Firstly, ignore the date of the first post; yes I did make it back then, but on a concealed board and only so I could properly prepare everything before moving it into the Celebrations board.
This is a little something I came up with when I was mucking around with my audio tracks. I have selected 12 tracks, 6 of which are Warlow's and 6 of which ... aren't ... and put them all into reverse. Your task is to identify the tracks and PM me with your answers ((yes you can still talk in this thread, just don't post your answers)).These clips will only remain up for a while, and the answers will be uploaded onto this post at the end of the celebration. I'll let a few weeks pass and then take everything down ...
Ah ha ha ... I effing lied without knowing it.
I've decided to keep the clips up ... forever. After the celebrations I will alter the information to reveal the answers to anyone who looks at it in the future. I had originally intended on posting video responses of the answers but I don't think posting another 12 tracks on black screens - even if the tracks are forward this time - would be a good idea.
Copyright comes to mind.
I could have been extra mean and blended excepts of each into one long track ... but I'm not that cruel.
Nor that smart.
Each track is worth 3 points, with two parts to answer for Ant's ((one being a bonus question)) and three parts to answer for the musicals. Now you don't have to answer all the parts, but it would be good to answer at least one from each track. Of course, answering them all ((and getting them right)) increases your chances of winning.
And what will you win?
Good question ...
To which I now have an answer! YAY!
Prizes will only be given to actual Unexpected Song members; so all you guests playing along at YouTube will only be playing for the fun of it. Considering what the prizes are, I think that's only fair.
The ultimate winner will receive a personalised signature made by unwinding; your choice of picture, colour, text et cetera. Remember not to expect your signatures immediately; graphics take a lot of time after all.
The top three winners, though, will each receive a very special gift pack; contents will be revealed after the Birthday Bash, and rest assured that each item is in excellent condition ...
... and if anyone so much as thinks of selling their pack on eBay I'll ring your neck!
...
Now then ...
Game One: Anthony Warlow
Though I gladly would have uploaded MotN ((or any of the other PotO tracks)) in reverse because of the two year' tour ((and because it sounds rather ... well, it's definitely something)), it was just so OBVIOUS ((particularly since this tour has led us all to know every nook and cranny off by heart!)).
1: Song Title (one point)
BONUS: Musical / Origin (two points)
Here are the clips:
1.1
2.1
3.1
4.1

NOTE: Someone has been posting the answers in the comments, despite the note in the "About This Video" section. Unfortunately I can't seem to find a "block video comments" ((or whatever)) option so I'm just going to have to make a note in the comments under each vid. If you see another comment in there apart from mine, please try to look away before registering what they've said. >)_<
Game Two: Musical Mix
Now these are all tracks from albums that Dorian has on his shelf ((well, shelves; he just keeps on getting them, after all)), so for those of you that have been keeping in good contact with him you'll be able to go through the list of musicals and see if that gives you any hints. Also I tried to pick popular ((or near to it)) tracks from popular ((or near to it)) musicals ((so nothing like Oklahoma! or Chitty Chitty Bang Bang [though it is popular in its own degree, I barely even know it and I OWN the darn thing!])).
1: Song Title (one point)
2: Musical (one point)
3: Artist / Cast (one point)
Here are the clips:
1.2
2.2
3.2
4.2
5.2
6.2

So ... how well do you know your music?
Because there have been a few snags with some of the clips ((definetely 6.2)), I've written up a few hints for some of the trouble ones:
2.1: This is one of the clips that Anthony chose to have played in one of his interviews.
3.1: A screen cap from this clip's video was once in Sandy's signature ((but for those that haven't seen the video, this is a sentimental song that has been performed by other artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra and Chet Baker)).
4.2: This clip comes from the musical about a man and his followers who pretend to be over-the-top fops in the public eye whilst trying to bring down the French Revolution. Other songs from this musical include: You Are My Home, Falcon in the Dive and The Creation of Man.
5.2: The creator of the musical this clip is from is also responsible for Tick Tick ... BOOM!, and who died before he could see the musical where the clip is from. Other songs include Today 4 You, Take Me Or Leave Me and La Boheme.
6.2: The musical this clip stems from is one of Disney's most successful animated films, even though this song was created for the stage version.
