lol, i can imagine standing in that alley late at night near the stage door, all jumpy (and alone), then i'd hear someone behind me so i'd briskly walk away. Then it'd turn out to have been warlow i fled from!

With my luck my mother and sister would most likely drag me away just before he passes by.

Hi, I'm introducing myself now although I joined a few months ago. As with everyone here I absolutely adore Anthony. I live in WA and went to Melbourne in July just to see him in poto. I promised myself I would get a photo with him and his autograph. I didn't get a photo with him but I did manage to con some backstage guy yo get my program signed yay:) So He wrote me a message on his bio page in the program. I was so excited. We stayed at an appartment that actually backed onto the Princess Theatre, so for the week I stayed I walked pass the Theatre everyday trying to catch a glimpse of him, but sadly no such luck. Anyway about me, what can I say. I am 24 and a Veterinary Nurse, I have 4 cats and 1 bird. 1 older sister and a brother in law. I love operas and I am trying to get my hands on everything Anthony related. So if anyone has new news, articles etc please let me know by emails etc. I would greatly appreciate it. Favourite things..... Purple, yellow and blue. Cats, whales (well just about every animal) camping singing/music golf Chocloate, fruit esp. mangoes and fresh cherries Roses and Aruim lillies Well I'm not sure what else to tell. I hope this has introduced me ok. I really love this site and am glad that there are other ANTHONY fans out there. Cheers Emma

Hey all! I'm guitargirl and I of course LOVE Anthony. I've only known about him for a short time actually... oh no, I feel a story coming on... (feel free to skip this part of the post ) In my music class at school we were asked to vote wether we wnated to see 'Priscilla: Queen of the Desert,' or POTO. Being a stupid, stupid, naive teen that hadn't being properly initiated into true musical theatre, I voted for 'Priscilla.' Don't hate me.. I thought it would be funny... Thank God most of my class had more sense than this poor confused teenager and voted for POTO. My resentment towards these people wasn't helped by the fact that the most annoying girl in class was jumpong around going, " OMG!!! We're going to see Anthony Warlow!!" (Insert high-pitched squeals of joy here.) My first thoughts were, "Well, if she likes this... Andy Warhol (yes I did call him that!) guy so much, he must be really annoying!" So anyway, to cut a long story short, we went to see the Phantom and for half the show I was like, "So is this that Wa- Warlow guy everyone's talking about?" (I didn't realize they would announce it if it wasn't him) The strange thing was, I found out it was Anthony Warlow and the show became twenty-thousand times better! I got home and I was thinking about Ant on and off. When I went to bed, the next morning I woke up and I was infected with the worst case Ant-itis ever! Ah memories... I've never looked back... *dance* Sorry about that, always wanted to share that story with someone... So about me... I'm 16, female, live in lower victoria (I'm tormented every night ny the fact that right now Ant is only an hour away from where I live!), birthday is in June, I'm a Gemini, air sign and a ram/sheep, I'm a very un-Catholic Catholic, I do meditation instead , I'm 5'9"? Around 65kg, brown hair with a touch of blonde, my eyes are "Horse of a different color eyes, no piercings, no tatoos, a couple scars (I'm very clumsy!), I've got one older brother. My fave color is white (I know its not a real color but it is too me! ) Many fave foods: one is chocolate Fave drink: granitas (it reminds me of the Ant/John duet on The Main Event, Grenada) No drugs, just Anthony! Fave animal/bird: eagles and tigers and dolphins! Bands/Singers: alot of solo guitarists, Tommy Emmanuel, I like big band jazz and of course: Ant! Holiday: Anywhere and everywhere! I just love travel but to moutainous areas and rainforests especially. Fave season: Spring or Summer, there's that awesome feeling in the air that's inexplicable, but tangible. (Wow, that's almost poetry... almost) TV show: I like DVDs more. British comedies like: Are You Being Served? Benny Hill and the bit of Monty Python I have seen I have liked. I also like Sienfeld, Mythbusters etc. I can't stand any show with blood, gore or violence, I'm a wimp like that... Flower: Dunno... ones that smell breataking I guess... C.D: Couldn't choose, there's too many! Ideal profession: Working for a while, getting well-off with money then pusuing my dream of working as an orchestra musician in musicals. That's gonna be kinda hard for a rock aspiring-jazz guitarist, but hey! Aim high rght? XD Genre/personality type: Hard to say, crazy, unconventional sense of humor, can be very shy but around those I know I'm the biggest ham ever! My poor family are constantly subjected to my reinactments of POTO with me playing every part!, my terrible singing voice doesn't help but for a girl I've got a lower-than normal voice so I end up doing the Phantom's parts when I'm acting it out. S'all good... *thumbsup* Idols: My many and varied solo guitarists one of which is Tommy Emmanuel, Chet Atkins, also jazz guitarists like Joe Pass, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Frank and Dweezil Zappa and of course: Anthony Warlow. My hobbies are Music, playing guitar, meditating (using Ant as the focus of my meditation), being a major bookworm, excercising, drawing, sometimes composing music and right now I'm really into arranging jazz standards. Special talents: The talent to rant on and on boring everyone on this forum with details of my life...sorry Well, that's me! I've already being browsing around this forum and I love it! I hope I can contribute to the already startling amount of Ant-love that's going around and it'll be cool getting to know you all! Guitargirl *guitar* XD

Welcome guitargirl to the Temple of Antness. The wonderful thing about this temple is that it welcomes all true believers no matter age, sex, race or creed! I hope you enjoy your visits and participate in the general Ant-worship!

"I'm here to see the Andy Warhol concert." "I'm sorry ma'am, Andy Warhol's dead." "Really? I knew he was ill but I had no idea!" I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself. Welcome to Unexpected Song guitargirl! BTW, you're forgiven; we all make mistakes now and again XD Hmm. When I made this place I didn't know it'd come to building temples and shrines ... are we to make a secret handshake ne - OH st. *toast* *ashes slink away*

I'm right there with ya Lauren - i always had to sing with the boys; such is the curse of becoming a genuine alto when you're only 13! I was a loner-freak person, boohoo! A very warm welcome to you guitargirl, and don't worry - i grumbled when i got dragged to Man of La Mancha when i was 16, and i KNEW it was Ant then... oh the shame, the shame.... *hangs head* Oh, and i'm a Gemini too - hurrah!

Thanks for the welcome guys. I'm glad someone else can share my pain Lauren, now we can cry on each others cyber shoulders at the injustice of it all... ... neh, I'm glad there's a fellow Gemini on these boards, I thought maybe I was the only one! I think the only reason I would want to be a soprano would be to sing a duet with Anthony! But first I'd have to learn how to sing... guitargirl

Hey Guitargirl! welcome to the Ant boards! im pretty new as well, as i was only introduced to Ant bcas of Phantom too! Ha! i loved ur story! i remember the first time i went to see Phantom, and fortunately it was Anthony Warlow and i was *thud* blown away *thud* , but it went so quickly, so i weaseled my way into going and seeing it again. anyway i no how u feel living so close to melbourne. i live an hour away as well, in g-long. hey, if u like Monty Python u shuld go see Spamalot in melbourne! ohh i no how u feel, iv got quite a low voice as well so i usually force my younger brother to do Christines parts (his voice having not broken yet) while I get to do the Phantoms! *evil laugh* Mwahahahaa! wel enough ramble from me. hope to see u round the boards! *thumbsup* oh and i agree that would b the only reason id want to be a soprano as well. *mumbles to herself* ohh dream on!

I'm the same guys, i'm the same - to duet with Ant would be the reason for a voice swap, if i could do one. Other than that, sopranos are so common, you sometimes have to stop and think "hey - it's cool that i'm different" (and getting to sing the Phantom parts is always fun!) And guitargirl, from one Gemini to another, this is our "Horoscope for Today" courtesy of Weird Al Yankovic: "Your birthday party will be ruined once again by your explosive flatculence. Your love-life will run into drama when your finance hurls a javolin through your chest" *if you don't know the song, check it out - funny, FUNNY stuff

Guitargirl, I find it amazing how many people call Ant "Andy Warhol" (as in around half of my english lit class, despite my constant ranting on the topic!) I should introduce myself..... My name is Rebecca, the killerbananas thing is taken from an OA box from Don Giovanni which had written on it "2x Killer Bananas". I was brought up to worship Anthony, curtesy of my grandmother, a very big fan. I first saw him on stage this year in Pirates, and have seen Phantom twice, about to go a third (possibly fourth) time- with Lauren. In capes and masks. Shout out! I'm 17 and live close to melbourne, but not close enough to stop it costing a good $40 worth of petrol to get to shows!! I'd kill to be in musical theatre, but I have a rather weird voice, and my singing should be accompanied by earplugs! So I want to be a stage manager, with Opera Aus- even though I have a ulterior motive for being with OA (betcha can't guess!!) So that's pretty much the basics on me, and I have to say that being sent to this forum (once again, by Lauren) was a god send- I don't feel as crazy now!! Can I have some of that awesome cake?

Hehe, thanks for the horoscope update Neh, I haven't really looked at Weird Al before but he sounds hilarious! Hmmm, javelins... I remember in PE class when we were first learning to throw javelins I stepped up to throw mine and it hit me in the back of the head! Thankfully I was hit by the tail end so all I suffered was a nasty bump and a bruised ego, was funny though XD Yeah, singing Phantom parts are fun, more fun than Christine. I suppose we could do a low-voiced impersonation of Christine would be interesting alright... Hey Rebecca, welcome to the boards! (From someone even newer here than yourself) Geez, so much happens when you're away for a couple days in Melbourne, I feel kinda bad for not being more prompt with my replies, it was worth it though! ... Do I get cake? Guitargirl ;D

I hate how Mildura stole OUR idea of Music on the Murray and turned it into Opera on the Lock, and they keep roping in David Hobson and Marina Prior and the most-known celeb we've ever gotten has been Julie Anthony!!!

I think I'll go for a walk.
