I think Aimee deserves a big round of applause; this is one of the biggest reactions, I think, that anyone has ever received upon joining. I mean, four multiple thuds in a row ((if you don't count the fact that a couple of us have fallen twice in one post))!!

Unfortunately I've yet to come across an applauding smilie - or if I have I haven't saved it in my photobucket yet, but *claps* all the same. If I was going to put a custom title on your profile I think it would be *thud* Maker ((or something similar)). XD

well the many a times ive met the man...

not in order cause i cant remember! lol
the first time was at the Magic Flute in melborune i went back stage after seeing inside backstage some girls i new from another AW board and i met him there for the 1st time i remember being gobsmacks and saying my name quietly and i had to repeat it a few times so he could spell it lol,
At Annie i went backstage to the door and he came out, after the show i threw a birthday card into the orchastra and one of the musicians said he'd giv it to Anthony cause i thought i wouldnt see him after the show, well i did! and by then he knew who i was "Ah heres my girl!!" and i got a photo and he met my dad who said "the mans whos cost me a fortune!" causing Anthony to laugh *laugh* and he said thanks for the card and some of his fans sang happy birthdays to him lol so cute and then what i most remember is in 1999 in december Anthony did a ABC radio interview with Guy Noble at the Queen Victoria building in sydney and i went along with my mum and i was walking around the buildning beofre Anthony arrived and i remember walking back to the ABC shop and who did i see walking in with me ??
He saw me cause i was behind him and he looked then kept walking then looked again and stopped and pointed lol cause he new my face and i said "Hi!" lol and he goes "Aimee!!" cause he remembered me from the magic flute and he asked if the other girls( from the board )where here too and i said no and we walked in together.And he did his interview and everything while i snapped many many photos and gazing into his eyes like a lamb lol, and i gave his this Rupert bear i brought for Phoebe and he told me she "loves Rupert! have u heard the soundtrack? its really good" and i wrote him a letter telling him how ive been a fan since i was 4 when i 1st saw phantom and hes a great singer etc and after he read it he smiled and bowed and said thanksu lol . So as he did more of the interview he noticed me flashing my camera off every minute lol and he pulled some faces at me. At the end he asked me how im getting home and all that and blew me a kiss and said see u next time.
So mum and i left and we sat down stairs and had a drink and he walked passed us at the shop and saw and waved "see ya girls!"

Another time, i saw him in the shopping centre and he was reading a magazine and i went up to him and said "hi anthony!" and he looked at me at first like who are u ? then it clicked and and he got the biggest smile on his face and remembered and he put the book down and started talking to me i was with my friend who had just had a baby and i was holding the new bub who was asleep until he heard anthony lol and the baby woke up and and Anthony said "is he yours?" and i said " no this is my best friend Lani the mum" and he was besotted by baby Riley and said how babies have the bluest eyes when they are born and he said the bub was beautiful and asked where was my mum (who always stands back in the background watching lol) and i pointed to mum and he yelled out hello! and waved and we talked for a bit.
Theres so much to remember lol but yes thats just snippits of meeting Mr Warlow To think back in 1990 when isaw phantom i ran straight pass him to get to marina prior to get her signature lol i wasnt interested in Anthony back then until my obsession grew *dance*

I love your little anecdote from your first Phantom viewing - stuff Ant, go for Marina! That's adorable! I would have probably been the same actually, considering i loved Marina's hair as a kid and thought the role of the Phantom was dam scary (my how the ignorant think...)

OMG you lucky, lucky girl! Sorry I just have to join the girls *thud* *thud* *thud* Just goes to prove what a lovely, lovely man he is!

I almost got to meet him before his concert in the Hunter in '06, he came into a shop that my husband and I were in. I was looking around at things and didn't see him. After he had gone my husband say's to me and I quote word for word here:
Brian (stupid husband!): 'Did you see him?'
Me: 'See who?'
Brian: 'Him... the bald guy! The one where gonna see tonight!'
Me: (After I turned blue from lack of air!): 'What??? Anthony Warlow? He was here???' This was all in a very high pitched sort of squeal.
Brian: 'Yeah, him the bald guy!' By this time he was getting an inkling of just how much trouble he was gonna be in for not telling me while Ant was still there! He was looking furtively towards the door, looking for any escape route available! He was a dead man and he new it!!! *whip*

I did eventually speak to him again during that weekend, but I still remind him of his stupidity every now and then and whenever I bring this incident up, he always say's I wouldn't have had the nerve to go up and speak to him. Which is quite possibly true... but I'll never know now will I!

Thanks Mar dearest - i'm sorry to be a pain with my visual needs! And mum, i can hardly blame you for wanting to strangle your hubby; courage or no courage, action or no action - you still needed to KNOW... if only for the air to be entirely sucked out of your lungs and your head to feel light and for you to start giggling loudly for no reason. I mean, that's just logical!
Oh golly... this is bringing back painful memories of the time i was at Fox Studios with the family while Moulin Rouge was being filmed, and we were sitting at a restuant right by the backlot, and Manda and Dad tried told me that while i had been in the shop, Nicole and Ewan has migrated from one soundstage to another in front of them - and for 10 mins i, silly gullible fool i am, believed them and was so very sad! They were cruel to trick me like that - you just don't do that to a musical movie fanatic!

I am very new to the Anthony fandom. I've heard a few songs sang by him, but what really got me, was seeing 'Phantom of the Opera' in Melbourne on Tuesday night. He was simply amazing. My only regret is that they don't have a recording of the Melbourne show available, but I am looking into buying some of Anthony's CDs in the future.

Oh, and before I forget, my name is Vicky, I'm 19 and I live in New Zealand. I'm looking forward to being around this board more often!

They didn't have the OBC recording of Phantom of the opera, but after all the three leads were the same with the OLC. Well, it'll be great if anyone is able to record it, and I think there will be some others who want to do it as well, but I hope you all enjoy the show in the first place.
