I have to admit, I am rather fond of the *splat* version myself.
That in it's self is rather worrying considering I'm doing a Environmental Science Degree with a Bio Major...

Strangely enough, my sister's kids are being taught the *splat* version at school, instead of the right one.
And I thought it was 'pop in the microwave' and 'splat when you tread on them'....

And he WAS supposed to be Jekyll/Hyde in an Australian Production opposite Delia Hannah, but it fell through due to Arts Australia pulling out their funding, and I was peeved as I had a front row centre seat for opening night . . . . . "Australian Promotional Recording Starring Simon Burke as Jekyll/Hyde, Delia Hannah as Lucy and Terri Crouch as Emma, this CD was recorded to promote the upcoming Australian production, which never materialized, and all unsold copies of the recording were then recalled. This remains the rarest of all the Jekyll & Hyde recordings." Taken from Wikipedia - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jekyll_&_Hyde_(musical)

I missed the show but I saw on Ovation channel tonight that there was a show regarding the Adelaide Caberet Festival and it was hosted by Simon. I love Simon's work and still get bagged by my friends because they know I watch Play School if he is hosting and I don't have any kids. I also have been fortunate to see Simon in a number of live shows including Les Mis, Iolanthe, Anything Goes, High Society and the drama Take Me Out. If you have not seen it, Simon also gives a great performance in the Australian classic film, The Devils Playground though he was only a kid at them time. During the time Simon and Anthony were in Les Mis, they became close friends and Simon was the best man at Anthony and Celia's wedding. Imagine that for a hot looking wedding party.

@ scuffa Ant's wedding sounds like it was really awesome (gorgeous photo) ... erm... i wouldn't be bagging you for watching playschool, but perhaps for knowing the presenter's timetable that well?
I think I have that playschool CD still floating around somewhere... the ning nang nong is practically the soundtrack to my childhood The *splat* in the microwave version made one of my friends wonder what else goes *splat*... resulted in a blue microwave and a two year ban on any textas in their house xD
