I would die. Of horror. Although I admit I'd give it a listen to see how he pulls it off without ripping his vocal chords to pieces. The poor poor vocal chords....They'd never stand a chance.....

I'm only going to watch it because I like Sweeny ((at least what I know of it from the Sweeny Todd Live in Concert DVD)), and Alan Rickman.

I can't wait for it, even though Sweeny will probably be all mainstream now, as movies have a tendency to do to musicals and also, it will be interesting to see how they pull it off as an 'adaptation' of Sweeny Todd, not a straight 'based on the musical' movie.

It's a bit more mainstream than when it was only on Broadway, but its still in the dark a fair bit- if one "popular" (read: airhead) girl from my school sings one line from Wicked, people will be punjabed! *whip*

Maybe we should present him with a list, then he could do "Anthony Warlow: By Request"....we can hand that over to him along with the petition, the multitude of photoshopped images, fan photos....XD

I'm not sure if he has already done these because I am a relatively new fan and only have the Best of Act One and Face the Music cds, but I'd love to hear him sing Mack the Knife and My Way. I think he'd have fun doing Mack the Knife!

I have a strong urge to hear Ant sing "For Once in My Life" I have a thing for that song, get shivers whenever I hear it XD Not sure if anyone's said it but I'd also like to hear him do "Moondance"

Oh yes, Moondance!! Darrin sings that, I love it. He also does a wonderful grunge for Mr. Bojangles; another one for Ant to try.

For those who haven't heard Mack the Knife, check out the movie "Beyond the Sea" which is a bio-pic on the life of Bobby Darrin, a 50s & 60s swing singer (Ant does some of his stuff on Face the Music). He was married to movie star Sandra Dee (immortalised in the Grease song). The movie stars Kevin Spacey as Bobby Darrin, who does all the singing, Kevin that is, not Bobby. It's a great movie and gives an insight into the US music scene at the time. Mack the Knife was a huge hit for Bobby Darrin.

I don't know, I don't follow Robbie Williams.

Yes, Robbie has done it, and he pretty much impersonated Bobby Darrin.

He pretty much impersonates anyone, which is why I don't follow him.
