^ Apart from the idiotic Americans who tried to take over the whole beach and ended up getting abused by a group locals and myself (as I was surfing with said locals)- they kept snaking our waves....apart from that there was a swing band that played nearly all the songs from Ant's Back in the Swing tour, a sausage sizzle, free flags left right and centre...it was very patriotic and fun!
> I'm glad to be home....although school starts in 2 days....
V What's your best memory of school?

Post by Marie-Cris on Jan 28, 2008 16:00:57 GMT 9.5
^ Primary: When Mrs. Jacobs started a choir in my Year' 7 after she had heard me sing on a school excursion ((we had stopped off at Junkfood Alley and she took me and a few other girls to Barnacle Bills, where Eternal Flame was playing on the radio)). This led me to meeting Alexa, and the rest is history. High School: I know it's rather mean, but the best times of High School didn't come until Year' 12 when I learned to give my enemies hilarious knicknames and wrote journals and sketched bases of comics about the stupid things they did ((the comics I embellished a bit, but that's comics for you)). Uni: Hanging out at the Backstage Cafe with Caitlin and everyone else, either studying, sleeping on the couches or just chatting.
> That's what happens when you're not specific. XD
V What's on the menu for tonight?

^ Chinese. (No, Ant didn't influence me! I've always loved Asian food.)
> I hate horses. Not as horrific an experience as you guys' but mine refused to obey me, trotted straight into a pool of mud and got stuck. XD
V Regarding cooking: what's your specialty?
Post by Marie-Cris on Jan 28, 2008 19:00:42 GMT 9.5
^ Rice. XD I guess Pansit because every time I made it at school people kept asking me for the recipe, and one guy in particular would near eat the whole lot himself.
> You know, Warlow's purr isn't really that long; barely a second. Even so, that - and the musical / sniffing interlude from Alive - is now on my phone. Considering doing the introduction of Unexpected Song next.
V What's the most interesting ringtone on your phone?
Post by killerbananas on Jan 28, 2008 22:09:39 GMT 9.5
^ Ant's screaming in "The World Has Gone Insane" that you sent me in the alley- thank goodness he didn't walk out then! XD
> I'm still laughing over the purr- thanks Mars!
V Is it possible to meet Ant and not have a single regret of anything you did/ said?
Post by Marie-Cris on Jan 28, 2008 22:58:01 GMT 9.5
^ Only if you know how to keep your composure and your wits about you when you meet him ... or if you weren't Warlovian. XD
> I set the purr on my phone and called it as a test; it's fast and repeats immediately, but I can't stop listening to it.
V What other Ant-themed ringtones would you like?
Post by killerbananas on Jan 29, 2008 14:35:28 GMT 9.5
^ His hysterical "Damn You Curse You" from the 8th of Jan (oh what a night...)
> I could write a list if you'd like Mars XD
V If you could get Ant to say one thing to be a ringtone on your phone, what would you get him to say, and in what sort of voice?
Post by Marie-Cris on Jan 29, 2008 16:30:10 GMT 9.5
^ I haven't quite figured that out yet, but I'm working on it. Something along the basis of "answer your mobile" but more elegant ... and maybe he could sing it in a light tune.
> I hate Summer.
V Favourite season?

^ lol yeah, for some reason he keeps popping into my thoughts as the wizard from wicked...
> I sent of the money order today for my repro ww1 tunic, and im just a tad nervous (never done money order before)
V Best role you think Ant's ever done?
Post by killerbananas on Jan 31, 2008 16:53:52 GMT 9.5
^ Argh, so hard- I'm going to call it a draw between Cervantes/Don Quixote De La Mancha and Erik, both incredible performances (although what isn't?)
> You'll be fine, money orders are good- better than putting credit card details over the net (with the exception of eBay XD )
V What's your favourite song Ant's sung, whether in a show, on CD, live....
Post by lauren on Jan 31, 2008 18:42:42 GMT 9.5
^ damn thats a hard one, i very much love his music of the night, i adore the impossible dream, but theres too many great songs! and then theres jekyll and hyde......argh! *thud*
> that question was worse than mine! im thrown into turmoil! and its not the postal peoples incompetence im afraid of, its my own! i probably sent over $200 to some random.... *shudders*
V would you rather go to an opening night or closing night performance?
Post by Marie-Cris on Jan 31, 2008 19:29:45 GMT 9.5
^ Closing night; I know in the RMS ((our local company)) we tend to be a bit silly on closing nights, but we still give it our all for a really big send-off; for professionals I'm sure they'd like to go out with a bang too, and by closing night they're all comfortable in their roles and know precisely what to do to make it a memorable night. Opening night is performing on training wheels.
> My J&H CD isn't here yet, nor do I know if my letter is making its way up North with thanks to the Princess - or even if it reached the Princess at all! It's two weeks today - no, tomorrow - since I sent off the letter with the photos. It's rather harrowing not knowing. Wish I had placed a tracking device in it.
V Do you watch Family Guy? ((there's a marathon going on in half an hour'; I have to tape it because my folks hate it))

Post by lauren on Feb 1, 2008 15:36:10 GMT 9.5
^ of course i do, funny show with some good musical references XD
>i know what you mean about wishing mail had a tracking device on it, stupid money order
V favourite family guy moment?

Post by Marie-Cris on Feb 1, 2008 15:57:53 GMT 9.5
^ I haven't seen very many episodes and so forth but I do like the "waffles, tasty waffles with syrup" bit. "WAFFLES WAFFLES WAFFLES WAFFLES WAFFLES!" XD
> There's golf on the TV! GOLF! I'm all for playing it but it's such a drag to watch!
v What do you think of the song "Laura"?
Post by lauren on Feb 1, 2008 16:52:47 GMT 9.5
^ it makes me think of a friend named laura, and a childhood friend laura who's friendship resulted in my getting stitches... XD
> WAFFLES BUY WAFFLES!!!!!!! good times! ;D
v know any laura's?
Post by Marie-Cris on Feb 1, 2008 16:56:07 GMT 9.5
^ No, but I know two Laurens; you and one of my friends from High School ((who I actually haven't seen and barely heard from since high school))
> I posted a comment on that hideous vid of Brightman and Banderas singing PotO and I got six negative hits. I'm so disappointed; I was hoping for more.
v Ever comment on YouTube?
Post by lauren on Feb 1, 2008 17:02:12 GMT 9.5
^ yeah a few times, ive lost my account now tho...
> looking for some conflict mars? XD
V ever flamed someone? (youtube, fanfic, other)
Post by Marie-Cris on Feb 1, 2008 17:09:13 GMT 9.5
^ Yes. Sometimes I'm harsh, sometimes I'm not. With the Brightman / Banderas situation, I was just blunt.
> Commenting back to the one response I got ((who said very n00bishly "can u sing better than them?? cuz if u can it wuld be u on that stage")) was a pain though:
*FLASH* letter appears *FLASH* letter appears
v Keeping cool this Summer?

Post by killerbananas on Feb 1, 2008 17:16:43 GMT 9.5
^ Indeed. The weather's been quite mild. It's nice.
> I go all out to defend the honour of Ant on Youtube, sometimes to point of sevre harshness, plus people who adore Hasslehyde make me want to let the Hyde in me out!
V What's the harshest comment you've left on Youtube?
Post by unwinding_fantasy on Feb 1, 2008 18:38:56 GMT 9.5
^ Wouldn't call it flaming but I do tend to mock Hasselhyde. I quote: "The Hoff looks the part but his singing is dismal -- can't hold notes, talks through much of the songs and sometimes he's so out of time I'd be surprised if he was actually listening to the orchestra.
A truly great actor can move as much as they want and still sound decent. Besides, he'd have to be pretty unfit if "hand up, hand down" was enough to render him out of breath..."
> Is Hasselhyde a well-known term or did I create this monster?
V Still on the Hoff: if I were to say the words, "magical butter knife of doom," would you know what I was referring to?
Post by Marie-Cris on Feb 1, 2008 19:27:33 GMT 9.5
^ No, but that's probably because I've avoided Hasslehyde since I saw his hideous clips a year' ago.
> It's probably yours; I don't recall hearing it anywhere else.
v Do you have a cat or a dog? ((my dog is sitting on my foot and paralysing me))
Post by unwinding_fantasy on Feb 1, 2008 19:46:46 GMT 9.5
^ Both. Two dogs, one cat and four birds. My dogs are my sweeties (even though the Jack Russell squeezed through a gap in the fence and wreaked havoc in the neighbours' yard today, the scamp!)
> The knife comes from the scene where he kills Lucy. It's blunt and doesn't even have any blood on it (and neither does her dress, for that matter)! Also, when Jekyll's supposed to be dead you can clearly see Hoff breathing and he completely mangles the Alive reprise and his different roles in Confrontation are distinguished by his hand being raised/lowered, and, and, and...
Ant, see why you must do this for me? No one should be left with Hasselhyde as a lasting impression!
V Are you allergic to anything?
Post by Marie-Cris on Feb 1, 2008 19:52:45 GMT 9.5
^ Oranges. XD Seriously though, ever since I worked at Nippy's I've had hayfever. I didn't have hayfever when we were really far out of town surrounded by various trees ((a lot of which were orange trees)), grasses, flowers and so forth!!
> I think I've only seen him do Confrontation and This is the Moment ((I could be wrong on that last one though)); I don't think my mind can process any more of the Hoff ... particularly after seeing him in the Spongebob Squarepants Movie when it aired a few weeks ago.
v If you could come back as any animal, what would you be?
Post by killerbananas on Feb 2, 2008 10:35:36 GMT 9.5
^ A seal. I adore being in the water, and seals are my favourite animals.
> How popular does a word have to be before being included in the Macquarie? Because we should get working on getting "Hasslehyde" "Tenortone" and all of the Warlovian dictionary in there XD
V How dictionaries and thesaurus' do you own?
Post by lauren on Feb 2, 2008 13:56:13 GMT 9.5
^ how many? one of each (i think!)
> i remember in primary school the teacher asked me to check something in "the shorter oxford dictionary" so i found it, turns out it was this massive book about as thick as my handspan! lol
V Biggest book you've read?
Post by unwinding_fantasy on Feb 2, 2008 14:16:52 GMT 9.5
^ Les Mis. It seemed to waffle on about the Battle of Waterloo for hundreds of pages.
> I remember in primary school we had this really nasty teacher that made us scrub the underside (was gonna type "bottoms" and decided against it!) of tables on the last day of term. Afterward she was standing on a chair, pulling some pictures off the wall and she fell and twisted her ankle. That'll learn 'er! *whip*
V Stupidest thing you've ever done?
Post by lauren on Feb 2, 2008 14:22:46 GMT 9.5
^ oh so many things, (like trusting certain people, grrr) but one of the stupidest and funnest had to be running aorund melb in capes and masks! XD
> That and the multitude of stupid things ive done with my sister or other friends...
V ever played a trick on someone that backfired?
