Last I checked, reality is something that kind of wins over optimism. I mean, come on guys, this just isn't going to happen. And I'm not alone in this opinion.

Hey, guys, remember, if you want this that badly, you've got to stick it out till the end. If you're that passionate about an Australian Cast Recording/Film, then you need to do everything you can to convince Andrew Lloyd Webber that we should be celebrating not only the original cast, but also other casts that don't get enough recognition, for example Australia's superb Phantom cast.
Anotjher good reason to have a recording and/or a film is that not everyone has the money to go to a theatre and see the show, and even if they do, they may not be seated in a very good position, and therefore it would be helpful for them to be able to watch a film of it, as well as listen to a recording of it.
And let's face it, wouldn't it be fantastic fot people to be able to experience Phantom in all its glory, on the stage, over and over again? Sure, some may be happy to settle for just the movie, and that's okay. I've seen the movie and thoroughly enjoyed it. (Stop bashing Gerry Butler, for heaven's sake; although he's not the best singer on the planet, his acting was fantastic) But ALW himself has said that the movie is a completely different kettle of fish from the stage show, and everyone should be able to experience it in all its glory.
I, for one believe that Anthony Warlow's performance outstrips Michael Crawford's by miles, vocally, physically and emotionally, as well as Ana Marina, Alexander Lewis and the rest of the cast being AMAZING. This is why I'm going to show my support for this cause by adding my signature:
J. Paterson
Don't give up guys, just because ALW wants to let London keep all the glory.

Don't know if this is still up and running - but if it is, please add my name to the petition.
Jeni Robinson - 2519
I'm sure I'm with everyone else here - no one does The Phantom like Anthony...
