It gives me goosebumps everytime I sing it. The boy soprano is a tad flat but still lovely. The best version I have heard is by Salisbury Cathedral choir (apart from ours of course!) ABC quite often play their 9 Lessons and Carols around Christmas so watch out for it. They circle the nativity scene and kneel before it as they sing. It is hauntingly beautiful.

It was just announced that though they were programmed to have Anthony Warlow on tonight, he's been struck by laryngitis. Sorry folks. Mark Vincent stepped in where Warlow would have sung, but I'm not sure what song he was going to sing.

Well, I just hope that he's feeling a bit better today, or soon. He goes through quite a lot in a year, it's no wonder that sometimes he feels a bit sore.

I do hope he got over that quickly.... It was rather disappointing, after we sat through all the other, somewhat painful, singing. Well, fingers crossed that he'll try again next year!  |
