Definitely Phantom of the opera or Past The Point of No Return Christine is my dream role and Anthony is the phantom so...nothing more needs to be said.

Night and Day.
...Waitaminute... XD
In all seriousness I'd have to say PotO. Dangerous Game is tempting but to avoid awkward situations I'd probably opt for something less, ah, erotic and more fun. Apart from the fact that I love the song... who wouldn't want to sit in that boat and stare up at him...?
Plus, plus, at the end I'd get to watch him strip off the hat/cloak... *eyes glaze over*

I can't believe all I was if said before was It's a Dangerous Game. I'm definitely adding Point of No Return to my list. Choreography and all.
^ Had to change that; I had no idea I wrote that.
Speaking of combusting, every time I watch Dracula ((which isn't often)) I keep getting this image:
MINA: *walks to the bedside* LUCY: *sickly* "Mina ... " *POOF!*

In a more humerous choice, I'd love to this "This Is The Song That Goes Like This" from Spamalot. I may randomly break into laughter throughout the song, but its something lighthearted- I wouldn't say no to PonR though, as long as there was PORN XD

"Let's stop this damn refrain/Before we go insane..."
I do believe I'd be in tears by this point and wouldn't be able to reap the benefits of having completed the song. XD

I suppose he's allowed to show me up in the singing department if I turn up to LSS in the glitter mask. We'll call that even. XD

Good point. We upstage and possibly throw him off, then he makes us look like fools when he sings....
We should have a theme song to sing....XD

All those low notes are completely out of my range. Why do I have to be such a crap singer does Ant have to be such a fantastic singer? *sigh* This is what living with people who smoke does to you...

That's what annoys me impresses me so much when I try to sing along with Unexpected Song. At the start it is too low fro my range, and then after all the key changes, it finishes up going between my chest voice, which is very comfortable for singing that kind of song, to my head voice which is at the top of my register and becomes "choral". It just doesn't sound right when I do it. The second last verse is the most comfortable for me!!!! *music2*

I find the beginning very comfortable and start going into a high-pitched screech by last verse. Mind I'm not mimicking him, just using my ordinary singing voice, which is naturally higher than a man's.

Listened to Les Mis on the way back from the beach house (brought back very happy memories of being in a production of it about 8 years ago) but I had a thought..... I would like to sing "A Little Fall of Rain" with Ant, because then I'd get to die in his arms at the end and he would sob over my (bullet) ravaged body. Can anyone think of a better way to go??

Reviving this thread...
Definitely Dangerous Game Lucy's role is right in my range. But I'd also love to do something fun and faster paced with him too.

Sandra, I'm definitely with you on "A Little Fall of Rain".... or maybe a Cosette/Marius number, such as "A Heart Full of Love". Oh God, going all Les Mis in the head now!

Reviving this thread again... I'd love to do Totale Finsternis-- imagine a vampire Ant! *goosebumps*-- but since my German goes barely beyond the basics, I'd settle for Total Eclipse of the Heart.
Yes, the Bonnie Tyler one.

Now you've got my mind making strange suggestions like I'm So Excited, Eternal Flame and Playing With My Heart ((not sure if that's the title, it's the Eurythmics one)).

Ant might keel over if someone makes him do pop songs, although he did do a few mild ones in the Main Event. I thought of it because I'm deep into Tanz der Vampire right now. From the clips I saw in You Tube, it's a bit like Dangerous Game, or even PONR. Now my mind's going into Dirty Dancing-- I forgot what's it's called, Time Of My Life? Good thing it's after 10pm.

How many years of classical training has he had? And we're asking him to sing "time of your life"? Poor Ant...

I can't remember if I said it last year' but I would love to do Soave from Cosi Fan Tutte with him; I loved singing that at Music on the Murray ((loved even more that I got top marks for singing Fiordiligi's part as a solo in my Tech. and Repertoire [sp? ] class two days later)) and although Don Alfonso's part isn't so much defined in it ((let's face it, he's being drowned out by Fior and Dora!)) I would love to hear his take on it; and since I know Fior's part for Soave off by heart ... ... we just need a Dorabella.

^ I think there's an audio of your demo (or was that a rehearsal) around here somewhere. Both of your voices would blend fantastically in a Mozart piece. Maybe Sandy can be your Dorabella. I could, but I've spent too much time singing musicals/pop songs (this totally sucks, but it does pay more) to be a decent third with you and Ant. Not without a lot of time and serious vocalization to get back into classical singing form. klh44, for Ant's sake (and for the sake of classical singers everywhere), I will henceforth refrain from mentioning Ant and a pop song in the same sentence But just imagine the dancing...
