Me too, windbelle!
And typical, it's starting in Adelaide and we're not living there anymore XD
Ah well. I hope those who attend have a lot of fun. I'll try to save up, but after the disappointing seat placement of the Beechworth concert I don't know if I'll be able to save up two tickets for the close-up seats - or if I can afford seats at all! We'll see, I guess?
So, folks, who's going?

Well, I looked at the Brisbane prices and there was a platinum option which had a meet and greet and photos with Anthony! But at (I think) $450 it was a bit steep. I might see if I can get to Brisbane as that is the only one that would suit me.

Unless it gets sold out super quickly, the Melbourne one is awhile away... we've got some time to save up. Maybe? It might be possible!
The meet and greet thing is cool... but you're right, Inj, it does seem pretty steep! I wonder whether he'd be more relaxed in a situation where he's actually expecting to meet people, or if maybe he'll just act his way through it... I think I prefer to meet him at stage doors!

It's more fun meeting him at the door after having waited for a couple of hours in the freezing cold ...
This is making me think of the red scarf he wore in that picture he had on his website before it got redesigned to ignore the blog he never did and the CDs he never sold ((which he would have if there was the option to buy them in the first place)) ...
Suddenly very tempted to find a red scarf ...
ANYWAY.
There's no way in hell we'd ever be able to afford the meet and greet, and after seeing the pen the VIPs had for Beechworth, I'm still of the mind that I wouldn't be comfortable in a room full of that many strangers that are sipping wine and looking rich, when we all know I'm not so good with the face-to-face talking to anyone, I don't drink and I'm eight lifetimes away from ever being "rich".
So sorry, Warlow; this is one fan you're not getting to shell out a fortune for the opportunity to meet you. At most, this is one fan you'll *possibly* get to shell out a miniscule fortune for the opportunity to see you perform, who will most likely lament not being able to "hang" with you afterwards and will have some tendancies towards finding a stage door and waiting for you in the cold, cold snow despite what we all learnt last time from the experience and despite the slim chance of you coming out to greet us, particularly as you will most likely be tired from all the meet-and-greets.

Well, it's great you got the option to meet him. If it's part of his obligation it might be just like putting on a show for him, in a different way. I'm not saying he'd act through, but he'll definitely be well prepared to meet the public. But if we had been offered such kind of chances on broadway I think I might go for it. At least he occasionally does stage doors in Australia, but he never did this on broadway. The only time I was able to catch him was at the stage door of the carnegie hall after NY Pops 30th Anniversary concert where there's only one door and everyone had to come out of that door to rush to the after party.
Anyway, I'm envious of you who will be able to go. I hope you have fun.

Heard tonight that Anthony is doing a radio interview on ABC tomorrow morning between 6am and 9am. Don't know if it's just on in Adelaide or if it will be on all the local ABC stations. Probably a promotional thing for the concert tour so thought I would put it in this thread.

This is a different interview to the Adelaide one. I wonder if he did one for each local ABC station?

Thank you very much for the link - it's nice to hear about Anthony's current plans from Anthony himself. Pity though they started to expand on his previous roles but somehow the talk ended quite abruptly - I wished they'd keep on talking further :-P (for hours ! ) Oh, yeah, you're right about the "Warlow/Warhol" mix up. I guess, the next thing we see is poor Anthony having to change his name for "Andy" to set things correct

Thanks for the links, guys! I'll have to refrain from anything that looks like video footage as I don't want to see anything in advance.
The time is getting closerrrrr!

Yesterday on Mix102.3 Anthony was challenged to sing Story of My Life and What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction. www.mix1023.com.au/shows/breakfast/listen/pc-14060401I love how he couldn't understand a word they sang (through the phone line), and his baritone and countertenor voices.

Yep Windbelle - that review about critics is great. Although in a way I have to agree with some of what was said - if you don't know the songs that are sung it is a bit hard to know which musical they are from. I have to admit that I haven't heard of some of the songs listed. This was the problem when I went to see Michael Buble last month. He is a great showman and entertainer but probably 70% of the songs he sang I had never heard before. On a different musical subject - Michael Griffiths who was in Jersey Boys for the entire 4 year run was in a cabaret show in Auckland a week or so ago and his reviews were great! I wish I could have gone back to Auckland to see him but with only a week between Michael Buble and Michael Griffiths I just couldn't afford it.

I saw the show in Adelaide and enjoyed every minute. Wish I could see it again!!!! Anthony and Faith are both great performers and they work well together. I asked them to consider recording the show as they are great together. I don't want to spoil anything for people who are going over the next few weeks so I won't comment on particular things. I knew all the songs and shows they came from. Even so hearing new songs sung well is just as entertaining as hearing old ones sung well.

The two Melbourne shows were AWESOME! Fred and I managed to snag front row seats during Act 2 on both nights as for some reason they were left empty, so perfect viewing for us ((Fred thinks it's possible that Warlow may have been surprised that I wasn't at the VIP meet and greet after seeing me in the first row. We can only speculate)). I only caught it briefly out of the corner of my eye, but Fred confirms that Warlow winked at me at the end on Friday. On Saturday he took a glance my way during ... ... he did impersonations.
I don't know if that counts as spoilerage, but just in cases ... If you get front row seats - to anyone that's still going - expect a lot of eye contact and addressing from Faith; it's so wonderful! She'd tell her little stories and look right down at you. Also, can't go without saying that her outfits were fabulous, her personality is fabulous, and her voice? FABULOUS! Before the show on Saturday, during our Melbourne wanderings, we dropped a letter at the stage door for him. There were more contents to this, such as the hashi holder we made for him and a mini sharpie, but there was something else in there that's going to someone who I believe is a member here, so until that's been received I don't want to give it away just yet. I will say that I got it back in the mail yesterday ((I'd included a pre-paid envelope)) and a brief note - but again, more info when the secret's out. Super, super stoked about it all, though ((and he has lovely hand-writing!)). The only thing I do regret is not having enough money to have gotten VIP tickets. Maybe one day we'll be millionaires and we'll be able to do things like that. XD
