on Apr 1, 2009 16:07:12 GMT 9.5
See if they're skilled at make up someone who flinches and twitches is no problem. And they won't get stuff in your eyes if they know anything about what they're doing.

I know, and as much as I'd like to be able to sit still I just can't. I can't even put on eyeliner if someone's watching me.

I'm a bit like Marie-Cris, ran into a metal stake when I was kid, hit my eye and had to have drops in it for months. As a result, I hate things around my eyes and get very twitchy, even when it's me doing the application I've pronged myself so many times with mascara over the years , and as for eyeliner, well I just don't wear it because it ends up all over the place and not where I intended ;D

Actually, eyeliner is about the only thing I can put on. If I try to do any other make-up I look like a fool, but eyeliner works. Usually. And now I've jinxed myself....

Yes, but the livestock here don't care if I wear make-up or not ;D, and if I turned up at work wearing anything on my face other than lipstick, my work colleagues would literally die of shock ;D
A friend from years ago was brilliant with make-up and loved to dress up (she converted one spare bedroom to a wardrobe and the other was for her shoes and accessories!), so I never saw her looking anything other than perfect, in really expensive clothes, and usually in really high heel shoes.
The only exception was the gym. She walked up to me one day and started talking and I was thinking "who is this scruffy midget?" ;D And then I realised it was her, about five inches shorter than "normal" and not wearing any make-up at all. I only recognised her by her voice.
She could put on liquid eyeliner in about 2 seconds flat, I used to sit and watch her put it on in a state of awe.
