Seconded; I hope he pulls through, it's such a shock. EDIT: Another article over MSN: Theatre star Rob Guest critically illAnd am I the only one who's getting a black screen when trying to watch that video? I've got the audio running fine but the screen is just black, even for the advertisement before it.

Mine too. But reading the hospital-speak, it doesn't sound very hopeful. I can't believe how shocked I am about the news. The cast must be devastated.

I was just watching the msn news video and when they said he may not make it through the night... it really hit me. Very sad day.
It would have been a very emotional 2 shows for the cast today, a lot of tears.

I can't believe at how shocked and upset I was when I heard the news too. I guess it's because he was my first Phantom. Even though the news reports it as a grim outlook, I believe in hope and miracles. All thoughts, God Blessings and prayers for Rob and his family.

I really don't know what to say. He's a theatre legend down here. For something like this to happen, it's just horrible. Prayers are with Rob and his loved ones. Hope he pulls through.

Hopefully he pulls through and recovers, my thoughts are with Rob and his family.
I saw John Frost on the TV tonight, he was almost in tears, and for the cast to have to go on today was amazing. So shocking and sudden...

www.news.com.au/entertainment/story/0,26278,24434484-10388,00.html Sadly, It appears that Rob hasn't made it through the night.... It's such a sudden and often very distressing way to go. It's lovely that he was with family. Just really frightening to think how quickly this can happen. Rest in Peace Rob and my warmest & heartfelt wishes to all who shared in his life's journey. Em My thoughts were just interrupted by a vision of Anthony singing "Music of the Night" for Rob's service. Such a shame. I can still remember him on our early tv shows such as C'Mon and Happen Inn. He was a guest singer on one of our Dancing With The Stars episodes earlier this year and at the time I thought he looked ill. He only sang one song and was puffing after it and was bright red in the face. My daughter rang me and asked how old he was. I couldn't remember but said he looked as though he was in his late 60's, early 70's. How wrong I was. He was younger than me!

Truly a tragic loss. Such a young age to die. You just never know what life has in store for you, do you? And the older I get, the more determined I am to make every day, week and year count, and do as much as I can, while I can. I think at the end, you only regret lost opportunities, things not done and time not spent with family and friends. In my job, I see very few people at the end regret travelling, laughing and living instead of spending more time at work, or arguing or putting things off.

Poor Rob, RIP, mate. So very sad that I never saw you perform. Bet you're teaching all the angels how to sing and being the best Phantom heaven has seen yet. It's an absolute tragedy for the musical theatre industry. As the wiz and as a Phantom, he will be sorely missed. This is very sad...

[a href=" "] [/a] To the family, friends and colleagues of Rob Guest,
You have my deepest sympathies. It is such a tragedy to be taken so young but in his life he did alot...popstar, shows in vegas, and the theatre for which he was the longest running Phantom in the world...he lived everyday to the fullest.its so sad, he will be sorely missed here and overseas.
