I was wondering if this topic should be put in the general board, but it's related to Anthony anyway. ;D So which duet you would love to sing with Anthony if you had the chance? And only one option. For me, it could be: A girl in the valley (The Secret Garden) I'd love to choose How could I ever know from The Secret Garden but I guess my voice is not qualified enough for that song. Those songs he sang with Olivia in The Main Event were also within my consideration but I just love The Secret Garden.

I haven't actually listened to the secret garden audio yet; I should sometime.
I think my choice would be ((I know what's gonna happen as soon as I say it; someone'll bring out an album with that duet on it)) It's A Dangerous Game! from Jekyll and Hyde. I've got video clip ideas for that, seriously. There's several songs I'd just like to hear him serenade me with ((it's the longest shot in the world, but it doesn't hurt to dream)), and I'm actually terrified of sounding horrible in front of him that I haven't really considered which song I would most desperately like to sing with him.
I'm sure I'll think of another option when I go to bed tonight.

Totally agree with ya, Marie!!!!! My first choice would be It's A Dangerous Game, and even I myself don't know why. And my other choices are: A Girl in the Valley (yes I love this show so much!) All his duets done with ONJ in the Main Event (Who can refuse his pop style?)
There surely would be more, gotta think it over~

My choices would be:
1. Take Me As I Am
2. How Could I Ever Know (although they barely sing together, just at the end, but it's really lovely)
3. The Prayer (the Celine Dion/Andrea Bocelli duet)
If, by some miracle, that dream of dreams actually does happen, though, I'm sure I'd be mesmerized by his voice and forget to sing my lines. Hmm... being serenaded by Anthony is another miracle...

I agree with you both - as much as i would want to, i doubt i could actually open my mouth to sing with Ant; it would be both a fear of sounding horrible alongside his splendour and just not wanting to do anything other than stare and listen in bliss.... although heck, "Dangerous Game" would be so tempting!

The 'sssssss...' always reminds me of a snake. It's so evilly delicious. The reason I didn't choose Dangerous Game is the thought I would be at a high risk of dying from a heart attack under his temptation--who can resist it?-- So I just leave the risk to you all. ;D *hides*

Hey, but who wouldn't want to die happy? I say, if anything's gonna kill us, let it be a duet/serenade by Warlow.
Okay I'm being mean, I know, I'm sorry; but seriously ... I always thought of it as a snake too. *visions of Warlow's flicking tongue, faints in overwhelming glee*

I'd say "icky poo" to you Mar, but we both know that's not really what i'm thinking, hehe! Those tights........ But going back to the topic of duets, i'm trying to blend Ant's and Ana Marina's (her full and only name) voices together as best i can in my head, but i want some sample of a rehearsal or something to leak out so we can hear!

Well from the audio we've heard of Ana they're gonna make a cute sounding couple ... *cough* I don't know what's going on up there, but my mind is making too many come-back comments for me to make sense of.

In the interests of public sanitation, I return to the question posed at the beginning at the post:
I'd want to sing 'O Captain I've Important Information' from HMS Pinafore, with Anthony as the baritonal Captain Corcuran and my baritone struggling to hit Richard Alexander's bass notes
I know you're only supposed to pick one, but since this second choice isn't a duet I guess it doesn't count: The quartet from Anthony's version of Jekyll 'Work and Nothing More' Anthony soaring over the top as Jekyll, and me setting the scene as John Utterson... you can fight amongst yourselves as to who gets to be Sir Denvers and Lisa

I much prefer the role of Lucy, but I can't resist the part of Lisa in that situation! It's so sad when he's calling out to her ... *sigh*

Loving the phrasing of the words there, Mar! It's true though... the man is sex via vocal chords during that song, hehe! *Claps proudly* never have truer words been spoken!!! I'd love to sing something fun and light with him, like "When the children are asleep" from Carousel. or something nice like that.
