The evidence here would tend to suggest Anthony is slightly shorter than Alex, perhaps an inch or so in it, and from my own observations (when they walked past me in the street and I dared to look for just a second before an attack of shyness crippled me ;D) I think I would put Anthony at about 6 foot or slightly taller, and Alex at about 6 foot 2 inches (or so). Well, approximately ;D I'm 5 foot 9 and Anthony (sorry Alex, I only found out it was you after the event) was slightly taller than me, but in this particular instance as soon as I saw Anthony I dropped my head and scurried away so I might be a bit out, it's hard to tell when you're scurrying ;D

Although Ant does look like he is curving down towards Ana! I came up to Ant's chin in high heels and I'm 5 foot 2 inches.

Hmm, it definitely does look like it in that photo, farmgirl! Not sure why Ant looks taller next to me than Alex... ...although it's entirely possible that I was in the process of dissolving into the floor when that photo with Ant was taken, hence the apparent height differences.. Ahh then again, when you're short, tall people just look...tall. A few inches difference in height from down here doesn't look much different ;D

Actually, when you try to find a height comparison of Anthony and Alex, it is actually something he (Ant) does in almost every single photo (he leans slightly towards Ana or in some he must be actually bending his knees to be nearer her height. How lucky can one woman be?). However, somewhere I found an image of the three of them (I can't find it now I want it, of course), where all three are standing properly and Alex is definitely slightly taller. (Gasp , or maybe it's his hair, which would make it an unfair advantage!!). Now, while I don't normally remember details of photos in this much.. detail.. I remember that particular photo because Ana is wearing very high heels (sigh, gorgeous shoes, wish I had feet tiny enough and a sense of balance to keep me upright wearing them) and is holding a totally gorgeous clutch purse (I love accessories, can you tell? ;D)... and still she barely makes it to about their chins. She must be teeny-tiny when you're standing next to her (well, galumphing me would be anyway!).

I *think* Ana is my height, which sadly is teeny-tiny, but she makes it look so very good! And all i know is that Alex towers over me... so in order to smile right into his lovely face, i must endure neck pain

Yay, so it's not just me! I'm also in the same height range ;D It was so sad in the GP practice when I had to measure heights and weights and I couldn't see over the patient's heads to read the height marking coz everyone was too tall The worst part was probably having to stand on a stool to look down someones throat... Yes...it has it's down sides hah...But other than that, teeny-tiny is cool! (as I have established with Ana hehe, short person extraordinaire) @farmgirl - wish I could see those shoes you see the problem with having tiny feet is never finding pretty shoes in your size.

Y... you see the problem with having tiny feet is never finding pretty shoes in your size. I know your pain.. same problem when you have size 11 feet, and then, if you do find some shoes you love and by some miracle they do actually fit, they tend to cost several weeks wages A good friend of mine had tiny feet and would spend hours in children's shoe stores, trying to find work shoes that at least didn't look like a six year old would wear them, it used to drive her insane. I do like being tall (ish) - it's handy to have the longer arms that come with it (for farming duties people!), or if you're searching for other tall people in a crowd ;D However, my family members are either really tall (6'4-6'5) or fairly short (5'3 or less) and being a "middler", it's always a neck compromise, looking down, or looking up.

I was very fortunate seeing Alex, and can't wait to see him perform it more. His voice just BOOMS out in certain areas, that i think, are pivitol....in AIAOY reprise, in the angel, i got a bit teary and in Wandering Child,my all time fav, he just sends shivers up and down my spine. but am in agreeance with mayyox, his final lair is to be seen to be believed...he does something unique with the ring christine hands back....If you can get tickets to a matinee in Adelaide you may catch Alex doin his thing but you may also catch the new guy as well, but hopefully ALEX.

there's always a new guy, i've got his name written down somewhere.....but there has to be more than one alt/understudy, sydney proved that when Ant,Simon AND Roy were all out sick or recouperating from surgery at the same time in the final week and Alex stepped up and performed his debut as the phantom. Some of our lucky lucky friends were there to see it.

Ana is taller than me!

But Mar, i was certain you are a little taller than me....
Hmmmm... new u/s male, eh? New u/s male... Here's hoping that at any largely US populated Adelaide matinee venture, this new u/s male "accidently" has a most sore throat, soley for that one day, and a certain other tall chap with dimples for miles and lovely hair may stand in, for that one day.... now, that's not at all contrived!

Neh, I was in a pair of very painful heels; it felt like I was attempting to go onto pointe all night ((the stairs down to the backstage were a bitch, I could barely keep up with everyone)).

Those stairs are a death trap in heels! Holding onto 2 kids who were running down them makes for an early entry into a grave! But luckily I survived!

Here's a happy thought: No killer stairs at LADS ;D
((At least as fa as I know of ... The better not suddenly install some during the EC's current renovation!))

Just want to say Alex was fantastic in the title role for LPS- I hadn't seen his Phantom before but he won me over very quickly, and his final lair was incredible. Do everything you can to catch him in Adelaide!

It would have to be a pretty major renovation to put stairs where there were no stairs before.

Really looking forward to seeing Alex in that role! Do you get to see his dimples or should I say dimple?

Too busy watching his amazing performance to watch the dimples.
He was really happy after the show to hear how enthusiastic we all were about his performance.

It would have to be a pretty major renovation to put stairs where there were no stairs before. They'd find a way. They just would. There's only one matinee I'd be able to go to, by the looks of it, and that's the Saturday - if only they hadn't dropped the last Wednesday's! Yet I can't book that yet because I still don't know when we're having our MEET-UP *nudge nudge*

I think I might have to join you at that matinee; then somehow meet up with Caitlin, who lives all the way past Elizabeth, get changed and race back with her to the city in time for the -

I'm screwed, aren't I.

Bloody hell! I didn't even think of that until you made that post! >)_<
But seriously, I think I need to have a chat to Caitlin before I can make any decisions on another show attendance ... unless by some miracle I'm able to attend the previous Wednesday's matinee and then run off afterwards to the Scott Theatre for Orpheus in the Underworld ...
