Which is your favorite? Among his former five albums, for most people haven't heard the new ones.
I think his solo albums are really a series of art. But still they could be ranked. Here's mine:
On the boards Centre stage Midnight dreaming Back in the swing Face the music
I think Anthony is at his best in musical theatre, though he can do pretty good jazz and classic pop. Although my favourite songs are on Centre Stage, On The Boards is the best IMO.

I *have* Centre Stage, Face the Music and Midnight Dreaming. I've been dying to get "On the Boards" for AGES. Does anyone have it? I would be happy to try and trade some stuff with you.. I have quite a great deal of Anthony stuff, everyone here probably already has it all but if theres anything you don't have of his I will be happy to try and get it for you.. I'm desperate for "On the Boards"!
My favourite is probably Centre Stage although I adore Midnight Dreaming too. His softer style in that is GORGEOUS.

Agree that his softer style is gorgeous. I can't escape from Midnight Dreaming, it is my favourite. I also adore Tenor & Baritone for it sounds more classical and the music is intoxicating. In all his musical collections I love Center Stage best. On the Boards is also wonderful. To windbelle: your favourite song... is it Anthem? I'm just guessing... Well, OK, it's mine...

Yeah, Anthem is like a dream...it's purely beautiful. And the other is Soliloquy.
As for on the boards, my favorite is probably If ever I would leave you. It's a love song from Camelot. The reason I put on the boards at the top is because it contains so many different characters and styles in one album, which I could never get from anyone else.

And we all love him for it ;D
Well as I don't have Midnight Dreaming yet ((I will soon ... when it comes in)) I can't exactly place those in ranks, but On The Boards has been getting a beating; so much so I'm surprised the tracks haven't started to warp yet. It's really hard for me to pick a favourite album or song, but I think the one that emphasises sensuality for me would be Being Alive; this is possibly due to my music-listening methods, whereby I close my eyes, imagine each note as bursts or runs of coloured lights ((each instrument has it's own colour)), have the volume up loud enough so that the vibrations can travel through me via my feet ((I generally do this in the car, so my legs are stretched over the passenger seat and crossed so that at least one foot is close enough to the stereo)), and slowly eat chocolate ((rarely, but when I do ...)).
It's a musical orgasm, basically.

Well in Australia it's usually places like Sanity and The Muses and stuff like that, though I get all mine from Borders, the music and book cafe ((they have that in the US, yes?)) It's the only international store I know of that sells his items. You can also get his DVD performances there, though they're around $30 each down here ((might be different in the US due to the currency ... thing)).
Of course I will still be uploading his albums to share to those who don't already have them, and to those who are curious. However with all my uploads I encourage that you use them as previews until the time comes when you can get your hands on a real copy ((I really hate downloading things unless it's something that's extremely rare for me to get at the time)).

Private Message. At the top of the page on the right it says "Hello [username], you have [#] messages, [#] are new. The text is the link to your inbox. If you're using the default skin then the link doesn't really stand out, as all the text on that skin is white. If you're using Skin 2, though, all the writing is a sort of pinky/purple and all linked texts are white. Unless of course you want a Prime Minister. ;D

Um- I am, not sure where this should be posted- but this is about CD's so yeah. Um did they ever bring out an Australian recording of The Secret Garden, starring Anthony Warlow?

Sort of, yes, but it's impossible to get a hold of these days ((authentically / officially, at least)). It has a few tracks, I don't know all the titles that's on it as I don't have it, but I know they didn't put in A Bit of Earth. Shame.
Anyone who's got this album will be able to explain it more than I can, so I open the floor for them.

As far as I know, there's only a highlights CD of the production. It only has 8 tracks, out of which Anthony sang 4. I think Greg's friend Dorian has it (or at least the audio files of it). Check Dorian's collection list:
The Secret Garden Original Australian Cast Anthony Warlow - Archibald Craven Phillip Quast - Dr. Craven Marina Prior - Lily
* Winter's On the Wing * Race You to the Top of the Morning * Lily's Eyes * Wick * Come To My Garden * Hold O * Where in teh World * How Could I Ever Know
It's such a shame they didn't make a complete CD!!

I know I have this CD around at home somewhere, and the program with Anthony and Marina's autographs. Will look around for it.
This was the show where I got hooked on Anthony. . . I saw it 3 times!

I have all of Anthony's CDs and always have several in playing positions at any one time. There are at least 4 in the stacker in the car and my choice of CD/track depends on the mood I am in. I absolutely love them all.
Having said that, my absolute all-time favourite CD when in an airplane is "The Snow Goose". I just love it. There is something magical about emotionally removing yourself from the crowded airline cabin and immersing into the grey of Wiccodroth (?sp).
I only seem to fly these days when I am attending an interstate theatre show, so am always in a musical mood anyway. Needless to say, I have received many odd looks as I giggle my way through the Goose walking number and wipe back tears at the end of the story. The music is a transport medium and Anthony's eloquence turns a child's story into emotional magic.
It's a CD that demands your full attention and does not allow for life's little distractions. Make a hot drink, isolate yourself for an hour or so, and travel to the English south-east coast in the 1930s.
Yep, while in an airplane, for me it's gotta be "The Snow Goose"! It's one CD that I always make sure I fly with.
Cheers MuLo

I agree with you about Snow Goose muLo. It is majestic. My Mum was given the 1946 illustrated edition of this book when she was a young girl and she used to read it to me as a child so it has been part of me my whole life. Paul Gallico's words are just magic. Had the good chance to spend some time in the Essex marshlands when I first visited the UK in 1984 and I just kept picturing Fritha and Phillip everywhere I went. Having my favourite story read to me by my favourite man is unparalleled joy.

I managed to find a second-hand copy of it in a pile of books I was shifting through when there was a massive book sale held in our town hall. Got it for 20c ((that, and the children's drawing cover version of To Kill a Mockingbird)). It's got a photo of a grown-up Fritha holding the snow goose on the cover but it's got penned illustrations inside.
I cry every time I listen to the CD. I did not, however, cry when I listened to Rose what's-her-face did a cover of it with the LSO ((I can't remember her name!!! gack!!)). She had no life in her voice whatsoever.
lol "Beware the savage jaws / Of 1984 ... " XD
