I have to pick a country one but I don't really know many country songs. For opera I like the song that Roy did from Tosca too. All the ones I think of though are more for tenors but he would be able to pull it off I think.

I thought of something, but I'm not sure which category it fits into. If it goes under country, I'll happily withdraw Ghost Riders.
American Pie

For rock, I would like to hear him do Wanted Dead or Alive. I need to update the first post... *laughs* That would be interesting! I can totally imagine him toting a glam rock wig. What rock song could I pick...? There are so many. I was going to suggest Can't Take My Eyes Off You but I will have to think harder now.

For a musical theatre CD, of songs he has not done yet obviously, I would like to hear him sing "All I Care About is Love" from Chicago.

What about Time Warp from Rocky Horror. Something a bit different for him to sing.

Fred, the only reason I said I'll have to think about it is because somebody else suggested Can't Take My Eyes Off You already. For a musicals CD, If I Can't Love Her from Beauty and the Beast. I really want to see that show again.

What about Time Warp from Rocky Horror. Something a bit different for him to sing. Now I have images of him doing the pelvic thrust... That would drive us all insane!! In a good way of course! XDDDDD

Ant, ALWAYS makes me feel better! I have a country song but it's more of a love ballad, it's sung by John Denver......It's called For You. I love this song and it was the first song my husband and I danced to at our wedding! This is also one of my dreams to hear Anthony sing it!

John Denver songs are all so good. I love Annie's Song. I think Anthony would sing it so beautifully. Now I'm off.....he sings everything so beautifully.

He could turn around the worst song I think! And now I am imagining him singing things like achy breaky heart...

Tiny Tim? I cannot stand him. I don't think even Ant could save that song after it was slaughtered by TT.
And talking about pelvic thrusts - this is totally off subject but I remember someone here saying that Ant was on Spicks & Specks. I had never seen this show being a NZ'er. So I googled and the one clip that came up was the one where Richard O'Brien was singing Time Warp and then the host ripped off his shirt and he had on a corset. Very interesting!

My money is on "Always on My Mind" - has to be one of the most beautiful songs of all time - and to have him sing it - couldn't think of anyone better - another moment of bliss!
I think that'd be in the 'easy listening' category - sorry Jayko - another category to add!
Agree with you, Poppy - For You is a classic - so sad John Denver is no longer with us.

Oh totally agree with Always on my Mind. Before reading your post though, I would have said 'Angel' by Sarah Mclaughlan. I'd love to hear him sing it.

Good choice with 'Angel' - she sings it beautifully and I'm sure his version would be superb... Wouldn't mind John Denver's 'Annie's Song' either - quite appropriate for his current show as well!
