Oh-my-gosh, I'm so excited. I'm seeing Doctor Zhivago in July when it comes to Brisbane. I seriously cannot wait. By the looks, it's going to be spectacular. But of course, anything with Anthony Warlow in it has got to be spectacular!

How many times have you seen it, poppy? I'm super jealous now. I've never seen any show more than once before!

Went to the show again last night, and it was the first time I got to see it up close (from second row). It was great! You get to see so much more emotion and I felt for the characters more than I have previously. Luke fell when he was blindfolding Anthony and I was worried he got hurt... he was limping afterwards.

Wow second row Jess, so far the closest my seat has been Stalls Row O. I witnessed a funny a few shows ago, it was when Gulyobova was taking the bag with the duck in it, off Yurii's shoulder and it got tangled with the the other bag and there was a bit of a tug of war between them, she couldn't stop laughing! I have seen the show 7 & 1/2 times now and with more shows still to come................... I love this show! 2 & 1/2 times with Ant and 5 times with Ant! Hahahahaha! First Ant is Anton ( who is awesome by the way, he got a couple more shows under his belt last Wednesday )! I went a couple of days ago and got understudy-Belinda as Lara! So looking forward to seeing it again and I can't wait for the soundtrack to be released I can't get the songs out of my head!

I was watching Pasha, so only noticed him falling backwards. I think he slipped and the end result was that he fell on his butt, but not from a standing position. If that makes sense... He was bending down to blindfold Anthony and lost his footing.
Poppy, that would have been funny! I have to try to catch up to your score... XD

What's your score so far then, Jess?
I feel uneducated that I don't recognise any of the names or anything. I think I need to do some Zhivago research.

Whatever you do, don't read the book! I hated the character after doing that. XDDDDD
I am only up to 3 and a half... not that good. But for some reason it feels like I have seen it many more times.

3 and a half isn't too bad though! We got the DVD of Zhivago a few weeks ago... obviously the old version .... but haven't gotten around to watching it yet. That might be the job for the weekend. I'm worried that I'm not going to like the story though, (I know that's stupid, as I barely know anything about it!), but nonetheless, it concerns me that I'm going to start watching it and be bored.

And I was contemplating borrowing the book from the library.
((No matter, it's been reserved out for months))
I've been warned that the movie is somewhat confusing, so we'll have to watch it very carefully.

A bloke at work (good ol' Jeff), told me that I'd like it. But then, he isn't the most reliable of sources. He does have a habit of misleading me.... I never quite know if he's serious or not...

The movie is pretty ordinary, in my opinion. We bought a TV movie of it with Sam Neill, Keira Knightley, and Hans Matheson and it was actually a lot better than the old movie. They made Yurii a more sympathetic character. You should try to find yourself a copy or if you are happy to watch online, this person has uploaded it on Youtube: www.youtube.com/user/lucifmello

Well, we'll check out the movie sometimes seeing we've bought it already, but we'll watch the tv movie as well. Thanks for the link! Dodgy as it is, I have no real issues with watching things online. If it's good, it'd probably be added to our mile-long list of DVD's that we have to buy sometime anyway. I like to own things in hard copy.

I took it as a bad sign that after the overture we both decided we needed to do something else, like get a drink or go to the bathroom.
The movie was ... well, I'm not sure. Interesting but at the same time a bit odd. I mean, if that really WAS Lara's daughter, what then? He let her walk off. What was the point in that? I remember he said something like "think about my proposal" or whatever, but I probably missed something because I had no idea what the heck he was trying to do.

As movies go, it was a bit meh. I guess the musical will be minus all the mindlessly boring guff.

The musical is actually much better. They leave quite a bit out, like the brother, and they make the story flow better. Plus the music is beautiful. Plus it has Anthony. XD

Ah, leaving lots out could make it much easier to understand. And I'm glad the story flows better. And Anthony does make everything better.

Hi all, love the show and thanks to LastTix, going to go again on Friday night.
With Poppy and Jess mentioning Luke falling over, thought you would like this extract from his blog on the Doctor Zhivago website.
I HAVE FALLEN FOR ANTHONY WARLOW!!!
There, I've said it. It's out there now and I feel better for it.
I mean it!! I actually fell over on stage with Mr Warlow in my arms. I had a few embarrassing moments over the time but nothing beats this. In case you're wondering my ankle has made a full recovery and Anthony, well luckily he wasn't hurt.
JOSLIN RUINS NATIONAL TREASURE could have been the headline in the next day's AGE Newspaper. Luckily for me it wasn't.
