Did some scouting around the theatre last week. If Anthony doesn't appear to leave by Stage Door in Spring St there a couple of options. One is the main backstage exit wher the backstage people go to smoke in Little Bourke St opposite City Limits. The other is a little laneway that leads off Little Bourke St up to some backdoors of the theatre next to Somerset Gordon Heights. He could have a car waiting there and seems logical. Does any one from Melbourne have any local knowledge?

Oh my You're good. And hey, since the main backstage is opposite City Limits, I could wait for him there when I go in Jan. XD six days ...

I reckon the main backstage door sounds like a good possibility. Hope you catch him Marie-Cris.
Hi Phantasy. Are you from Geelong way? The Supercats played in the NBL years ago but now they are part of the ABA which plays over the winter season.
Yes, I love basketball and as a hobby I do basketball statistics. Nerdy hobby but its great if you love watching basketball. I get to sit courtside at the Melbourne Tigers NBL games and do the stats. Also was a volunteer at the Commonwealth Games and the Sydney Olympics basketball competitions so I have a lots of fun through it.

Thanks for the name list, christinedaae! And welcome to Unexpected Song!
I don't think it'd hurt to put your name on the other petition. I don't know if it gets updated or not though and I don't know if they ((whoever they are)) are still continuing with it.

Will do! And I'll also remove cinta's second signing at 181 because although it would be lovely to have that extra signature someone might notice and turn it down due to repeated names ((not trying to offend anyone, we just have to be really careful to get this right)).

It's never too late; oh, that reminds me, is ANYONE going on the 1st of December at all? Remember we're still trying to get this to Sir Webber ((if no one's going I will mail it, I was just thinking this would be quicker)). Here's the content of the letter, not including the addresses, signature, et cetera ((I can still change it if there's anything wrong, but I need to know)) :
To Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber,
I write to you on behalf of Phantom of the Opera fans around the world, and members of Unexpected Song: Celebrating the Life of Anthony Warlow. As a fan of your good self, your talents, and Anthony Warlow, I am compelled to write to inform you of an ongoing online petition to release an Australian Cast Recording and / or filmed stage performance of the current Phantom of the Opera production in Australia.
Whilst I, better known as Marie-Cris, hold no official title in the world of the performing arts save that of an aspiring performer, I, along with the global populace that has thus signed, would love for there to be at least an Australian Cast Recording of Phantom of the Opera, and as Anthony Warlow currently dons the mask here, everyone so far has agreed that he would be the perfect driving force in an Australian Cast Recording. Admittedly, it would be delightful to see an official DVD release of his current performance, and I have heard that there is a contract between Michael Crawford and The Really Useful Group that prevents other casts from releasing cast albums, so if this truly is the case, a filmed release of the current Australian production would suffice. If the petition we have created does succeed in its mission, not only would it mean that more people will be able to see and hear Anthony Warlow in Phantom of the Opera, but they would have the luxury of doing so without paying thousands upon thousands of dollars to fly all the way to Australia – or, at least, to say least one of the major cities that are / will be fortunate enough to host the event – and see the show if but once before rushing back to the airport. As a South Australian rural district citizen, I know well enough how difficult it is to gather the funding to attend performances the likes of that a lot of city-dwellers can afford to see a few times over, and though I shall be fortunate enough to fly to Melbourne for one night of Phantom of the Opera, you can imagine how disheartening it is for those from other country towns – and, due to lack of financial support for the show, Adelaide – knowing they will never be able to see the show; and, we must not forget, the vast majority of international fans who not only want to see Phantom of the Opera but also Anthony Warlow, as it has oft’ been remarked that he is one of the world’s finest Phantoms.
The idea, of course, is yours to deny or embrace; I could not imagine an Australian Cast Recording and / or a filmed state production ever making it off the ground without your nod of acknowledgement and approval.
Well? Would that be okay? I suppose I waffled a bit in the middle but I wanted to at least fill the page.

Sounds fine Mar. Like you said, a bit wordy in the middle but passionate. One thing though, he is actually Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber (was made a hereditary life peer, Baron Lloyd-Webber of Sydmonton in 1997 - see biograpphy articles on line). When addressing him, this is abbreviated to Lord Andrew. *bows* *bows*

Oh ... *swear*
That's a bit of a mouthful for me, actually; Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber ... I keep saying Lloyd Andrew Lloyd Webber. *thud* Baron Lloyd-Webber or Lord Andrew ... which to use though?
