@unwinding- don't get my imagination going! its a vivid, strange, scary, dirty thing and can't be controlled sometimes! *XD* @marie-cris- have tried with a certain degree of success but if i push too hard she'll resist...its a slow on going process but i will get there... she doesn't want to see POTO with ant *thud* cos she's already seen it with donald cant in the 90's(it was supposed to be RG but am thanking god it wasn't him!!) will have to work on THAT as well.

... Who?
((seriously, I know nothing about everything; except Ant.))
Well at least she hasn't got a Guest fetish; that's just wrong. Have you tried playing any of Ant's covers from Phantom? His Music of the Night during the Back in the Swing Tour was damn good ((except for that last note!)).
Oh wait, Dorian has that. Well ... there's always Centre Stage ...

Donald Cant was RG's understudy in phantom during the brisbane shows in '96, he was very good. i bought her2 tickets for christmas cos she wanted to see it(i didn't cos RG was in it and even then i couldn't stand him) but she dragged me kicking and screamin. i read the blackboard of joy(doom) and saw it was DC. I haven't seen much else bout him but i remember he was good.

I dont know that I'd want him to record it, but I'd kill to hear Ant do Popular from Wicked *XD*
Or, slightly more serious, Defying Gravity or the Wizard and I (John Barrowman did a reasonable version of the latter, so he wouldn't be the first male to do them)

That is true *grumbles about screwed up Australian casting*

Just the fact that two Aus Idol contestants are doing Wicked is enough to make me happy to out off trapsing to Melbourne to see it. But on the subject of Ant doing Defying Gravity; i think it could work nicely. Raul Esparza did a kick-arse version of it live once, and whilst he's usually cast in pop-rock musicals, he has a very classical-sounding tone ands vibratto.

Casting for Wicked... *fumes*
Although, has anyone else heard the casting rumors regarding Les Mis? It's ETA is 2010 for Melbourne, and the common theory doing the rounds is that as Phantom finishes in 09, the cast will be given a break and then most of them picked up for Les Mis.

Ant again?
(Surely not with his musical...?)

There's been no comfirmation, but that seems to be the go. And if you think about it, it's easy to just pick up another show's cast, shuffle them around and then just re-cast what you need.

So that's a common rumour, that he's gonna do Les Mis again too? Can't see it happening, to be honest. Isn't he one for giving the public a break from him (not that we want one)?
And his musical!

First his musical, then PoM, now Les Mis ...
We're turning into one of those boards that spreads rumours. >)_<

I doubt he'll go to Les Mis- look at how long it took him to agree to do Phantom again! And imagine the impact on him vocally, physically and emotionally of going from one huge tour to another.
And then, of course, there's Anthony! The Musical. We really need to get casting on that...

Of those three, the only one I can see is his musical. He has more brains than to do PoM and I don't know if he'd want to go back to another show he's already done. Time for something fresh. That's how I'd rationalise matters, anyhow.
And his musical isn't a rumour; it's confirmed (or at least, it's confirmed there have been discussions about it.)

I didn't mean his musical was a rumour; I'm just thinking about the effects spreading news too soon ...
... and that he hates rumours.

^ Spreading what news? The musical? That was in an article...
I don't think he minds us speculating. Everyone here is very careful to label things as "unconfirmed". It's misinformation he hates, saying that he's definitely going to be doing so-and-so when he hasn't even sneezed in the role's direction.

^ *hands out hanky*
I think he'd be especially cheesed if I kept spreading my Jekyll & Hyde banner around. Someone at lj actually contacted me squealing, "Anthony Warlow's doing J&H?!"
(After that, I added the note, "Jekyll and Hyde is not coming," in case of repeat performances.)

He should do J&H though!
And some people can be blind to strikeouts and just see want they want to see...

^ That was me struggling to contain the secret.
I just want to know for certain who's doing Jekyll and Hyde. It may or may not effect my desire to see it ((not that it's a big desire in the first place, being the Broadway version and all))

I would love to hear Anthony record "All of You," and perhaps "The Best Is Yet To Come."
