S'okay, Mazza! We all know that real life gets in the way of everything sometimes, so people drift in and out of here at random intervals. And so awesome that you're going to NYC! How long are you going for? Is it just a quick trip? Edit: Forgot to comment on your links, Windbelle. I had seen the Tony one before, but the Green Room Awards one was actually slightly appalling. The fact that they're disorganised enough that they don't even know who won it a decade ago! Seems a little random, to me. If he's not nominated because he's been in it before... it would be interesting to know if they've always handled the same situation in the same way.

Well getting excited now only one more day and I'll be off to NYC. If anyone has any messages for Anthony send them to me and I'll print them off and pass them in at the stage door. We are going for a week so we will have 5 days in NYC. Trying to see as many shows as possible. I'll let everyone know how things go.

This is not about Annie, but I don't know where to put, so...... Anthony took part in Broadway Backwards (one of the broadway equity's charity concerts) and sang a female solo from Mack&Mabel. Here's the highlights and Anthony has a snippet at the very end. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJ_4bXQQ2fAThe show was given on a Monday evening in palace theatre where Annie is playing (not on Mondays though).

Thought you might like to see this. This is on the outside of the fire exit door of the theatre.

Windbelle, I don't know how I missed your post before, but thanks heaps for the link to the Broadway Backwards thingy! Looks like it must have been an awesome concert. *sigh* And thanks for the photo, Mazza. But... 'destined for stardom'? Isn't he already there?

FYI, Anthony is gonna perform at the New York Pops 30th Anniversary concert. Broadway.com posted a behind-the-scene video featuring Anthony: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tw00meJ-dxk

Seems so! Pity I don't recognise the song he did in the reverse Broadway vid ... and as I'm listening to The Producers, it makes me think it would've been pretty cool if he'd sung When You Got It.

Finally I got to meet Anthony at the stage door. My life is pretty much complete now. Yaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy!!! But very very disappointed he didn't get a Tony nomination. Not a good year for Annie, I guess.

Yeah, I did get his autograph and photos. It's at the stage door after a gala concert. I guess he was trying to leave but didn't get the car first time he came out, and he bumped into us. We were just so fangirlish, and it's kind of a mess, but he was nice enough to sign our programs and take photos with us. I count myself quite lucky. It's a wise decision to go to the concert, coz he never came out of the stage door of Annie.

I'd be interested in getting the DVD to see fully all the other songs too; sometimes I lament about musical songs written for guys ...
And DAAAAMN, gonna have to get that CD someday!
Thanks for the links, windbelle!

I was very lucky to get the ticket to go to the Tony Awards on June 9th. It was a great night, and Anthony was there too, but sadly he didn't perform. Instead, he presented the award of best book of a musical with the girl who played Annie. However, CBS didn't show the whole presenting process on TV, just a snippet later. But the official Tony youtube site posted the video, so you can view it here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6_7V5dqse4He looks just gorgeous!! I still couldn't get over the fact that he was not nominated and nor did he perform.

Hey guys, just so you know that Anthony gave his final performance in Annie last Sunday. I was there and I could tell he was more dynamic than usual. Besides, he tended to have a bit more interaction with the cast, winking and blinking at times. I assume it's his way of saying goodbye to his fellow cast members. And the cast seemed to be more involved too. My friends and I threw bunches of flowers onto the stage at the curtain call, and one of the cast also brought out a flower bouquet to him. He held them all in his hands at the end, looked quite cheerful, and pretended to sniff and sneeze. They told me a few of the little orphans were in tears at the curtain call, but I didn't notice coz all my attention was focused on Anthony. ><
We waited outside the stage door for a while hoping he would come out of the stage door for his final show, but alas he didn't. Well, I shouldn't ask for too much. It was a great night nonetheless.
Now I need some time to get over the fact that he has left broadway. T_T I hope he will come back to broadway in the future, soon.

What a great finale! And not to worry, windbelle; maybe he and Julie Goodwin will do another run on Broadway.
