Just on the Furby thing.....is it only me that thinks Furby's are simply a mogwai (Gremlins) in poor disguise?

We just went from Killer Elmos to Billy Thorpe to Furbies and Mogwais ...
Don't you just love the way our minds work?
Anyway, yes. I was always confused as a kid because I had seen Gremlins ((all of them, I think; and I remember being horrified at the Phantom / Christine scene)) first, and then I saw these ads for furbies ... always wondered why they would be trying to sell off those suckers. I only just recently cleared that matter up.

I remember Furbies in primary school...scary things- they reminded me of Gremlins, which was the first movie to freak me out (I was about 5 at the time!)

I'm still shocked at how I explained LSS and my mother went "sure- if you pay"....she's been confusing me lately by agreeing with me alot....

That's worrying! My mother disagrees with me, just on principle!! In fact I don't think she has ever thought I was right, about anything, ever.

I'm suspicious- either she's going to suddenly go back into "argue about anything" mood, or Lauren's theory of letting her win occasionally is working... hopefully its the latter!

Speaking of suspicious, I think my folks are of me - or at least, dad is. When dad came home the other day he handed me the Fringe Festival magazine and said: "I got it because it's got a music section" *points out* "and a theatre section." *points out* The Fringe normally doesn't catch my attention - save last year' when I missed Philip Quast's workshop by 20 minutes *swear* So I guess my dad thinks I'm missing the theatre so much that he wants me to go to the city (( )) and see something, and perhaps I won't be tempted to want to see Phantom again ((the latter is my own guess; I haven't even brought it up though)), or ... I don't know. He's never done anything like this before, so I'm rather suspicious that he might be suspicious ... Welcome to the asylum, please take a number and a seat.
