All right. For those of you who STILL don't know after all this time what the schedule is like - despite illness - here's the routine mapped out for the Phantoms:
Wednesday matinee: Roy Weissensteiner. Saturday matinee: Simon Pryce. Every other show: Anthony Warlow.
((Yeah, just had to quote you.))
So please, PLEASE, if you want to know what night which Phantom should be on, remember this. The only reason it would change would be due to illness, as Anthony's clearly demonstrated these past two weeks.

I got a Google blog alert this morning where someone said he performed the matinee this past Saturday (19th). I hope he doesn't over do it.

Oh gosh. I don't know what to think. He knows his body (quiet!) and its limitations better than anyone else so you'd think he'd be able to pace himself. We should trust his judgement, I know, but I just hope he's not doing this as an apology for that prolonged absence a few weeks back.

I'm fairly certain that he didn't do the Sat. matinee on the 19th. I went to check the board that afternoon and saw Simon's name on it. So it would seen unlikely that Ant performed instead? Also it was mentioned that Anthony did seven shows that week. (and he was very happy that he made it through all seven without wilting! ) That would be all the evening shows (which I've seen) and the Wed matinee. (which I didn't know about! Grrr....) Appearantly it wasn't set in the stones yet whether Anthony will be doing all the wed matinees from now on, so guess we'll have to wait and see.

I think the aforementioned blogger might have got her dates wrong. She said the 19th (Saturday) but then described things that were happening in Sydney on the Sunday which was the 20th.

The show was fantastic as expected. I saw it in November in Victoria and Anthony was amazing. Simon was good but not quite at anthony's level obviously. i think he got better once i stopped trying to compare him to anthony and just enjoyed his portrayal. I preferred John Bowels as Raoul and who ever was Madam Giry in Melbourne crapped all over who ever they have playing it in Sydney.

You must have got the Mme Giry understudy, because I think it was Jackie in Melbourne (correct me if I'm wrong, I did only see it once in Melbourne) and she's still the regular.

Yes. Jackie did the Melbourne season. The only change in the cast is John leaving and Alex joining. Everyone else is the same (except the musos, of course).

A lot of the musicians are different - if you compare Melbourne/Brisbane/Sydney programmes you wil see there are many changes.

OR it could be that you're all so very talented and in demand, that they have to go through you like Neh goes through her chocolate box when in a bad mood!

I saw it on a Sunday a week or two back, and Alexander Lewis was playing the role, (a last minute cast change from Pryce), but when I went to see it just after it opened here on a Sunday, I saw Warlow....

Alex taking over as a last minute replacement from Simon? Hmmm. Well, at least he's getting more experience, and from hearing about him in Sydney he makes a pretty good Phantom. (I know, they ALL do...)

Indeed, it was odd... but I loved it! I got to see Simon yesterday at a Wednesday matinee... I was expecting Roy. Hm never mind it was an interesting show... we also had the Christine alternate, and the Carlotta understudy. And also a lot of technical faults which held the show up for half an hour.

ROY FOR PHANTOM! Nothing against darling Alex, but if/when the tour continues, it would probably be Simon or Roy taking the top job. After all, Alex is primarily Raoul, with the Phantom just another notch on his belt, as it were. ... I heard that

Well, a Simon and Ana combo, might have been a bit odd... Simons a head taller then everyone else It was great though. Wish I could have seen Roy though, apprantley he was really good, but I love my Baritones... Ant, Alex, and Simon

Simon and Ana together are priceless. MotN and PoNR especially as theres a lot of physical interaction. It makes Simon's Phantom even more intimidating than usual.
Yet another reason why I can't watch KoP anymore without killing myself laughing.

I've seen Simon and Ana, and although he towers over her it adds a new dimension to Erik's power over Christine. Having this convo I realised I've seen hardly any combos, only Ant/Ana, Simon/Ana, Ant/Julie.
