I think my bed is comfy enough to spend time on YouTube and watching other clips ;D Hm, Mr. Whippy... I'd be interested to meet him, just because I don't generally get into trouble on message boards... *hides tarnished halo* As for bootlegs... Although I was mostly like this staring at the stage the entire time, I don't recall ever seeing an usher person up in the dress circle except to show people to their seats before the show.

Hi, I'm Theodora "Aurryinne". Aged 21. Singaporean.
I have two serious addictions - The Phantom of the Opera and Clay Aiken.
So you know what direction I'm coming from on the Ant-love...PHANTOM! ^^;
I love his Phantom. Love, love, love, love, love. <3 And I'm impatiently awaiting this year's bootlegs...*wriggle*

Hi - I'm Bonnie, in my 30's, from Melbourne and haven't posted here before but have been lurking around for a while with finding the lastest Phantom news links out there have lead be to here. I first saw and heard Anthony back in the late '80's in Les Mis, and have since seen him in numerous things over the years with my love of muscials but wouldn't call myself a fan as such, just an admirer of his talent. I am however a big Phantom phanatic having seen the show in 4 different countries with 11 different men behind the mask live on stage and various other versions as well if you know what I mean. Don't trash me but of those actors I've seen in the role live onstage Anthony's 1990/91 version was my least favorite (due to one of his performances I saw where I wanted to congratulate Christine for going off with Raoul) and the fact I've always favoured more mature Phantoms. So it is with delight that Anthony is both my favorite and least favorite live stage Phantom I've seen. I love his 2007 interpretation and IMHO he has now grown into the role and the voice is better then ever. Living in the vacinity of the city making the most of it while Phantom is in residence - averaging seeing a performance a week. The whole cast and production fabulous. Which comes to yesterday - saw the mattinee yesterday then went and saw OzShowbiz Cares/Equity Fights Aid concert Hats Off 2007 in St Kilda - the finale was the Cast of Phantom with Anthony singing One Day More from Les Mis. It was fabulous to see him do the Enjolras part again in this number with the rest of the Phantom cast. And certainly strange for the bows - Phantom mattinee I was up in the Gods in the last row with the cast all in costume, 5 hours later same cast as themselves and I was in the front row - close up to see their faces - just felt so strange in the space of 5 hours the change but the same people. Great variety concert anyway - did anyone else from Melbourne area go? Bonnie

WELCOME TO UNEXPECTED SONG BONNIE! Good to hear from one of our lurkers.
There were good and bad points to Warlow's first rendition of Phantom; no, I never saw it, being Fire Tiger myself, but I've heard it *inconspicuous wink*. Some of the techniques he used back then were quite good, I thought, but on the whole you could still hear his youthful tones which naturally cast the great contradiction over the role.
...
*tries to remember the point*
Umm ... ignore me, my mind has turned to mush. Welcome aboard Bonnie; and Greg went to that, so if manages to pull himself away from work for a moment to get back on here you two can compare notes. Again, welcome aboard. *steps into the closest to lie down for a while*

Thankyou all for the welcome.........since you asked......a random thought from yesterdays performance......just what does Anthony think about whilst sitting in the angel during All I ask of You being sung on stage? Throughtout the song I had the binochulars foccused on the angel the whole time as I had some good backlight behind it this time and had a perfect sillhouette of the fedora. I just wonder how good a view he has of the audience up there, anyway throughtout the song his hat didn't stay still at any one time for very long, sometimes looking down and other times appearing to look straight ahead ........really did make me think of the act three Ballet dancers phantom silouhette. Obviously you could only see his hat if you knew what you where looking at, same as in Wishing you are Somehow here again ........if you know where to focus you can see the phantom's staff to the side of the cross throughout Christine's solo.

A big WELCOME to Theodora and Bonnie!! Happy to see more newbies and lurkers come up and introduce themselves. One performance per week...WOW!! You're really an insane Phanatic. XD My, am I envious of you! No, I'm struggling not to be envious again. And...Anthony doing the Enjolras part again? !!!!!! I wish I could see or hear it, though it's only several lines in a song! ( I'm not green...I'm not...*trying to pull myself together* *thud* ) Well, as to his first phantom, I think it's a pure matter of personal preference, and phans often have completely opposite views towards one performer. I never saw him live on stage in his first run, and I'd admit that he was audibly a bit too young and dashy to play the role with much dark life experience. However among those phantoms I've heard he is audibly one of the best on my list. yeah I'm positively partial to him.

Bonnie That's interesting! I never noticed the angel during AIAOY when I saw Phantom in theatre the first time (also the last time). Don't know if it's comfortable settling high on there. My boring guess is that, he just couldn't stay still like a statue in that angel, and maybe he was just watching the audience watching the show, trying to find something interesting to look at, and waiting for the notice of his part. Perhaps someone could bring up this question if he or she gets to meet him at the stage door. BTW, anyone's met him at the stage door yet?

Mine does, and without that this forum would never exist.

Thanks for the shout out, Mar. Actually, the Singapore Phantom was Brad Little. Who...was the type of Phantom that insistently causes me to want to congratulate Christine for running off with Raoul. *G* Oh Brad Little was also the phantom I saw, but of course he was the phantom for the whole Asian tour. Actually I thought he was pretty good but I can hardly remember how was him on stage now. He had a darker baritone voice and sometimes he could go more monster-like. And the Raoul I saw was Jarrod Carland (also an Aussie) who was really handsome and sweet, so I wasn't too sad that Christine went with Raoul either. And to Neh and Cinta, no pressure really, good luck and have a wonderful time!! *Hugs and cuddles*

I stood outside her majesty's for about an hour... after Phantom, as soon as the curtain went down after the show i took off (lol can u imagine a 5'1 black kid running through the theatre crowd and down those stairs in high heels?) and went right outside i had no idea where the backdoor was but i ran around until i did find it only took 4 mins lol, and i met my mum at the door. An hour, no show, Raoul,Christine,Carlotta,Meg etc all came out- i kick myself not getting Julie Goodwins autograph) and i kept looking in the door and around. Eventually a little girl's mum went in throught the stage door to ask the security guard if Anthony had left he said 'a while ago he left' bugga oh well. Then my mum said he had been sick so he probably wanted to get home etc etc so if you DO meet him lol tell him Aimee 'his little girl' said Hi lol

Join me Mr Whippy! *whip* He'll be intimidating enough to encourage all the cast to stay and chat with us! XD

Good grief, the pressure! THE PRESSURE! But i have already acquired an mp3 player from a friend, and i think Cinta is bringing hers as backup also - so if i can be brave and go about it in a sneaky way, then it will be done. I dread the thought of not doing it for coming back here empty-handed would just be terrifying!
