Warped stairs? Not the side stairs that opens onto LB, is it? ((Caitlin and I got lost whilst escaping from Grand Circle and ended up going down there instead of to the front of the theatre)). I didn't think they were that spiralled.
Sandy filled me in a bit, but it's good to hear you both caught up with him!

Well, he didn't come out where I expected him to. It's hard to explain but the wall sort of folded up like a garage door and he was walking down this ramp... staircase... thing. They weren't spiralled but they looked uneven and... strange. Sandy might have a better memory for it than me.
I'll admit I was kinda preoccupied with other... things. XD

No screaming but when he made the pen comment I nearly lost it -- that Photoshopped Sharpie endorsement image was rearing its ugly head. XD

Not sure which thread to post this in, it's partly about the show and partly about our meeting so this will do because this is where I am at the moment!!! As Bonnie and Jayko have said, show was sensational, standing ovation for from everyone in the house, flowers for John B and....... the glitter mask. Never have I wanted something so much as that mask. It was stunning. Rapturous applause. The "Damn You, Curse You" was even more intense than last night, PORN was better but Final Lair scene a bit more "restrained" than the night before. Only a couple of hand bangs on the chair but the words were said with more venom. No, on reflection, restrained isn't the right word, there just wasn't quite the same physical energy expended, but the emotional energy was there in bucketloads. And he got the last line right, tonight. XD XD . I was sitting next to two ladies who were concerned before it started that it was going to be a rip-off of the movie. Didn't realise that the movie was of the show they were going to see. We got chatting and it turns out after I shared some inside goss with them about the show and its movements that they thought I was friends with Ant. I didn't put them right (because we're friends now!!!).
Anyways, after the show met up with Unwinding, hung around the stage door and eventually moved to the backstage door in Little Bourke cos figured even if he came out the Stage Door, eventually he'd have to make his way around there to collect his car, if not today then tomorrow!!!! I was determined dear readers not to chicken out of this. There was indeed safety in numbers. The crew started the bumping out process and lifted the whole door up to reveal the loading dock and the stairs from backstage.
A few tense moments later (it must have only been 5 minutes but it seemed like ages), the familiar figure appears carrying a packed bag, dressed in pale blue soft jeans, dark blue shirt, really nice brown casual shoes and a pair of reading glasses tucked into the front of his shirt. What a relief. He needs glasses to read, he's not superhuman after all. I asked him if he had time for a couple of signatures (Yes, I made the first move!!) and he said he'd just dump his things in the boot and he'd be with us, but he'd have to be quick because he had to be in Fitzroy by 6.30 (it was about 6.10ish). I think I said something about being sorry that I was a bit tragic and he said I wasn't but then I said it was my third show for the weekend and he looked at me and winked and said "No sweetheart, you're right, that is tragic!!" We whipped out our silver sharpies (he didn't seem surprised that we carried them with us!!!) and he signed our three programmes (mine, Bonnie's & Unwinding's). I wished I had printed out Lauren and Unwinding's graphics to give him as a souvenir!!!! Then I asked him if he would mind signing one more thing and whipped out my "Face the Music" which had accidentally fallen into my handbag before I left home. Pulled out another Sharpie that I had prepared earlier, this time a black one and I made some stupid comment about it having a fine point "the finest in all the land" which he laughed at. Asked him to sign it to Sandy, he asked me how to spell it and I said you can spell it however you want (how Pretty Woman does that sound!!! AAAAAGGGGHHHH) He then finished it with a "There you go Sweetheart" then he leaped onto his white charger (oops, just digressed to the wrong fantasy) into his car and drove away, leaving us all a little dazed in his wake. It was surreal, nice but surreal (and I think that's from Notting Hill!!!) We talked for about another 10 minutes and then peeled off to hug that special meeting to ourselves for the rest of the night. I wanted to stand in the packed Rod Laver Arena and yell out "I've just met Anthony Warlow. EEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!

"No sweetheart, you're right: that is tragic!" -- Oh, I forgot about that comment! That was funny. XD
I was close to bringing the Sharpie one but... could he legally sign that?

*suddenly feels very ignorant* Isn't Morman that religion that believes the guy who "read tablets out of a hat" should be a saint?
I wonder what tricks Warlow has in his hat. ((Better not be bunnies. I HATE bunnies))

I'll... distract him while you swipe the hat. *cough* XD
That reminds me of our after-Ant conversation. We're dully watching the car pull away and someone's like, "Wonder how he's gonna make it to Fitzroy on time?"
Me: "We don't question Anthony Warlow." Bonnie (I think): "Yeah, he can probably fly!"

Do you know how hard it is to read this thread while on a public computer? I'm pretty sure the staff think I'm insane- and a huge round of applause for all you girls- what an experience! He has glasses? It's good to know he's just as human as the rest of us- and probably has a few speeding tickets like the rest of us (although if I pulled him over it would be for a chat- there's no way I'd book him....might look up his rego details though! XD )

"faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. Yes it's SuperANT, strange visitor from another planet who came to Earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men. SuperANT, who can change the course of mighty musicals, bend fangirls in his bare hands and who, disguised as Anthony Warlow, mild-mannered singer for a great opera company, fights a never ending battle for truth, justice and the Warlovian way!!!" (with apologies to Marvel comics and the 1960's TV version!!!) Ok Unwinding, I have thrown down the gauntlet. see what you can create from this!!!! *giggletantrum* *giggletantrum* *giggletantrum*
