Totally random but...you're going to see Josh Groban? I LOVE him. I saw him earlier this year, I think in March. He was wonderful!

Hi all, well my baby (AKA Bridezilla), got married! We had lovely clear blue sky's and everything went quite well! She and Josh had a wonderful time and are now on their honeymoon in Qld. I've posted some pics that a friend emailed to me, I'll post some official photos later when they get them from the photographer. Don't both my girls look beautiful!!! That's Bridezilla (Jaclyn) in the white (of course! ) and her long suffering sister Claire as the Bridesmaid. It was a wonderful night and the happy couple had a great time... so everyone went home happy, even me!

AW! That's lovely mum - i'm so very happy for you! Did you cry *offers mum some tissues and a cuddle* Your daughters - my sisters, i guess, hehe! - look SO PRETTY, and very happy more importantly. Plus, i love Bridezilla's boquet! Was the cake yummy? *i'm always thinking of food, i'm sorry!*
OH MY! Tomorrow morning my penpal (and fellow Ant devotee) Fran will be arriving from the US! This is exciting for both myself and Cinta, who is also good friends with Fran. Expect much non-Ant-related squeeing from our corner over the next few weeks, hehe! (although of course there is always time and room for some Ant suqeeing, no matter the occassion)

Thanks neh dear! I cried all through the ceremony, from the minute Claire started up the isle... only just stopped by the time they were signing marriage cert. Jac (Bridezilla... doesn't she look like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth? But she's as tough as nails under that very sweet little girl exterior! Just like her mum I guess : , started to cry while her dad was walking her down the isle, and he stopped and dried her tears... so sweet! Her bouquet was very pretty, cream & orange roses with green berries and yellow and green orchards etc. I couldn't eat the cake (I'm allergic to eggs! ... God I miss cake!), but everyone said it was delish, caramel mud! I don't know if you can see the cake topper clear enough in the pic, but it's actually them. Jac had it made in England from photos... it really amazing. The lady who made it even put the little pearls and crystals on Jac's dress and the strips on Josh's tie. She went into such detail it's fantasitc... Jac wore an amethyst pendent around her neck, that has been worn by all brides (including me!) in my mums family (Jac is 4th generation to wear it!) and she even copied that on the cake topper! I hope you have a Phantastic time while your friend is here! *dance* Such a pity Phantom is not in Sydney yet... it would have been perfect for you all to go and see. 4 DAYS TO PHANTOM... *dance* *dance* *dance*

My friend has tickets to see Phantom in Syracuse this weekend and asked me to go because her date bailed on her! I haven't seen John Cudia yet, so it makes me giddy.

Just a bit of news, really.
On Sunday night ((and neh can vouch for me)) I had to perform at a 70th birthday party down at the football club. I hadn't actually been looking forward to this as my folks had tried to get me to learn a drinking song complete with guitar acc. - in less than a day. Thankfully I was able to just play the a few selections in my repertoire.
The wait was painful. Speeches, entree, more speeches, and then the longest time waiting for dinner to reach our table as for some reason the teens that were waitressing that night chose to serve our table last -_- I had been starving since 4 and so naturally I practically wolfed down the roast pork ((which was very bloody nice, thank you; crackling and apple sauce included)) ... part way through this the announcer gave me ten minutes warning about my performance.
Well known fact: Don't eat before you sing.
Nerves, a dry throat from the air conditioner ((right above our table?! Awe ...)) and a full stomach caused hell. IMO, at least. Probably wasn't a good idea to start with george's Breathe In Now ... but I needed to start and end on happy songs ((because it's wrong to end on a sad song - DESIREE FRAHN!!)), and that was one of the few happier songs I knew. Know. Ah, whatever.
((compared to most of the songs I usually sing, yes, BIN is happier))
Four songs later I returned to my table and skulled half a bottle of water.
It was a pretty good night. Lots of laughs, at least ((especially when I stuffed up as soon as I started ...)), and a damn good meal. There was another problem, though; whenever one particular woman played on her keyboard she played honky tonk. Correction: She played whatever song she had in her book in the honky tonk fashion. Thank the Goddess for Warlow's Face the Music album or she would have destroyed More and Always for me forever!! It was as painful as listening to Hannah Montana talking. Honestly.
Anyway ...
I ended up running into one of my old high school classmates; the last one I had run into was a guy I hadn't talked to at all back then and though I thought things were going well we always end up getting into an argument ((because he wants me to drink alcohol and I refuse to give him a "valid" reason other than "I don't want to")). This guy wasn't any different, bar from the fact he's much sweeter than the first ((and accepts the fact that I don't want to drink alcohol!!)). What happens? I don't get his number. *longs for a tantrum emote like the one in mobile phones*
Some time later - most likely after midnight - one of the nieces ((I think?!)) of John Smith ((yes, the man whose birthday it was [who was actually paying for EVERYTHING that night!!] is called John Smith, I swear)) came to me and introduced herself. Roseanne or Rosemary Cox, I think? Wife of John Cox ((who's caused us much grievance with his bloody wind machines)), I'm told. I suspect it was her that was singing along when I played Sound of Silence; turns out she's a music teacher at the Melbourne Con. and she wants to work with my voice.
*thud*
As I've run out of things to say ((for once XD)) I'll leave it there.

That sounds like a great evening Mar (well except for not getting the guy's phone number... know anyone else that was at the party that might be able to get it for you?). My daughter Claire has the same trouble... she doesn't drink and people are always trying to push her to try stuff, she gets fed up and eventually tells them off! Hope it works out with the music teacher... sometimes you just have to be in the right place at the right time!

Go Mar, go Mar, go go!
Josh Groban came into the audience on Monday night and waved at us!!!!! That's my highlight - that, and someone gave him acubra (which i wanted to do, were i sitting in the stalls) and he ended by playing the drums to Canto Alla Vita. AWESOMENESS! I swear, i would marry that man if i could!

Indeed! Spread that Josh-love! The only downer was that he performed "To Where You Are" (lovely song, i know) instead of "Not While I'm Around" at the last minute - which made me a bit of a sad panda!
