Time for dreaming again.
Name songs that you would love to hear him sing in his future albums.
For me, the following came to mind immediately:
Only the very best ( from a French musical and translated into English)
On the street where you live - My fair lady. I recently fell in love with the song. I've grown accustomed to her face would be great too.
Sorry windbelle, invading the thread.

This may be a random idea but for some reason "They Live in You" from thr Lion King" stage musical popped into my head! I'm sure there are many more doozies but for the life of me my mind is a blank.

The songs that first came to my mind are all from German musicals: Gott ist tott from Tanz der Vampire, even better if he sings that duet Totale Finsternis in English. Der Letzte Tanz and Die Schatten wieden Laenger from Elisabeth, sad there isn't any English version but it will be nice to hear Anthony sing German!

Everyone loves "Elisabeth"... i must listen to it sometime, even though i loathe German when it's sung.

I think I'm the only one here who hasn't heard Elisabeth. But, naturally, I wouldn't mind introducing mysel in my real name in the hopes he'll sing ... well ... you know

I didn't get to see the musical ((couldn't afford to travel to Melbourne)). Nice song. I can imagine Warlow's voice on that; with those lovely "white notes" of his.

You know that so many jerks over at Youtube have evil things to say about Ant's white notes?! It makes my blood boil; who could question a man with as much training and skill and sheer brilliant intuition as he?! It's just plain stupid - he clearly states a million times over that's it's supported properly (duh!) and that he uses it only in certain circumstances within the musical theatre genre. I think they all just like a whinge; either you hate vibrato and you moan on and on, or you spot it's absence and you moan on and on! But that's very much OT, so i apologise. Do continue

eh they wouldn't know a good note if it stuck a blow tourch up their arses and pulled the trigger.
Now where were we?
Oh yes: Something for Warlow to sing. Let's go Labby: As the World Falls Down. Or ... OOOOOOOOH! Anything from The Scarlet Pimpernel. And Beauty and the Beast. Particularly Gaston's line:
"We'll be the perfect pair, just like my thighs!"

Hehee - oooh! He'd kick arsey arse in either the role of the Beast or Gaston - great thinking Mar! I must confess with shame that i had never considered those casting choices! And while it's odd to think of anyone other than Bowie singing 'As The World Falls Down", if anyone could do it, it Ant's for sure. And he'd bring out fresh elements to it simply with how his voice sounds and interpretes material.

I think he'd rock in If I Can't Love Her from Beauty and the Beast. A lot of other classical baritones have sung it, though. Those jokers in YouTube don't realize that Ant's brilliance lies in his ability to switch from baritone to tenor seamlessly, and, he can sing any range as a baritone or as a tenor. Listening to other baritones attempt to "sing" (and end up screaming or screeching) high tenor notes is just painful.
Anthony's voice is pure velvet, vibrato or no <so there, you YouTube ignoramuses>
Back to the topic (jumped on an off-topic wagon there), I'd positively swoon if he'd sing "Unusual Way" from Nine and "My Heart Is So Full Of You" from Anywhere I Wander. Lovely.

You said it coffeequeen! I mean, take for example and comparrison - Josh Groban. Now, i'm a VERY big fan of the dude - i'm practically as Grobanite-ish as an Aussie can be! - but his rather weak attempt (IMO) at "Music of the Night" at the 2006 Kennedy Centre Honours proves that, lovely and talented and adorable as he is, he just doesn't have the range - yet - that we can attribute to fellow baritone Ant... yes, there's a considerable gap of experience there, but my point still stands that Ant is bloomin' exceptional and always has been - a very very very very versitile and flexible voice on the most loveable personality this country has ever produced!!!! sigh! Oh yes! Back OT, i'd love to hear Ant do some Disney... i can't believe the notion has taken me before but this arvo i was listening to fellow Phantom-er Gary Mauer singing two of my favs "Out There" from "Hunchback" and "Go the Distance" from "Hercules" and i thought Ant would sound lovely doing the latter in particular. Also, an Ivor Novello song "The Land of What Might Have Been", which featured in the film "Gosford Park" with Jeremy Northam singing it (quite nicely too).

I'd like to hear him sing any of the famous Rat Pack numbers he hasn't recorded yet... Things like: The Lady Is A Tramp Everybody Loves Somebody I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm You're Nobody Till Somebody Loves You

Might be me being mad, but I think he'd be sexy as all hell singing a part in the trio "Belle" from Notre Dame, despite it's being the worst musical in all of God's own earth. Any of the three would do.
Also, I want him to record Gethsemane. I know it's part of his repertoire, I just want it recorded, damn it all!
EDIT: Ohhh! And it's just hit me!
Wouldn't he make the most DIVINE John Jasper from "Edwin Drood"?
I can just SEE him singing "A Man Could Go Quite Mad"... "Both Sides of the Coin"...
And, of course, as I am a future Rosa, the "Love & Moonfall" duet...
He also ought to sing the entire part of the Lord Chancellor in Iolanthe, and for some reason I can clearly see him as Sir Ruthven in Ruddigore.
And so ends my fantastic tirade.

I think neh said these roles, but I need to hear Anthony sing "If I Can't Love Her". Also, I'd love to hear him sing anything from the Scarlet Pimpernel score. His voice is perfect for the Wildhorn power ballad.

I said Pimpernel a page or so ago; the question is, which role? The suave and hilarious Percy or the cynical yet delicious Chauvelin?

Ideally both!!! I mean, if Phillip Quast got to do Neville and Archibald in The Secret Garden, then the possibility is always there!
