Scuffa, I haven't read anything about this musical except what you have linked above, and to be totally honest - I have never even heard of Zhivago. I remember the film but didn't particularly like it, so probably the musical wouldn't interest me.

The name is familiar, but that's about it. I think I need to do a bit of research into this one before coming to any opinions on it, but thanks for the links scuffa! Just listened to the video, I recognised elements of The Secret Garden in the music, then noticed who wrote the score!

I haven't heard of the full show, but I remember hearing one song from it, which I pretty much liked. It's definitely not a eye-catching show, but maybe Anthony could turn it into a big gem, if it comes true. Who knows? Anyway, I think I'll probably like Lucy Simon's score, as I like the score of The Secret Garden a lot.

I seriously don't give a crap if the show/music is good or bad as long as it's got Anthony in it who cares! I've said it before....I'd pay to see him gargle! XD

My School has caught on to mine, everyone can now recognise Mr Warlow, either by name or sight now and should know a brief history of his life haha

That's the same with me and my work mates. Before I started there no one really knew who he was .... They now know his life history, shows, cd's etc. The joys of introducing new people to this great man.

I know that i'm pathetically out of the loop if my American friend is letting me know of Aus theatre news/happenings, and in this instance it was her that told me .... so um, yes - i am pathetically out of the loop! But nonetheless, excitement all the same. Has anyone begun their theories on who the leading ladies will be? Or am i off-kilter there aswell and they've since been cast? I wouldnt be suprised - i know nothing these days!!!

Anyone else hear rumors about Anthony starring in Annie again? linkI would've thought he'd be fully preoccupied with Zhivago for a while...

I hope it's true! I love Annie, and I would love to see him in it.... and next year we might be able to actually go to shows. I do realise it's a long shot - considering he's supposed to be all set for the long haul with Zhivago. And, as a side point, the photo in that article is lovely.

The photo is lovely, yes. And if we're doing what we seem to be planning on doing, the chances of us getting to more of his shows ...
But then, there is the 9-months-on-Broadway thing to skip around, isn't there? So if he IS going for Annie too then it's either one or the other, or he's doing one first then going to wherever for the second.

A tweet from Showbiz: "showbiztickets Showbiz Box Office Annie will return in 2012 with Anthony Warlow set to reprise his role as Daddy Warburcks. Jane Scali will return... fb.me/z9hwutQg" Hm...still a bit skeptical about the credibility of this news although I'd love to see him in Annie; hope he still makes it to Broadway or the West End with Zhivago too though

That link didn't really lead anywhere... I'm not sure if its just my 'puter, or if there's something trippy going on.
I wish a credible source would come out and say yay or nay. I would love to see him Annie... although, I want to see Annie anyway, so even if he isn't in it, I'll still be making an effort to go see it.

In an interview with Lucy Maunder she said they are currently only scheduled to do Zhivago in Brisbane, nothing further than that as yet. So this might just be true!

For some reason the notion of having dog auditions strikes me as absolutely hilarious.
