LOL!! never even thought about a blue texter in the microwave....all i ever did was explode an egg in there,not recommended, it stinks to high heaven and hard to clean not as hard as blue texter tho!

Scuffa - I loved The Devils Playground - was Simon the boy lead? I have got the video somewhere - must try and find it and watch it again.

That's correct injeanious. Simon was the young lead in the movie. Great performance. I think he even won awards for it and it was his first movie.
Regarding the show on the Adelaide Caberet Festival, I was all excited because I thought it meant Simon was there but I managed to see part of the show and it was actually filmed in 2005. He still belts out a great song though.

Was browsing the middle8 site and found that Simon Burke has just released a new cd! link Looks like an interesting selection of songs. Something to add to the xmas list perhaps  Edit: preview of tracks are available on his website here |

Hmm...that's odd. The links still work fine for me. Maybe just google it. It's his official website, then go to the album section. And the first link was to the middle8 music page.

according to the man in the store i bought the cd (dress circle in London) Simon in in Toronto filling in as Cpt Von Trapp in the sound of Music

Well, I couldn't find my video of The Devils Playground, but when I was in Melbourne managed to pick up a dvd for $19.95 so was pleased with that. Watched it a few days ago and it was just as good as I remembered. If anyone hasn't seen it, I would certainly recommend it.

Stumbled across Simon's twitter page and was pleasantly surprised to find that his background image is of Anthony and himself in Les Mis back in the day. That just made me smile.
