I know, that last note just.... and then.... like.... KAPOW! You're sitting there, all innocent, thinking "oh, this has been mighty nice" and then suddenly, your little bubble is burst and heaven breaks over you! And you'll never be the same.... *long stare into distance*

I remember so well the feeling of sitting in the audience and watching this divine creature dropping out of the sky when he sang this song. When he finished my hands were clenched so tightly to prevent myself crying out and whimpering I had finger nail cuts in my palms. And I was sitting next to my parents and eldest son!! I felt a weeny bit dirty!!!!!! My first public Antasm, in front of 4000 people!!!!

Nail marks? Would have been worse if you'd screamed "Oh God YES!!" or some such at the end of the song- that could have been quite embarrassing... And don't worry, I had sweaty hands at the end of "Music of the Night" at Phantom and wasn't quite breathing right XD
And neh, I totally agree with the KAPOW! statement. I was sitting there, before the little reprise, thinking 'quite nice- I'm impressed', before exclaiming to myself "How the hell is he singing so HIGH!!! Wow!!" and sitting next to my stereo with a weird little grin on my face....

I hope you took my advice to not sit near any sharp objects ... I was sitting on my bed, although I half fell off it in stunned amazement when I went to listen to it again, and smacked my head on my dressing table. I can now claim the bruise on my head was caused by Ant (indirectly).

I'm still giggling over what you wrote in Master of Disguise, so although I am sorry to hear that I'm laughing. Not at your injury, but ...
Probably best if I left this til tomorrow.

You can laugh at my injury if you want- i do. Everytime I do something, like falling down stairs, I just laugh for about 10 minutes....
And the bruise is going away now yay!

It doesn't say. It's a fair way down the list too, so this could have been early last year' or the year' before.

I've noticed a few web references to some Slava Grigoryan recordings which have Anthony Warlow on vocals - has anyone come across these? [/i] [/quote] Eeeeh? Really?? Interesting...Well Slava's mother is my highschool violin teacher!! I shall look into this...*rubs chin musingly*

I googled it and found this interview with Slava, where he briefly mentions his collaboration with Ant. Apparently they did a carols thing together, playing Silent Night. Click

I just modified your link to make it clickable ... are you sure that's the right one? It led to an Amy Winehouse interview.

Sorry, how do you do that? Yeah I had to search it again before I got to the right interview, just type in "slava grigoryan" and it should be in the list somewhere.

I'm trying to make all the long links like that; stops page-stretching ((at least on my screen; the first page of the petition is stretched for me due to the codes I put at the bottom and it's a tad annoying))

Returning to topic: Simon Stride always makes me laugh. He sounds like such a pansy. The blase way he says, "I wish Henry Jekyll in hell!" gets me every time. XD

lol not as much as a pansy as raoul! did anybody else laugh during phantom when raoul (john bowles) did the "so its to be war between us!" line, compared to Ant he's got nothing.... XD
