^ Maybe we should get them to learn Klingon then? I wonder how MotN would actually go in Klingon....

We all know the words, right? So I'm all for them learning a new language. We can hear still hear the voices, and we know what they're saying, even if we don't understand it... (Did that make sense to anyone else? Came out a bit garbled ) ... Anthony singing POTO in French

Roy, one of the covers for the Phantom, has sung MotN in German- first time listening is a little weird, because obviously it doesn't sit perfectly with the music. Each following listen just makes it sound better!

Roy did a fantastic job with Musik der Nacht, you really should have a listen kiwi. There's a couple of vids on YouTube still up I think ((and while you're there, look up Das Ende Der Legende ))

There's only one way to find out. And it's not like it's the pole fight, or Aubescham(sp?)

Um... I have found a problem, of sorts. (Not in the counting or anything, don't panic ) I was talking to my sister-in-law the other day, and she said that when she came here to sign she couldn't work out how to do it. I know she did it eventually, because I saw her name come up, but she said it took her a few days to work it out. I know when I first came here, I couldn't work it out either. (I don't know if you remember, Marie-Cris - but I ended up emailing you.) It's probably just because neither of us have any previous experience with forums, but I'm starting to wonder if we ever miss out on signatures just because people can't work out how to sign. On the other hand, it's possible that I'm just daft.....

I think I got contacted by an elderly lady once via the US account saying that we were missing out on so many signatures because this is the Internet.
...
If US had an actual office, I wouldn't mind putting up a mailing address, but as it doesn't have one I don't feel comfortable putting up those details for everyone to see. So apart from the e-mails, the other sites and the occasional IRL interactions we have, I don't know what else to do about it.
But yes, there are a lot of people who don't want to or cannot work out how to use sites like this because they don't want to get connected to something they'll never use again - be it a lack of time or otherwise.

It makes sense not wanting to stick mailing details up - I hadn't actually considered that solution. I know the email is there, and should be fairly easy to find... *shrugs* What if there were a very brief explanation of how to do a reply? Or is that silly? Edit: I realise there is an explanation elsewhere, but it took me ages to find that too I'm just not a natural at this whole forum thing.

There is an explanation.
It's in the A Note to Newcomers [PLEASE READ FIRST] announcement and has been for some time; along with how to quote, how to use the spoiler button, how to insert links and images and how to use the PM system.
EDIT: Timing.
But the link has been sitting on the cover of the General board for ages x)_x

I know that. I saw the link and everything - but I just didn't go there for ages. I did read it before the first time I posted though... I think, though, that when I first came here, I just clicked straight on the petition link and didn't look anywhere else. Now I'm getting confused... Probably time to go to bed. I should note that my brain generally stops working at about 8pm, so if anything I'm rambling about doesn't make sense... I'll probably come here tomorrow with a working brain and cringe at myself... oh, well, won't be the first time...

I've tried reading some of the earlier stuff. The first thing I tend to notice is that I wasn't all fan-girly in the beginning. None of that actually happened until Sandy came along. And the things I've been writing since then ... There's one comment about a statue that I think Eb remembers, but apparently that wasn't my worst material. I can't remember what was. Or is.

It's very easy to blame me when I'm in bed catching up on 3 weeks worth of missed sleep, isn't it?

Mar, did the statue comment originate from when we were discussing the fact that the prince in 'The Little Mermaid' is named Eric? And then someone mentioned that Prince Eric had a statue of him presented for his birthday, and so on?

Maybe, I'm not sure. I just remember writing that one particularcomment I made that made Eb choke on her tea. I don't remember the other parts of the conversation.

Yes, it was a statue and the fact that the statue falls on Ariel (sp?) and the statue is made of rock and rock is hard and...
Hmm. Not so bad now that I have gone off the deep end am looking back on it.

Not so bad now that I have gone off the deep end am looking back on it. No it's actually quite tame by your current standards. And the statue doesn't fall on Ariel, she finds it and hordes it becuse she's hopelessly in love with Eric. And now that movie will never be the same...
