^ Winter. A real winter, with frosts and fogs. > Every time I move towns, the winters get warmer and warmer. I figure it's because I hate summer so much, fate is going to make sure the summers get hotter and hotter. I am glumly resigned to the fact that I will ultimately wind up in Brisbane or Townsville or somewhere equally as hot. Blah. V Does fate hate you?

^ Well now; I believe that fate is what you make of it. > I was sitting down at my computer one day and these annoying pop up ads kept showing up. I'd get rid of them and more would follow. They were from different agencies or advertisers but consisted of the same topic. I was being hounded by Online Dating Services. Finally, I gave in and decided to click on one of them just to see what it was about. I ended up placing an ad but thought I was as offensive as possible. And wouldn't you know it, on March 8, 2009 my husband and I will be married six years. Six glorious years at that. v Has anyone ever had an awesome experience come out of a situation or event that they believed would have ended up in misery or normally would not have even bothered with?

^ Possibly. My half-hearted attempt to get into somehow succeeded, despite the fact that I really didn't want to go to Wagga. In hindsight, uni was hell, but if I hadn't done that I wouldn't have my current job. Which is usually great. > I was running late for work this morning, and so I just stuck my hair in a ponytail instead of my usual plait. The boss decided that he should now ban me from wearing my hair in a ponytail. It just seems odd. I'm already incredibly paranoid about turning my back to machinery, and if I suddenly decided to do so, surely it makes more sense that my hair is in a ponytail so the individual hairs will break, rather than in a plait where it'd hold together. The notion of getting my plait stuck in the buffer haunts me at times.
It isn't as though he needs to ban it anyway. This is the second time I've worn my hair in a ponytail in the year I've been working for him. Does he really think I'm suddenly going to boycott my plait permanently? If nothing else, it hurts too much when I sit on it.
V Ever been given a new rule that makes no sense?

^ yes. Too many to count and name < I'm exiled in my room, but I have music and my laptop, so I'm terribly happy. Well, there are a few things I'd love to have in my room right now, but they're close to impossible to obtain. v What do you wish for at this moment?

^ More time, and super powers/a tardis to get things that are equally impossible to get > I'd really like to have a week just magically appear out of nowhere, that doesn't count for school or work or even appear on the calendar. There's so many things I'd really like to get sorted that are just being delayed again and again, so much music practice that I plain out don't have time for any more, as well as all this revision for school that we're somehow supposed to fit into our 'lives' v Something that you've missed out on for the sake of something much less important/interesting?

^ I missed a theatre workshop at the Festival Theatre run by Philip Quast - because I was taking the train "home" from the city. I'm still angry at Madame Dylan hiding the Festival Theatre program until I got home that day.
> I'm a bit sad at the moment. Among other things, I really wish work would give me a shift so I can get back on my feet.
V Ever wonder about where you'll be 5 years' from now?

^ recently, very often > decisions decisions about which state, what uni, which course, to persue music or go into medicine etc.. gets fairly tedious after a while but it's getting to the point where it's unavoidable. v got a friend that ended up doing something you'd never have thought they would?

^ Um... one of my friends from high school, the last time I spoke to her she was a stripper and living with a Satanist. Although, that may not count. I never would have sat down and thought, 'right, that's what Eva will end up doing'..... but I wasn't particularly surprised. > I've got a sore thumb. I end up washing my hands a lot at work, which is fine in summer, but in winter my skin gets so dry that it cracks. I've been going through so much hand cream stuff, but still my thumb has a crack in it. I think I need to up the amount of times a day I apply said hand cream. V Do you have any niggling problems that only occur with winter? (Or with summer, I guess....)

^ I can't wait for July. For various reasons. Late-ish July....
> I had a very odd day at work today. The first half was great, and the second half was awful. They seem to have cancelled each other out, so now I am neither stressed nor happy. Just sort of neutral.
V Ever had a day that was half great and half awful?

> I just got a comment on Jayko's video of US that it was too morbid and should be shown at his funeral. I kid you not.
V Most exciting thing that's happened to you lately?

^ Most exciting thing.... is not going to be repeated here. Sorry. Most exciting thing for the day - I finished every repair in my box at work. Yay!
> It's turned into a lovely day here. All cold and windy and trying to rain.... I wish everyday was like this.
Good day for curling up in front of a fire with someone nice...
V Favourite weather? And favourite thing to do in said weather?

^ I like rainy days, particularly if they're stormy. But not too cold. I like to find a good window and watch the lightning.
> Cold and windy here too; wish the fire was on.
V Either someone's been entering codes without permission of ProBoards decided to do this to all forums - anyone notice the Attachment bar?

^ ... what attachment bar?
> I have a massive long list of house cleaning jobs to do that I carefully wrote up on Friday. It is now halfway through Sunday, and I haven't done one of them. Bugger.

> There's an Attachment bar undernreat the Subject bar when you post. I remember trialing that on a test board but never putting it on here. And yet it's here.
((Just don't stress Fred))
V Ever had an animal residing in your house that you just couldn't stand? ((I'm referring to my sister's cockatiel that we're looking after, if you're wondering)).

^ I don't think so. I didn't like Mum's chihuahua cross mini foxy very much, but I didn't hate her. She was actually quite nice when she wasn't trying to rip my arm off.
> So there is. I can also see that attachment bar. I just didn't really look at it, if that makes sense.
I'll try not to stress about it, but there are some things that really must be done. Just don't be too concerned if there's a pile of junk on the spare be... hang on, that's not going to work.... *sigh*
V Ever take short cuts with your cleaning?

> As I said, I honestly don't mind; I'm used to things like that.
V Has anyone else been having weird weather lately?

Post by Fredus on Oct 25, 2009 13:57:12 GMT 9.5
^ Not really. It's all over the place, but that's not really unusual at this time of year. We have got a lot of rain lately, but I'm not sure if that's unusual here, or if it's just surprising to me because I always seem to live in rain shadows.
> I just remembered that my friend is getting married in 20 days, and I still haven't gotten her a wedding present. Argh!!! It does sound like plenty of time, but I was going to buy her something from a shop about an hour and a half's drive away, and I'm not going to make it there in the next 20 days.
V Ever get your mind so set on buying something particular for someone, that you can't consider any other options?

> I love ginger tablets. I was bus sick for ten hours while going to Sydney, but then I bought ginger tablets and the trip back was free of sickness. Yay for Jazz who suggested them!

^ I was excited for Pirates, but that was a long time ago. Sorry...
> I am excited for the weekend, though! I'm going to my brother's wedding, and my whole family will be there. It's the first time I've seen any of my family since I moved to SA last year - I've missed them so much! It's also the first time in years that the family has been in one place at one time.
V Do you see your family a lot?
