*to add to Bec's highlight - the extravagence of Derek's skeleton reveal and the exubrance of our reaction at LSS. They were milking our hyper state all night and we were all loving it! Props to John for working so hard to get musicals that arent widely known to Aussie audiences out and about in any way he can. From what i've read and heard, Piazza isnt the first or last he plans to showcase, even if it can only be in concert form. *posters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!* We all have to make diligent efforts to hijack Derek at LADS - coz have any of us had a convo with him yet? He tends to be gone before you can blink He seems to love may ...she has spoken with him a couple of times.

Are you sure May doesn't just glomp him before he can sneak off?

Are you sure May doesn't just glomp him before he can sneak off? Or we were possibly too distracted with a running stage door commentary

Jumping to say I love these guys, I always saw them at the stage door in Melbourne and Sydney( but I kinda had my radar set to Ant, funny only when I switched that thing off did I actually meet him) Anyhoo John always smiled and nodded and with Derek it was like "is it him?" because I think he looks different from the show. ..and I loves the beginning of Act 2

Nik, i so wanted to be at that darn concert - it was LitP centered and i can't believe i missed it. Whenever i think of it, i get rather melancholy....
John's cd has a nice selection; great Sondheim choices

As glad as I am to see something for these guys, this might be a bit tricky when completing the archive. Yes, they're a brilliant pair, but of course they have their individual achievements, so wouldn't it be fair for them to have threads of their own like everyone else? Unless they're a two-part band and I didn't know about it?

I think that might work. When I connect the thread to the big archive I suppose I'll just have to double the link.
I'm rather worried about the Philip Quast thread as it looks like that member might not be coming back. Two posts on Quast and that was it.

Bonnie's seen it overseas, as well as here in Aus.( After this next week - 70 times for the current tour and 95 in the world .......will make triple figures two shows before LPS (Counting NZ - 22 times overseas) On topic .........Derek and John trivia for those unaware, together with Anthony - they are the only cast members in the current tour that also appeared in the Original Aussie production back in 1990. John that time played the other manager Andre and Derek was Monsier Reyer. Bonnie

It's so hard to imagine the two of them in the show but not together....

I know it's been mentioned on here somewhere before, but I'm pretty sure it's somewhere else too.

I wonder if eventually, with any continued commercial luck over the decades, we'll have someone with a Phantom history to compare with George Lee Andrews; he's got 22 years under his belt! *i'm pretty sure*
