Could be interesting. We'll have to see how our funds are holding after our ((hopefully)) multiple trips to Annie and at least one trip to see The Magic Flute in puppet form.

Thanks Jayko - you never know, this could be my new Jersey Boys if that makes sense! I can see multiple trips to Australia! I have got the DVD of Beyond The Sea and I always cry when I watch it. I think Kevin Spacey's singing was great. Don't know Hugh Sheridan as I have never seen Packed to the Rafters.

I love Kevin Spacey. He is one of my favourite actors so when I heard he was doing the movie I was super excited! If you come to Melbourne to see if I'd love to come with you! Back on topic... what about some opera songs?

Not keen on opera songs so can't suggest any but what about Smoke Gets in Your Eyes. Not sure what CD that would go on though - perhaps a 50s one?

We could try typical suggestions like Nessun Dorma. *shrug* Personally I'd like to hear soave sia il vento. Considering that I'm very familiar with one of the female parts To be honest, though, I don't know a lot of opera to be able to suggest something for it either. EDIT: I wonder what it would be like if he sang Ghost Riders in the Sky

I did an on-topic post about a jazz CD... Sadly, I know bugger all about opera, so you've got me there!

Oh you did. Sorry hun. For that matter, I don't know much jazz either

I have a terrible suspicion that I don't know much anything.

There is a song i want to suggest for the Jazz cd but I can't remember the name of it. All I can remember is that it is on the Galapagos Duck album Magnum. So if the worst comes to the worst I will have to go into the garage and find the box of my LP's and look at the Magnum cover. But as the box is at the back of the garage with many other boxes in front of it, I will just have to try and remember.

Google it? Surely there's a list somewhere of the songs.

I've googled and googled and googled and can't find anything. This is quite an old album, probably around the late 70s. I wish I had seen the original band at The Basement in Sydney. They are still playing but with new members its not the same.

Nothing is ever as good as the original. Sucks that it's that hard to find. I understand the reluctance to burrow through a pile though. We have a mountain of boxes in the spare room at the moment; if I needed something from a box at the back, I wouldn't bother.

Oh hell no, I'm not digging through that pile at this stage. Not for anything

Yeah... until we get the lounge room under control and I force you to help me start moving the box pile to the lounge room so we can start dismantling furniture in the spare room.

Thought of a rock song that he probably will never do, but since so many covers of it are floating around (yes, this is a little Muppets inspired), how about Smells Like Teen Spirit?

For rock, I would like to hear him do Wanted Dead or Alive.
I need to update the first post...

Updating the first post is always the most annoying job. Does Tribute by Tenacious D count as rock? It would be an interesting one for Warlow to do.

Haha! That would be rather funny.
I have updated but not sure of which songs were the final choices! So I guessed. If any are wrong, let me know.
I am going to pick O Sole Mio for the opera one.

Well, I was tossing up between I'll Make a Man Out of You or Are You a Man or a Muppet?. Judging by the look on Marie-Cris' face when I suggested the Muppet one, you definitely wrote the right option for mine. It all looks right on my side of things!

You guessed right for me too Now I just wish I could think of other songs for the other categories.

I don't know anything about the other categories. It seems I'll have to use YouTube to broaden my horizons.
