I'm just absolutely gob smacked every time when Ant comes up with another impersonation! hes just absolutely hilarious! I've seen him in a few interviews like when he did the "Thank God You're Here!" Shane Bourne impersonation, and i gotta admit it was pretty good! But when he did Jerry Lewis at The Main Event, lol i have to admit I was laughing so hard i cried.  lol but gee hes got a great talent for impersonations, how i wish i culd do that! lol and he also sounded to much like Johnny Depp's, Captain Jack Sparrow when he did PoP but his expressions and likelyness to Captain Jack was what really amazed me. *hides* But anywho, i was thinking we should have a thread dedicated to the amazing impersonation talent of Ant's where can post vid's, audio and just chat about one of Ant's many exceptional abilities! |

I agree, he's a wonderful impersonator. I used to be able to do certain voices before my voice broke ((dude?)), like Lil and Phil off the Rugrats. XD
I can still do Tiffany and Sandy off Daria though ...

Fair point captain - we must be ever cautious.
I adore Ant's impersonations - they were possibly the second best thing at the concert in the vineyards i went to last year; his version of Michael Crawford's Phantom = priceless!!!!
I used to be able to do Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Goofy, Donald (well, sort of) Tweetie Bird, Sylvester the cat etc. Nowdays i can mainly do rough impressions of accents and things. As a kid, i longed to be a voice-over actor for Disney, hehe... oh the dreams of youth....

ohh i havent seen the impersonation he did of michael crawford as phantom. would it be on youtube or dos anyone no wher i can see it?
lol yeahh u gotta love all the classic disney and warner bros. characters. yeah it would be pretty awesome to be a voice-over actor especially when u can see what technology and animation can do these days.

Well he does one Frank impersonation on The Main Event, but the one I was referring to was one he did in ... damn, when was it? It was either An Evening With Anthony Warlow of the Back in the Swing Tour; none of which have any footage ... *cough* The one neh referred to was Under the Stars, I think? There's a promo clip on the Under the Stars website ((I think I posted the link to that site in the VIP Lounge)) but it's just snippets, plus they used Michael Crawford's voice on the slice of Music of the Night at the end  , but it at least there's a brief moment where he's FINALLY wearing a pink feather boa ((mind I still think he should do I Am What I Am wearing a bright pink one XD)). |

This Pink feather boa sounds interesting.....must investigate further.
I must admit watching The Main Event that his Frank Spencer inpersonation had me in stitches, and I couldn't stop randomly thinking about it and laughing, which can get awkward!

What really gets me with his Jack Sparrow impresonation is how spot-on the body language and gestures are - i doubt Johnny Depp could mimick his own creation so well!

Lol yeah when I saw Ant impersonate Jack I was quite impressed! He does a really really really good job! And the facial expressions are just like perfect!!! and even just the sounds he makes and ohh god the hands!! *thud2* although nothings better then the real guy, although Ant comes very damn close!!! |

No, I was thinking something similar to the warning I put up at the end of the News Flasher on the home page. I think if we put an actual MA rating on it people will either be scared or call the authorities.
