^ For a chorale part, yes; my voice isn't ready for any of the leads ((I've only done 7 years' of training, that's not even halfway near enough!))
> Sometimes I hate living in a small red-neck town; if I say "I've met Anthony Warlow", they just blink - or not even, they just stare. It's so frustrating having news and not being able to tell anyone! ((fat chance I'm telling mum or L.A. about the kiss, they'd go ballistic ["YOU WHORE, HOW COULD YOU?!" - "But he's the one that-" - "THAT'S NO EXCUSE!"]))
V Craving anything ATM? ((besides the obvious XD))

^ I'm craving for tomorrow night...in the meantime, I'm craving rolo chocolate
> My whole family is now sick of me recounting the night with Ant (ok, that sounds a little suss) and I'm now telling strangers at work, by bringing him up in every conversation with a customer.... "How are you today?" "Great!" "It's good to see someone so positive!" "Well, I went to Phantom the other night...."
V Do you have any news you wish to shout from the rooftops?

^ Knocked Up (yes I know it was a while ago but don't get much time for that.)
> If you have a hankering for sitting in "the car" you can come and sit in mine. It's black but apart from that pretty similar, same make and model, maybe a year or two older. I got it in the divorce settlement 10 years ago along with the house and sole care and responsibility of the boys and the mental scars. He got all the money and the business. About to sell it to get something smaller and newer (and cheaper to run and service). It is nice to sit in!
V What movie have you watched over and over again and never got tired of???

^ Actual movie-wise ... Fern Gully: The Last Rainforest XD. I confess, my first vocal infatuation was with Hexxus, and it wasn't until I was 15 when Rocky Horror showed on the telly that I figured out who it was ((surprising since I had been hearing him in all sorts of films)). By that time, I confess, I had already begun to dabble in the Warlovian ways; I just had more information on Tim Curry to be infatuated by, as Warlow didn't become my focal vocal idol ((ha)) until I was 17.
Otherwise, it's Die Fledermaus.
> I think I've had just about enough of smoked fish; I've been having it for the past few nights, thank the Goddess there's none left. I'm going to have to scrub extra hard again tonight, though.
V Hate the gunky feeling of bad breath?

> Does you car have the lovely upholstery, Sanderella? If so, I'll just take the seats XD....Or I can steal his *evil laugh*
V Which is better? "On The Boards" Pirate King or "Pirates of Penzance" Pirate King?

^ Gorgeous day. 25 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Just had BBQ leg of lamb for dinner for sons and hangers on.
> Yes my upholstery is lovely. Very nice to sit in. Except for one patch in the back wher sons girlfriend vomited on it on way home from party. Needless to say she didn't stay his girlfriend for long!
V Will Melbourne seem unbearably empty without Phantom?

^ Wicked, it's just so big! (and its coming this year, so its possible XD)
> And i really really wanna see Les Mis, last night when i was getting petition sigs, a whole bunch of people were telling me how great it is....
V Have you heard wicked?

|
Post by Marie-Cris on Jan 17, 2008 20:15:02 GMT 9.5
^ Only from what I've seen on YouTube and via the clips that History of Broadway documentary ((or whatever it was)) on the ABC showed. I'm a bit reluctant to go see it now that I've read the musical synopsis; the book is so much better. But I am intrigued to see how it all pulls off.
> Why do men get all the great parts? I want to play Sir Percival, dammit!!
V Have you heard The Scarlet Pimpernel?

V ever played a guys part?

|
Post by sanderella59 on Jan 17, 2008 20:25:19 GMT 9.5
^ I played "Oliver" in primary school. And then I got lucky cos I stayed a soprano so only did girl parts for the rest of school. Sandy in Grease and Maria in Sound of Music and Mary in JC Superstar. All girls school so altos got the boy parts. Still do. They did Beauty and the Beast last year and I worked backstage. It was brilliant.
>This time in two night's time I will be watching PORN in the Princess Theatre.
V Has anyone heard who they have cast for Wicked yet?

Post by Marie-Cris on Jan 17, 2008 20:26:15 GMT 9.5
^ Sort of. Not on stage but mucking around. Back at uni Caitlin and I would sing songs from Jekyll and Hyde and Phantom of the Opera whilst our other friend Johanna played the piano. She would sing Christine and I would sing Phantom, and Jo would always say that I was rather creepy when I did so because I "sounded just like him" ((eh)). It was a good arrangement; Caitlin didn't know many songs from J&H save It's A Dangerous Game ((which I introduced to her)) and whatever she found for herself, and since she was playing Christine I called Lucy. XD No.
> I'm rambling agaaaaaaaaain!! *yawns* OOH! STARDUST!!
V What time is it?

^ Please to be never mentioning that awful, AWFUL travesty in my hallways again.
> *grumblepoxypieaceofmumbleglitteredshitinashampoofactorygrumble*
V What is the one musical you hate the most?
|
|
|
Post by killerbananas on Jan 17, 2008 23:14:37 GMT 9.5
^ Well I refuse to aknowledge that travesty as a musical, so I won't say it....I don't think there's a musical I hate. There's a few I'm not fond of, such as (on occasion) Annie and Oliver- I think it's the annoying "multi-talented incredible broadway kid" thing....or I'm jealous....
> As a note to Sandra's earlier question- Melbourne will be intorably lonely (hehe War of the Worlds), quiet and desolate....but, Wicked's on it's way! Hoodies here we come! I'll wear my Phantom t-shirt under it, so Phantom's closer to my heart and I'm not cheating on it by wearing merch from another show....
V Do you think Guys & Dolls (the one coming) has been cast well?
|

|
Post by lauren on Jan 18, 2008 20:25:03 GMT 9.5
^ i barely remember who's in it at the moment, my brian isnt working... Marina Prior's in it tho...
> hey bec what if they have wicked shirts? lol. and i hate high school musical and i hated seeing it on stage *throws up*
V would you ever go see the stage show of high school musical?
|
|
|
Post by gizelmo on Jan 18, 2008 20:41:21 GMT 9.5
^ Don't think I'd ever pay to see that, but even if it were to be free of charge, I probably wouldn't bother....
> That reminds me, must get Gregory Maguire's and read it before I go to see the show...(Wicked that is).
V Has anyone read the book yet?
|
|
|
Post by lauren on Jan 18, 2008 20:51:24 GMT 9.5
^ the book and the sequel! i think im leaning towards liking the musical better tho, possibly because its just that, a musical lol
> theres lotsa good wicked fan fic out there, and lotsa gelphies!
V ever read/written fan fic before

^ I've written a fair bit of the stuff, and am about to post some more!
> Even if they have Wicked shirts, I'm getting a hoodie- to wear over my Glinda dress XD And I love Wicked the novel, but I have to go with Loz and say I enjoy the show more! Another awesome Wicked related book is the Grimmerie....
V Would you spend $80 on a musical related book?
|
|
|
Post by Marie-Cris on Jan 19, 2008 12:15:00 GMT 9.5
^ Depends on the content; like exclusive behind the scenes photos of my favourite performers ...
> Lisa McCune ((whatever)) and Magda Szubanski ((see how wonderfully I can't spell [BTW, my sister met her when she went to her workplace])) are both in Guys and Dolls; I think it's an interesting selection and wouldn't mind seeing how it's pulled off ((we all know who Marina Prior will end up being)). I've also read the Wicked and Son of a Witch ((got them both on discount vouchers at Borders)), and after reading the musical synopsis I prefer the book. Am interested to see how this one's pulled off too, though.
V Has it rained there recently? ((we just got a shower))

^ All the clouds are moving down over the Otways, and therefore hitting Apollo Bay- they're trying to warn people to stay off the breakwater and the beach is so unpredictable....there was just a rescue- should have seen the crowd of nosy people!
> There are flies everywhere however, due to the insane humidity....I am also in family hell.....
V Ever wanted to kill relatives while on holiday?

> Have you tried fiddling with the resolution buttons? There should be some at the bottom of your monitor, near the monitor's power button; either it's out in the open or it's under a little latch.
