^John Utterson, back in his tenor days of Jekyll: The Complete Work, not his baritone days of the Broadway Cast ... Anthony's best friend, confidant, and not to mention teh amazing quartet Work and Nothing More! > Finding Anthony Warlow bootlegs is becoming increasingly difficult - - I am upset by this... V What do you think would be a good name for Anthony's son (if he ever has one)?

^ The media induced part of my mind is saying Jason. I'm afraid I can't think of anything better at the moment. > Alexa called me earlier and suggested I wear the dress I wore to my formal; it's one of those "princess" gowns but we'll be removing one of the under layers so it's not so poofy. I can't wait; 3 years ago I was just squeezing into the dress but now it fits perfectly ((provided I put on my new corset underneath!)). Best thing of all it's not restricting on my breathing. Hopefully there'll be some footage of the night or some photos at best. ;D ;D ;D V Hungry?

^ Not right now, but I've been craving for some dark chocolate for a couple of weeks.
> I'm taking a break from my voice lessons for the summer. I know I should have pressed on since singing full time in a choir for close to 7 years has pared down my solo voice, and it's only after I've left the choir that I'm getting my voice back in shape. But... there are no buts, darn I shouldn't have stopped...
V If advancement in your career meant moving to another country and leaving your family behind, would you do it?

^ For my longing to see Europe, yes. of course I'll still miss everyone but I can't deny my love of music, and if travelling abroad means learning something about it I have yet to know, I'll take it up. > Talk about coincidental; last night Alexa called me up and suggested that I wear my formal dress when we sing the trio for Music on the Murray; it's a black dress with an upside down V cut on the left side revealing white silk and netting, with a black and white flower at the point of the V; a princess/ball gown. So for the first day of the Gala I WAS in a ball gown! ;D V What was your formal like? ((or if you haven't had it yet, what do you think your formal will be like?

^ I actually had two Year 12 formals (one year 10) coz i split my HSC over 2 years; the first was better than the second by far! But i liked my dress; it was pretty but comfy and that all i ask for! > I hate Uni work; every semester i vow to be on top of my assignments and every semester i fail at that, utterly. boohoo V If you could master any random skill, what would you like it to be?

^ umm ... Linguist. ;D I'd love to understand every language. Either that or know everything there is to know ((and then some)) on mythology - any mythology. ALL mythology. Not much of a skill, I know, but it's what I want.
> I'm so screwed, I have to hand up a five minute piece for composition class in 5 weeks and I can't compose anything along the lines of what's expected! You've heard my songs ((well, some of them)), you know that's all I can do ((and poorly)).
V Has the weather been kind where you are?

^ It's fiendishly hot here. Thank God for air conditioners!
> No school break for me. I'll be graduating soon, and our instructors decided that we should just plow on until we finish everything, leaving a lot of time for my class to prepare for graduation. Meanwhile, everyone else is on vacation. bummer...
V What was your favorite cartoon as a kid?

> Captain Planet, for sure! What a show... fun, and informative (hehe) Plus, it had one heck of a theme song! (i read the term "cartoon" as a tv show - "animation" is the term i use for films) > I have days, especially when the weather is hot/warm, that i feel ridiculously lazy and unfit and increasingly chubby ... then i go home and eat heaps! Hurray for my logic! V What, in your opinion, IS Grimace - the big smiling purple... "thing" at McDonalds alongside Ronald and Birdie and Hamburgular? ?? Honestly, what is he?! It's the question most asked by drunk customers at 1 at night at the 24 hous Mcas in town!

^ An imaginative mind can see things a rational outlook cannot conceive of
> Anthony's early morning beverage of choice at the moment is peppermint tea with honey (no milk)
V What do you do when you can't sleep?

^ Listen to music, sometimes Anthony's soft songs. It can really calm me. > I received my DVD of Pirates of Penzance this noon!!! I couldn't help smiling even when I was told about my terrible math score. They all thought me crazy. I was, indeed! V Are you crazy about collecting bootlegs?
Post by windbelle on Jun 20, 2007 20:02:06 GMT 9.5
^ Not really crazy, but I'd do my best to get any Anthony stuff.
> I'd like to try some peppermint tea too, but in the morning I only have things like soybean milk. Just curious, Greg, how do you find it out? You have breakfast with Anthony? :-)
V would you rather do theoretical work or practical work?
Post by neh on Jun 21, 2007 22:15:10 GMT 9.5
^ Oooooh..... um, i guess practical (but i mean this in the strictly performance-based way i view practical work, because stick me in a science lab and i haven't a clue what to do!)
> I seem to have very heat sensitive ears and cold sensitive fingers and toes. Not good in winter.. not good at all!
V Paintings or photos? What is more 'artistic' in your mind?
Post by steamroller60 on Jun 22, 2007 17:30:08 GMT 9.5
^ paintings. even the most unartistic person (me) can get a decent looking photo. Not that easy with paint.
< last night's Sideshow taping was FANTASTIC.
V do you watch the ABC mucH?
Post by neh on Jun 24, 2007 11:46:40 GMT 9.5
^ I do sometimes. I try to watch Sideshow and Spicks and Specks and Parky when i remember to, and now that Doctor Who is coming back i'll probably be catching that (although i've already seen episodes - thanks Youtube!)
> I loathe sleeping in. The actualy lying in bed part is fine but the minute you're fully awake and realising how much of the morning you've lost - i hate that feeling.
V Do you find it easier to knowingly digest mindless trashy gossip from a magazine or from tv?

^ One of the benefits/disadvantages to working in the icty is that you get to travel every day and find your copy of MX on the train - for those non-Melbourne and -Sydney people, MX is a trashy condensed version of the Herald Sun (which is already trashy and condensed) that is handed out free on the train network
> Having just inished exams, I think sleeping in is WONDERFUL!
V What (besides the obvious) could you just not do without?
Post by Marie-Cris on Jul 1, 2007 20:53:56 GMT 9.5
^ Aside from the obviously obvious, my answer is music.
> "You are my muuuuusic, beautiful muuuuuuusic ... !" That other Phantom recording has grown on me, pity I don't have all the tracks!
V What would you do if two of your friends were fighting for the affection of another friend? ((Love triangle situation ... ish))

^ I've been there before about 3 times and i try to help out but in the end, i tend to give up and do my best to ignore them, because they don't want my help, hehe!
> Mar, didn't i send you what i had of Phantom and as such it's my own stupid fault for not having all the tracks?! I'm sorry Captain!!
V Basic question: are you for or against HP and the fandom of HP (and if you don't know what i mean by HP, I may just have to track you down and shoot you... several times)
Post by Marie-Cris on Jul 1, 2007 21:47:26 GMT 9.5
^ I wouldn't necessarily make a "for" or "against" comment for HP. I'm intrigued that something so simple has caused such a reaction; I find it rather funny. I think some people may be a bit too obsessive about it; there is a site somewhere that lists all the happy potter fan forums ((most of them proboards forums)) on the net, and there's a hell of a lot of them. Not really a straight answer but I can't give one. < You gave me all that you could, yes; don't fret neh. I'm just pining to hear the whole thing. V Which would you rather learn: German or French?
Post by buff on Jul 20, 2007 9:16:10 GMT 9.5
^ French - I started learning at high school and it's just much easier on the ear. < It's now less than 24 hours until I get the new HP book. Planning to spend a fair bit of time reading over the weekend! V Have you ever performed with someone famous? Buff

Post by Marie-Cris on Jul 20, 2007 15:48:46 GMT 9.5
^ Sort of. Julie Anthony ((because she came from here)), Timothy Sexton ((who did a season of Pretty Women in Adelaide recently - or it's going on now, I don't know [and for those who don't know, he was musical director to Warlow, Hobson and Connelli for The Mikado in Adelaide in 05])), David Thelander, Deborah Carr ((both from the S.A. Opera company [Adelaide Opera, I think??)), Pot-Pourri ((I can't remember how to spell it)) ... I guess that's it so far, unless you count famous locals.
> It's so cold - WHYYYYYYYYYY?!
V Favourite cheese? ((if you eat cheese))
Post by neh on Aug 19, 2007 10:18:31 GMT 9.5
^ Parmesan (or however it's spelt) I love it with spag bol, and it gives you an immense sense of power when the choice of your cheese can make everyone want to move away from you due to the smell, hehe!
> As a kid, I used to think that the black substance that is one most compositions of bricks was in fact vegimite, and once or twice, i tried licking it... (i'm staring at the wall as i say this)
V Do you prefer Aussie humor, Brit humor or US humor when it comes to both tv sitcoms and stand-up comedians???
Post by Marie-Cris on Sept 28, 2007 23:28:08 GMT 9.5
^ Oh, umm ... I have to tie between Aus and English. Tough choice.
> When I was little I used to sneak into the kitchen, climb up onto the bench ((without the aid of a chair; I really love to climb)) and eat vegemite by the handful. *hand on heart* Truth.
V Seen Phantom yet, or are you going to see it in its course?

^ I saw Phantom in NY with my other favorite Erik, Howard McGillin. Aside from having a breathtaking voice- which, apparently, others loathe due to his ever-present vibrato- he is also a wonderful actor.
> I wonder why Raoul is now portrayed by tenors. I liked it better when Raoul was a baritone (e.g. Steve Barton+)- for me, having a strong sounding Raoul as Erik's rival lent more intensity to the plot (and made All I Ask Of You sound more romantic, to boot)
V If you were to star in a musical/opera, which role would you want to portray (regardless of actual singing/acting/dancing ability)?
Post by Marie-Cris on Sept 29, 2007 13:21:39 GMT 9.5
^ Just one? XD There's so many to choose from! Lucy in Jekyll and Hyde, Ruth in Pirates, Little Buttercup in HMS Pinafore ... Christine ... Eponine, Suzanna, Fiordiligi, Lakme, Zerlina, Belle - Best to stop here before I flood the whole page.
> I have to perform tonight and it wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the fact that Jan *shudder* will be playing on her keyboard; all that honky-tonk crap that drives me nuts. I DON'T WANNA GO! PLEASE DON'T MAKE ME!!!
...
V If you could watch any film ((just one)) with Warlow, what would it be? ((I don't know how I thought of that))
