When I put on eyeliner I look like a panda. Even if it's only on thinly, I still look like a panda. And it gets into the corner of my eyes as the night wears on and annoys the hell out of me.
Eyeshadow and mascara I can put on fine, and I can clamp my eyelashes too ((I just can't separate them, even with the brush; they're so damn stubborn!)), but eyeliner is the worst. The lot is bad when someone else tries to put it on me.
I had to put in drops too; I hated that. My folks had to hold me down each time. I did get an eyepatch and it would've been nice if it was black and not dull white. I lifted it off once to see if I could peak about and it was like green lights flashing into that eye.

Mental note: Don't get metal in my eye....
Doesn't sound too pleasant.

It's not; but the difference between mine and farm's is that mine was microscopic; it floated into my eye. I was in our end room one day just reading on the bed or something and the next thing I know my eye feels like it's being stabbed. That was back in 199...4? Ish? Early 90s, something like that. It actually put a lot of scars on my iris that only healed at last in 2003.

If your eyeliner runs Mar, its bad. Waterproof pencil is the way to go, and never draw it into the corner- that's what brushes were invented for.
I wear make up everyday. Even if its just mascara. I feel wrong without it. And people who can't do make up confuse me (sorry, I just find it strange).

I only wear make-up for special occasions - and I can't do make-up because I was very much a tomboy until I was about 20. In fact, I probably still would be except being locked in a studio for three years with a bunch of (mostly) female students tainted me somewhat. Now I am somewhat resigned to being female - except I've never learnt how to do make-up. And I look stupid in dresses.
@ Marie-Cris - one of my worst fears is getting hot gold in my eye.... if microscopic is that bad, maybe I need goggles.

. And people who can't do make up confuse me (sorry, I just find it strange). No need to be sorry, i was already pretty sure I was strange ;D Don't get me wrong, I've had make-up applied (we had a make-up artist at work, I was her pet project when she was bored), I have worn foundation, eyeshadow and mascara to job interviews, weddings, dressy events etc, and it did/does make this old face look a lot better - I can totally see the benefits ;D. It's just not something I think about on a day to day basis. I too was a tomboy, and my mum tried so hard to teach me when I was a teenager. I can't explain why I had no interest. I must confess to watching those Sheer Cover ads with Alyssa Milano and thinking "I really should get something like that" but I'm assuming it's rubbish?

I wear eyeliner and lip balm/gloss every day or I feel naked!
Regarding Sheer Cover, I've never tried it so I can't comment but those ads just want to make you buy something. I got sucked into buying Susan Lucci's Youthful Essence which is not bad, if you like dermabrasion.
Mar you don't need eyeliner you could just apply a dark eyeshadow to the top lid at the base of the eyelashes and then use a lighter colour to fill in the rest of the lid up to the socket line and then blend the two toghether(am I making sense because it sounds right in my head or am I waffeling!)

Mine's waterpoof ones that don't run; I don't put it in the crners either, but at the end of the day, there it is. No matter what eyeliner I use, it ends up there.
Eyeshadow's one thing that I can have without eyeliner - on occassion. But unfortunately for things like Carols by Candlelight mum won't let me outof the house without eyeliner. I always use two different shades for eyeliner. There's a really good one I've got where they've matced up colours according to your eye colour. I can't remember the brand, I know it's in Priceline though.

Farmgirl, sheer cover is good, as long as you don't have a wide colouration pallette in your skin. Otherwise you need to use concealers with it, which prevents the goodness of the minerals getting to your skin. The best way to go with mineral foundations- because they don't work for everyone- is go to Target, Big W, Priceline, etc and buy a <$20 one. This way you can cheaply experiment with the shade you need, and whether it gives you the coverage you want.
I use cream foundation but with mineral setting powder, and all mineral powders, from MAC. Cost a fortune, but I went knowing exactly what worked for me and avoided getting ripped off.

Thanks KB! I might try experimenting ... I do have fairly even skin but I think I'd still like to try one before committing myself. Crikey. You're being a very good influence!!! I've heard of MAC!;D) I was my cousin's wedding photographer last year and got shots of her being made up, which was all MAC products in a gorgeous MAC kit bag. The bride liked it, she didn't look anything like her normal self

Yeah MAC is a rather pricey make up brand (my kit- without brushes or case) cost around $700. Add brushes and case and it hit the $1000 mark. (A bit of saving was required there ). But its smart to invest in make up. After all, it goes into your skin, so you don't want it to be cheap chemicals that clog your pores and damage your skin- no-one like premature aging!

Oh I'm flattered. And that's a bit much, calling me slow. When you've had what, 4 bottles of wine tonight?

SHARED! Shared 4 bottles. At least I didn't do anything embarrassing like dancing up and down stairs all over Melbourne.

The correct term is "Alex funny face" thank you very much.
You danced on the stairs of Crown, the stairs of the Regent Theatre, the stairs down to Caboose... Plus some random stairs in Perth. You have a serious problem.

Jess, the moment I saw the phrase, "glutton for punishment," I knew someone would make a less-than-clean comment. Bec, you didn't disappoint.
