I've got one----doesn't everyone? Of course, "he'll" never see this, and it's too bad there's no way to get this idea to his recording managers. Anyway, why don't I just give this a try.
For those of you old enough to remember early days balladeer/swinger, Al Bowlly (one of The Empire's early bigtime crooners), you'll know that he made a ton of appearances and recordings, mostly with British bands. All the old standards were certainly covered. His future was nothing but bright........until WWII came along and a London bombing took him.
At any rate, I propose that Anthony record a tribute to Bowlly, something along the lines of: "Tony to Al." There is a very good 3-CD set of many, many old standards which was put out by Britain's Avid Entertainment/Avid Records. The designation on the 3-disc box is AMBX123. I'm not aware that this is currently on the market, but obviously that company would still have copies available for use by such a known performer as Mr. Warlow. These particular CDs have the best grouping of Bowlly performances in the many I've run across. The orchestrations are reminescient and upbeat. Tony's band would have a blast recreating and playing these old arrangements in their original form.
So, if anybody out there knows of a way to get this idea to our musical genius and/or his management, it would certainly be appreciated by me. Happy listening until that next recording makes its appearance.

I think Anthony doesn't really answer to the nick name "Tony", does he? And you can post about this topic in the section of on the board since this is all about Anthony. Actually we have a similar post here: Click

Welcome to Unexpected Song, philycaz!
I've got to agree on both accounts; Ant's not keen on "Tony", and this should be in On the Boards in the thread windbelle has suggested. I'm going to lock this thread, so could you please repost your post in the designated thread, thanks.
